  I have created an admin panel for a client in PHP, which requires a login. I dont want to have to make seperate queries for each categorised group of discs either, as Id eventually have 30 queries being run as categories increase, so hoping to hear some suggestions or alternative approaches :) Thanks

• Using LINQ to create a simple login

In short, I want to create a really basic login system: one which runs through a database and uses sessions so that only logged in users can access certain pages. I know how to do most of that, but I'm stuck with querying data with LINQ on the login page. On the login page, I have a DropDownList to select a username, a Textbox to type in a password and a button to login (I also have a literal for errors). The DropDownList is databound to a datatable called DT_Test. DT_Test contains three columns: UsernameID (int), Username (nchar(30)) and Password (nchar(30)). UsernameID is the primary key. I want to make the button's click event query data from the database with the DropDownList and Textbox, in order to check if the username and password match. But I don't know how to do this... • missing table in SQLite with specific version of HTC DESIRE HD

  My application has a SQLite database in the asset folder. When the user launches my application, the database is created and the tables too. This works fine with a lot of devices (Nexus One, Htc Magic, SGS, X10… and even Htc Desire HD v2.2). My application works with all versions of Android (tested on my device (1.6, 2.2, 2.2.1 Htc Magic) and on the emulator (v1,5 until v2.3). I have just a problem with HTC DESIRE HD v2.2.1 1.72.405.3. • C# IOException: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

  Hi, I have a slight problem. What my application is supose to do, is to watch a folder for any newly copied file with the extention '.XSD' open the file and assign the lines to an array. After that the data from the array should be inserted into a MySQL database, then move the used file to another folder if it's done. The problem is that the application works fine with the first file, but as soon as the next file is copied to the folder I get this exception for example: 'The process cannot access the file 'C:\inetpub\admission\file2.XPD' because it is being used by another process'. If two files on the onther hand is copied at the same time there's no problem at all. • NEED your opinion on .net Profile class VS session vars

  To save trips to sql db in my older apps, I store *dozens of data points about the current user in an array and then store the array in a session. For example, info that might be used repeatedly during user’s session might be stored… Dim a(7) as string a(0) = “FirstName” a(1) = “LastName” a(2) = “Address” a(3) = “Address2” a(4) = “City” a(5) = “State” a(6) = “Zip” session.add(“s_a”, a) *Some apps have an array 100 in size. That is something I learned in my asp classic days. Referencing the correct index can be laborsome and I find it difficult to go back and add another data point in the array grouped with like data. For example, suppose I need to add Middle Initial to the array as a design alteration. Unless I redo the whole index mapping, I have to stick Middle Initial in the next open slot, which might be in the 50s. NOW, I am considering doing something easier to reference each time (eliminating the need to know the index of the value wanted). So I am looking to do this… session.add(“Firstname”, “FirstName”) session.add(“Lastname”, “LastName”) session.add(“Address”, “Address”) etc. BUT, before I do this, I would like some guidance. I am afraid this might be less efficient, even though easier to use. I don’t know if a new session object is created for each data point or if there is only one session object, and I am adding a name/value pair to that object? If I am adding a name/value pair to a single object, that seems like a good idea. Does anyone know? Or is there a more preferred way? Built-in Profile class? Re: Profile class I have an internal debate about scope. It seems that the .net Profile class is good for storing app-SPECIFIC user settings (i.e. style theme, object display properties, user role, etc.) The examples I give are information whose values are selected/edited by the user to customize the application experience. This information is not typically stored/edited elsewhere in the app db. But when you have data that 1) is stored already in the app db and 2) can be altered by other users (in this case: company reps may update client's status, address, etc.), then the persistence of the Profile data may be an issue. In this case, the Profile would need to be reset at the beginning and dropped like a session.abandon at the end of each user's session to prevent reloading info that had since been edited by someone. I believe this is possible, but not sure Currently, I use the session array to store both scopes, app-specific and user-specific data. If my session plan is good, I think I will create a class to set/get values from the session also. I appreciate your thoughts. I would like to know how others have handled this type of situation. I am also open to different ways of achieving the same result. I tried via an sqldatasource but ran into problems when using variables as params (there is no option to select them, only controls, querystring etc)

If i remove the above line everything works fine.   Greetings all. I apologise for posting this problem here, but I do so in desperation after receiving no response on the SugarCRM forums. Even if a reader is unfamiliar with ZuckerReports or SugarCRM some general advice on Java may be of use to me. I have installed ZuckerReports v1.12 in SugarCRM 5.5.1. The installation in which the report runs correctly is of the same version, and has the same version of the ZuckerReports module. The report previously ran correctly on both installations. I think that the only changes that have been made on the installation in which the report now does not work since the report was last successfully run are the additions of a few custom fields in the Contacts module. These changes should have nothing to do with ZuckerReports. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ZuckerReports module, but the problem remains. A google search for the warnings given in the error message ie. * log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (net.sf.jasperreports.extensions.ExtensionsEnviron ment). * log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. Returns a few links (not specific to ZuckerReports) with tips similar to the following: * log4j.properties or log4j.xml needs to be on the classpath where log4j can find it. I cannot find a file with either of those names anywhere on my server, and yet the report can be run successfully on one of my SugarCRM installations. So I figure log4j must be being configured another way. Can anyone suggest a way to solve this problem? Or explain how I might discover how log4j is configured in ZuckerReports? Or explain how I might compare the working with the non-working installation in order to help find a solution? (I have tried searching for files containing "log4j" in both installations and comparing but all I can find are .jar files (nothing I can read with a text editor), and the .jar files found in each installation appear to be the same.)

