  • crosshair tool, is there one? Visual studio 2008

    Hi, I am doing some image sampling. What my question is, is there a 'crosshair' tool in visual studio? I want to have several instances on a single form, be able to move them around and then sample those points, obviously returning the color of the pixel at the center of the crosshair, is there already a tool that will do this, before I go and write one?     I am trying to make a ranking manager for a small project.The totals are stored in the database.I can easily get the max and min using mysql and also arrange the records descending.The problem comes in when there is a tie.I need to show a tie in the form:1,2,3,3,4,5,6,7,7,7,7, etc.The repeated numbers will show the ties.I have been thinking of ways of achieving the above but i need more ideas;mine is seems long and complicated. Can anybody share his/her idea of doing the ties.

    Hi there, I am taking credit card details and I am taking the expiration date in two form field, one for the expiration month and one for the expiration year, I am wanting to store the expiration date as timestamp. Will strtotime("05/2010") create a time stamp or do I need to pass a day as well or is there an alternative? Thanks

  • Can I restore a single table from a full mysql mysqldump file?

    I have a mysqldump backup of my mysql database consisting of all of our tables which is about 440 megs. I want to restore the contents of just one of the tables form the mysqldump. Is this possible? Theoretically, I could just cut out the section that rebuilds the table I want but I don't even know how to effectively edit a text document that size.

  • Filter a CSV list in XSLT

    Hello SO; I'm trying to convert xml elements whose content is a csv list of identifiers, the exact form doesn't matter. I want to exclude every item that contains the character "/". The best I've come up with is translate(./someElement, ",*/*", "") but this has at least two problems; I'm pretty sure that xsl doesn't accept wildcards, and "," is an illegal character in xpaths. Is there a straightforward way to do this sort of thing?

    All my previous projects have had this workflow on Contact pages User submits form Controller gets $_POST details Controller validates details (and sets error messages if necessary) Controller sends email Controller redirects to thanks page Is this the standard workflow? I used to validate everything in controllers, and then did some more reading and they recommended against it. Therefore, should I send the $_POST details to a helper type object and let it do all the work (validation/sending)?

  • Add a custom jquery validation method not connected to a field

    Normally all validation methods is connected to a field, radiobuttons, dropdowns etc. In my case I would like to do a general custom validation that depends on many fields in my form. I dont want one field of them to become highlighted like a normal "required", i would rather just show a message in the errorcontainer. Is there a simple way to do this I have overlooked?
