  Hi All, I have a textbox like below <h:inputText value="#{bean.strQuantite}"> <a4j:support actionListener="#{tabacListCommandeAltadisDetailBean.actionListenerQuantity}" event="onchange" /> </h:inputText> I input some value into the textbox above and don't click outside the textbox yet. After that, I click a other button, then click event of button is not trigger. Instead of this, the event onchange of the inputtext above is trigger. I want to when clicking the button, the click event is trigged before. Can anyone help me to solve this problem ?

• How to wrap text of html button with fixed width

  I just noticed that if you give a html button a fixed width, the text inside the button is never wrapped. I've tried it with word-wrap, but that cuts of the word even though there are spaces available to wrap on. • A very weird problem with texbox control in .net

  Well i know textbox is a very simple user control, perhaps the first input control ever made. I have been facing a very frustrating problem with this simple control. I programatically add a textbox in my user control. From ui i am able to edit it like a normal textbox. however, i am not able to read the user inputed value in the program. my program all the time sees the old value with which my text box was initialized. i textchange event getting triggered but the value never gets updated. This seemingly looks to be some innocuous bug in the code, but the program is very simple and it does not seem to be having any bug. Any guidelines on this issue?

• paypal redirect on successful checkout

  I am trying to get my Paypal subscription to redirect to a custom page after a successful checkout. Before submitting to Paypal I overload the submit handler, run my own function (to store details) and return a unique id. I want to attach that id to my return URL. (as a GET or POST var so to speak) I have turned auto redirect "on" in my Paypal sandbox sellers preferences, but it only seems to re-direct to the URL that I HAVE to put in there. using the <input type="hidden" name="return" value="someurl" /> does no seem to work. I want it this way so that I can capture the user information when entered with a "non-paid" flag, then via the IPN I can update that record with a "PAID" flag, and I want to use the unique ID to tie it all together so to speak. Any advice or a different approach is welcomed. Many thanks!

It seems easier to pass around the string and convert into the native form I need, than dealing with json as I don't need to change anything once it is generated. • Live Character Count For EditText Android

  Hello, I was wondering what the best way to do a live character count of an edit-text box is in Android. I was looking at this but I couldn't seem to make any sense of it. To describe the problem, I have an EditText and I'm trying to limit the characters to 150. I can do this with an input filter, however I want to show right below the text box the number of characters a user has entered(Almost like stack overflow is doing right now). If someone could write a small snippet of example code or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance.

  Hi, I am a Javascript/jQuery/Prototype newcomer and I have a page that has a Prototype function to get info from a database and put it into some input fields. This was made before I came to work on this site and now I've been asked to add a hide/show div function. I tried it in jQuery and there were clashes with the two frameworks, (as found in my previous question). My question now is, how would I go about building a show/hide function in Prototype?   I have a custom ListBox which uses a custom Panel as ItemsHost. I want to have control over mouse wheel input, so that turning the wheel changes the single selected item. I believe that the best method to do so is to handle the OnPreviewMouseWheel event (although this is only have what I want since it doesn't provide horizontal wheel data). Now the big question: Is there a best practice where to handle OnPreviewMouseWheel? In ListBox (which by default doesn't have a clue about the arrangement of the Panel's child elements) or in Panel (which by default doesn't have a clue about the "IsSelected" property of it's child elements)?

  this seems to be a reoccurring issue: we receive a bug report for our software and with it tons of traces or logfiles. since finding errors is much easier when having a visualization of the log messages/events over time it is convenient to use a tool that can display the progression of events in a graph etc. (e.g. wireshark (http://www.wireshark.org) for analyzing network traffic) what tool do you use for such a purpose? the problem with most tools i used so far is that they mercilessly break down when you feed them huge data traces ( 1GB) so some criteria for such a tool would be: can deal with huge input files ( 1 GB) is really fast (so you don't have to get coffee while a file is loading) has some sort of filtering mechanism

I would like to add an interceptor on the method in order to validate the parameters. this one will read some values from the DB. i would like that this interceptor is EMBED in the transaction declared for the endpoint (or this opposite). In other words, i want them to be in the same transaction. • Options for non-native form inputs for the web?

  I'm wondering if there are any good non-native form inputs for web development? I am currently using the built in <input> controls. They work just fine, but for my application they are too big (especially on OS X). I am wondering if there are any libraries that I can drop in as replacements. I am especially interested in ones that: Are a close to native control behavior as possible. Support for tabbing, highlighting current textbox, pressing up/down in <select>, etc. Have something that replicates <select> Look good and are compact I am aware that you can use CSS for some styling, but it's pretty minimal and looks different depending on the browser.   I'm having difficulty to understand the logic behind the method to find the second highest number in array. The method used is to find the highest in the array but less than the previous highest (which has already been found). The thing that I still can't figure it out is why || highest_score == second_highest is necessary. For example I input three numbers: 98, 56, 3. Without it, both highest and second highest would be 98.   I am writing a plugin for another application. I want to support the plugin on multiple platforms, so I am strongly considering using Qt. The plugin needs to be able to show some basic GUI. The plugin interface does not in any way handle GUI - it is just a simple DLL/shared library specified with a C-header file. Can I use Qt inside such a shared library? The calling application might or might not be using Qt itself. Any hints on what to do? Do I need to run a QApplication event-loop in a separate thread? Or can I just call the event-loop myself while waiting for input? (I only need modal dialogs).

It was written so that you pass it a text file as an argument $ program file.txt Run the program, it looks at the text in file.txt. Is it possible to "trick" this program into accepting input from a file stream rather than reading a file via disk?   I was originally asking for an elegant way to simulate the Array.concat() functionality in IE or older browsers, because it seemed that concat was not supported. Only, of course it is and the reason the object didn't support it is because it wasn't an array. Oops! getElementsByTagName returns a NodeList, not an array. The real question, then, is: what's a good way to get a single list of all the form elements in a document (input, select, textarea, button) to loop through them? An array isn't required... a single NodeList would be perfect, too. Note that I'm using IE6 as this is for a corporate intranet (soon IE8 though).