• Configuring WCF to Handle a Signature on a SOAP Message from an Oracle Server

  I'm trying to use WCF to consume a web service provided by a third-party's Oracle Application Server. I pass a username and password and as part of the response the web service returns a standard security tag in the header which includes a digest and signature. With my current setup, I successfully send a request to the server and the web service sends the expected response data back. However, when parsing the response WCF throws a MessageSecurityException, with an InnerException.Message of "Supporting token signatures not expected." My guess is that WCF wants me to configure it to handle the signature and verify it. I have a certificate from the third party that hosts the web service that I should be able to use to verify the signature.   I've really been struggling through this. New to Java/Android. I'm writing my first app and this is the first thing that has taken me longer than a couple days of searching to figure out. Here's the setup: It's a BAC calculator / drink counter: A formula is used to calculate the BAC. Here's the forumla: Bac = ((StandardDrinks / 2) * (GenderConstant / Weight)) - (0.017 * Hours); So as you can see, being able to modify the gender and weight will produce more accurate and personalized results. So I have them as doubles: double GenderConstant = 7.5; //9 for female double Weight = 180; To change these variables I would like the person to be able to go into the settings and choose different values. I have these things set up, but not linked to the variables shown above because I cannot for the life of me figure out how. Here they are: I press the menu button and this pops up. Great. I'll click Settings. Now the preferences pops up.   I've been racking my brain (android newbie here, so not hard to do) for awhile trying to figure out how to accomplish this: Desired Layout using a RelativeLayout or something other than AbsoluteLayout which is what this was created with. I'm coming from a Windows programming background where the device adjusts the 'absolute' positioning for you and GUI layout was a non-issue. The first layout works great in the emulator, but doesn't format for my Nexus One or any other screen that differs from the emulator size. I expected this because it's absolutely positioned, but haven't found a solution that will format correctly for different screen sizes. My goal is to have the layout work for different screen sizes and in portrait / landscape. • Correcting CS0009 Error When Creating Integration Services Project

  Tried to open an SSIS project I had been working on today and received this lovely error: Unable to generate temporary class (result=1) error CS0009: Metadata file 'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Xml\2.0.0.0_b77a5c561934e089\System.XML.dll' could not be opened -- 'No metadata was found.' Anyone know why this happens and how to correct it, I've Googled and haven't found any valid solutions relating directly to SSIS. It is only happening with BIDS 2008 and SSIS project types and I tried the same packages (as well as creating a new one) on my other machine and it was fine. Any ideas? Thank you.

  Hi All, I'm currently struggling with this "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute" issue. I have searched about this error message, and it's all related to the foreach statement. I do have the some foreach statements, but they are just simply representing the data. I did not using any remove or add inside the foreach statement. NOTE: The error randomly happens (about 4-5 times a day). The application is the MVC website. There are about 5 users operate this applications (about 150 orders a day). Could it be some another users modified the collection, and then occur this error? I have log4net setup and the settings can be found here Make sure that the controller has a parameterless public constructor I do have parameterless public constructor in AdminProductController Does anyone know why this happen and how to resolve this issue? A friend (Oskar) mentioned that "Theory: Maybe the problem is that your configuration and session factory is initialized on the first request after application restart.   I'm looking for a Java library for SWIFT messages. I want to parse SWIFT messages into an object model validate SWIFT messages (including SWIFT network validation rules) build / change SWIFT messages by using an object model Theoretically, I need to support all SWIFT message types. But at the moment I need MT103+, MT199, MT502, MT509, MT515 and MT535. So far I've looked at two libraries AnaSys Message Objects (link text) Datamation SWIFT Message Suite (link text) Both libraries allow to accomplish the tasks mentioned above but in both cases I'm not really happy. AnaSys uses a internal XML representation for all SWIFT messages which you need to know in order to access the fields of a message. And you need to operate on the DOM of the XML representation, there is no way to say "get the contents of field '50K' of the SWIFT message". And the Datamation library seems to have the nicer API but does not find all errors. So does anyone know other SWIFT libraries to use?

I originally thought that there was no straightforward way to make such code interrupt driven in the kernel (as it's a cludge) but I realised that that's exactly what ETHDBG drivers do. Is there any reason why I shouldn't have a go at implementing a similar mechanism for our kernel resident I2C driver? If not, are there any obvious pitfalls - I've not seen any other BSP's do this in the past... A: You can make a 'proper' driver that calls down into the OAL to do the actual I2C transactions. Alternatively you can build an interrupt-based version in the OAL where you handle everything in the ISR. There is nothing wrong with that so long as the rest of your drivers and app threads can handle longer times with interrupts off while you are servicing I2C interrupts. • blog post code in asp.net

  I want to write a page where user's can write a blog post and publish it to the blog. I've downloaded blog engine .NET and looked at the code and I like the way they do it, but it's completely an overkill of what I need. What I need is only a title, author, date, and the blog post it self. I don't even want users to post comments or anything like that. My approach is to save all those blog post information into an xml and then when a page loads it loops around those xml files to show the blog post. Is there a tutorial on how to do this online? Especially for doing blog posts.
