  • Computer turns on and off very quickly, then nothing, then works?

    The strange nature of this problem is what is stumping me. I built my computer about 7 months ago using all new parts off of Newegg (not a kit or anything). One day, I wake up and turn on my computer. I press the power button and it turns on, but then back off after half a second. I press the power button again, this time nothing. I continue pressing the power button while at the same time turning the power supply on and off (to try and reset things). The power button still does nothing. But then, after about 5 minutes, WALLAH, it works just fine like nothing was ever wrong. It goes for an entire week working just fine. Then, one morning, the entire process starts again. I press the power button and it comes on and then right back off. I press the power button several times and nothing happens, and then it works again after a couple minutes of trying. What is going on with my computer?

  • Facebook Error: "The client token cannot be used for this API" - works on DEV and STAGE but not on LIVE app?

    I've built a notification sending system that sends notifications to all users of our app, using the app access token. This system is currently running on my localhost. When I configure it with the appid and appsecret for my dev and stage environments, it works fine. But when I put in the appid and appsecret of the LIVE app, I get this error: {"message":"The client token cannot be used for this API", "type":"OAuthException", "code":190} So what's different between dev and live? Dev and Stage are in sandbox mode, Live is not. So I tried disabling sandbox mode on Dev/Stage and they continue to function fine. Dev works fine, Stage works fine, Live gives this error. All other code is the same except for the appid, appsecret, and redirect_uri (changing it to match the domain of each environment). I have checked this post, but unfortunately resetting our appsecret on a site with 1,000,000 users is not something we can do at the moment (too much other functionality relies on it).

I tried installing ultravnc, which works when I access it directly by IP, but it doesn't seem to advertise itself in the network. Any ideas?

    I have a multi-functional machine which is both a laser printer and a scanner (Samsung SC-4705ND) I am not able to make the scanner work with the (software) firewall installed in my computer turned on. Operating system is ubuntu 12.04 with regular firewall. if firewall is turned off then everything works as expected I run nmap to discover open services on the samsung machine and I opened all these ports: 80, 427, 515, 631, 5200, 9100, 10001 but with not luck.. How should I configure firewall?

  • No external network on ubuntu 9.10, though dns works..

    Hi, I have a weird problem I cant solve. I have several computers, two with xubuntu 9.10 One of them, acting as a media server, has stopped to work when it comes to external network.. I can do for example: ping google.com Which gives me an ip adress back, like: name@Media:/etc$ ping google.com PING google.com (66.102.9.147) 56(84) bytes of data. That tells me it reaches the dns?, but I get no response at all... If I ping a local computer all works fine. I can also reach the computer via ssh without any problems. I have always used network manager, but now I uninstalled it and made the settings manually like this: /etc/network/interfaces auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.52 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 192.168.1.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255 gateway 192.168.1.1 Still no luck. I have no specific settings for this one in my router, and all the other computers, including my win laptop works fine.     Problem: I have a device that send to me some commands (e.g: 1,2,3,...), i want simulate mouse and keyboard events according to received commands in Both Linux OS and Windows OS. I worked with bool QCoreApplication::postEvent(QObject *receiver, QEvent *event, int priority = Qt::NormalEventPriority) but i don't know what receiver pass to it and i has problem with MouseMove action with it. I found this help that works good in linux OS, but i have problem with this help approach in Windows OS. Is there any approach that works in both OS? Thanks for your attention.

I have: <input id=datepicker type=image src='cal.png'> When I click on the image in FF/IE, it works as expected, but does not work in Chrome (ver. 4.1.249.1064). However if I simply change to "type=text", it works within Chrome. So my question is this: am I allowed to use Datepicker with "type=image"?

HttpSession session = req.getSession(true); session.setAttribute("loggedIn", new String("true")); Edit: The sessions are enabled. What I realized now is that the _ah_SESSION variable is not being created, not even on the development server (although it works).

    The USB connection is unstable with Nexus S (Android 2.3.4) on AMD 64 running 64-bit Windows 7, but it works with 32-bit Windows Vista. Problem Description: On the 64-bit Windows 7 machine my Nexus S appears to connect, but then it disconnects moments later. Neither accessing USB storage or loading an Android application package file (APK) using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) work. On 32-bit Windows Vista using the same USB cable, USB storage works. I haven't tried the ADB on 32-bit Windows Vista. Reproduction steps for USB storage: (I have provided the reproduction steps for USB storage and not ADB, because if one isn't working, then the other isn't working either and the USB storage reproduction steps are shorter to document.) Connect the USB cable to the Nexus S and my Windows 7 machine. Effect: The "USB Mass Storage, USB Connected" dialog appears with the button "Turn on USB storage." Click "Turn on USB Storage" Effect: The "working circle" appears. A dialog briefly appears saying "USB storage in use," then it either returns me to Step 1 (now that I am running 2.3.4) or is replaced with the Nexus S's application homepage (while I was running 2.3.3). I'm not sure if the version matters, but I mention it for completeness. On the 32-bit Windows Vista machine the connection is stable. I am able to navigate through the Nexus S file system create, read, update, and delete files, etc. I haven't tried connecting with the ADB. Troubleshooting summary: Tried and failed: Uninstalling and reinstalling the Android USB drivers including removing the files. Uninstalling my custom software Pulling the Nexus S's battery Restarting the Nexus S Restarting 64-bit Windows 7 Changing USB ports on the 64-bit Windows 7 box Compared the dates and file size on the DLLs in my google-usb_driver\amd64 directory and the windows\System32 directory. They match. The sizes for the google-usb_driver\i386 directory do not match (expected). Turning off Debugging mode on the Nexus S does not resolve the problem. Searching Google. Tried and succeeded: Connecting to another machine (Windows Vista) using the same USB cable and Nexus S phone. Troubleshooting observations: I notice that uninstalling the device drivers and deleting the files, then reinstalling the drivers, then rebooting 64-bit Windows 7 then unplugging the Nexus S, then plugging it back in occasionally helps for a short amount of time (minutes to hours, not days). When it is working, I can both access the Nexus S's drive and load/test applications using the ADB. I have observed some wonky behavior in the Device Manager that I haven't tracked down. Sometimes the black Nexus S image appears in the list of devices. Sometimes the image displays as a computer with a green ISA card. Sometimes it neither appears on the top level of devices nor under “other devices,” but it does appear under "disk drives" as "Android UMS Composite USB Device." System configuration: The Nexus S is running Android OS 2.3.4's "Settings\about phone\System updates" indicates that it is up to date as of May 21st 2011. Both 32-bit Windows Vista and 64-bit Windows 7 are up to date. The Windows Vista system is running on an Intel 32-bit processor. Windows 7 is running on an AMD 64-bit processor. I have done Android development on both systems, but I usually develop on the 64-bit Windows 7 machine.

    Initially I suspected a missing driver, but then sound ( for movies,songs etc ) works fine on the other non-administrator account, but does not work when I log in to the Administrator account. And yes..I have checked the sound volume and mute status as well.   • Google and Yahoo redirect my site to malware, but direct url works fine. Any computer

    I can go directly to the site doublewing.org or www. without issue, but if I click on the link in google or yahoo it redirects to spam sites. Swagbucks works though! This is not on a single computer this happens on systems isolated from each other(Try it, avast blocks it) . The site is runing joomla 1.5.25 . I deleted .htacces, put fresh index.php and index2.php files. and still get the same results. Any ideas?
