    hello i have the following class class AssetTableModel(QtCore.QAbstractTableModel): def init(self,filename=''): super(AssetTableModel,self).init() self.fileName=filename self.dirty = False self.assets = [] self.setHeaderData(0,QtCore.Qt.Horizontal,QtCore.QVariant('moayyad'),QtCore.Qt.EditRole) and i need to change the headers of the columns or the rows ,i used ( self.setHeaderdata()) but its not working ,i have a table that consistes of 2 columns and 2 rows only. is there any other function that changes headers ??. please help thanx in adnvance

  • mySql Delete only removes the data not the entire entry

    Hi all I have this line in my php code $insert = "DELETE FROM allocation_table WHERE job = '$jobnumber' " ; Mysql_query ($insert) ; The problem is it will remove all the values from the the one line in my table but not the entry itself. as you can see in the picture if I delete where job = 315 , it does not delete the line but does delete all the entries Yet in this code that preceeds it (a different table) . it works fine and the whole line is removed $insert = "DELETE FROM event WHERE jobnumber = '$jobnumber' " ; mysql_query ($insert) ;enter code here can anyone offer some advice please ??

  • I have data about deadlocks, but I can't understand why they occur

    I am receiving a lot of deadlocks in my big web application. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2941233/how-to-automatically-re-run-deadlocked-transaction-asp-net-mvc-sql-server Here I wanted to re-run deadlocked transactions, but I was told to get rid of the deadlocks - it's much better, than trying to catch the deadlocks. So I spent the whole day with SQL Profiler, setting the tracing keys etc. And this is what I got. There's a Users table. I have a very high usable page with the following query (it's not the only query, but it's the one that causes troubles) UPDATE Users SET views = views + 1 WHERE ID IN (SELECT AuthorID FROM Articles WHERE ArticleID = @ArticleID) And then there's the following query in ALL pages: User = DB.Users.SingleOrDefault(u => u.Password == password && u.Name == username); That's where I get User from cookies. Very often a deadlock occurs and this second Linq-to-SQL query is chosen as a victim, so it's not run, and users of my site see an error screen. I read a lot about deadlocks... And I don't understand why this is causing a deadlock. So obviously both of this queries run very often. At least once a second. Maybe even more often (300-400 users online). So they can be run at the same time very easily, but why does it cause a deadlock? Please help. Thank you

    Introduction: I want to loop through XML files with flexible categories structure. Problem: I don't know to loop through a theoretical infinte subcategories without having to make x amount of "for each" statements (See coding example in the bottom). How do I dynamically traverse the categories structure?     I have an R script file that executes a second R script via: source("../scripts/second_file.R") That second file has the following lines: myfiles <- list.files(".",pattern = "*.csv") ... rm(myfiles) When I run the master R file I get: > source("../scripts/second_file.R") Error in file.remove(myfiles) : object 'myfiles' not found and the program aborts. I think this has something to do with the environment. I looked at ?rm() pages but less than illuminating. I figure I have to give it a position argument, but not sure which.

  • c++ normalizing data sizes across systems

    I have a struct with three variables: two unsigned ints and an unsigned char. From my understanding, a c++ char is always 1 byte regardless of what operating system it is on. The same can't be said for other datatypes. I am looking for a way to normalize POD's so that when saved into a binary file, the resulting file is readable on any operating system that the code is compiled for. I changed my struct to use a 1-byte alignment by adding #pragma as follows: #pragma pack(push, 1) struct test { int a; } #pragma pack(pop) but that doesn't necessarily mean that int a is exactly 4 bytes on every os, I don't think? Is there a way to ensure that a file saved from my code will always be readable?

    Hello, I have a question related to correct handling of returns of the DAO library I'm writing for one project. This library probably is going to be used by another people and I want to do it correctly. So I would like to know, how I should deal with return statements of the functions of my DAO. Example 1 I have function to getCustomer which should return String. In case query doesn't return any result should I return null, empty string or throw some kind of Exception? Example 2 I have function getCutomerList which return ArrayList. In case query doesn't return any result should I return null, empty ArrayList or throw some Exception? Example 3 Some sql exception was detected, what should I do: throw exception or do try..catch of the block where it can occur? What is the "good" practice or "best" practice to apply in my case? To do this, i have one thread for each place in which i select the tiles and create a thread to download each. Well, the question is how to avoid creating a thread for a tile that already exists in the thread pool. Should not just check if the file exists, since it is possible that the thread for that tile already exists (other place already need that tile) but the file has not been created- Any idea? Thanks

  • How do I format a Uri when binding an Image in Silverlight?

    I haven't been able to find an answer to this. I have a database that has image paths in it ("images/myimage.jpg"). These images exist on my asp.net site which is also where I host the SL. I want to bind these images to my ListBox control so that the image displays. I have read that since I have a string value, "images/myimage.jpg", that I need to convert it to a BitMap image. I have done this: the xaml: <Image Source="{Binding ImageFile, Converter={StaticResource ImageConverter}}"/> the ImageConverter class: public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { try { Uri source= new Uri(value.ToString()); return new BitmapImage(source); } catch(Exception ex) { return new BitmapImage(); } } I get an error when creating the Uri, "The Format of the URI could not be determined". What am I doing wrong? If I create a Uri that looks like this: http://localhost:49723/images/myimage.jpg, it works just fine. Why doesn't just "images/myimage.jpg" work?

  • How to model in J2EE / JEE?

    Let's say, I have decided to go with J(2)EE stack for my enterprise application. Now, for domain modelling (or: for designing the M of MVC), which APIs can I safely assume and use, and which I should stay away from... say, via a layer of abstraction? For example, Should I go ahead and litter my Model with calls to Hibernate/JPA API? Or, should I build an abstraction... a persistence layer of my own to avoid hard-coding against these two specific persistence APIs? Why I ask this: Few years ago, there was this Kodo API which got superseded by Hibernate. If one had designed a persistence layer and coded the rest of the model against this layer (instead of littering the Model with calls to specific vendor API), it would have allowed one to (relatively) easily switch from Kodo to Hibernate to xyz. Is it recommended to make aggressive use of the *QL provided by your persistence vendor in your domain model? I'm not aware of any real-world issues (like performance, scalability, portability, etc) arising out of a heavy use of an HQL-like language. Why I ask this: I would like to avoid, as much as possible, writing custom code when the same could be accomplished via query language that is more portable than SQL. Sorry, but I'm a complete newbie to this area. Where could I find more info on this topic? Many thanks in advance. /HS

    Hi Guys, I'm looking to construct a script that would go through an XML file. Would find specific tags in it, put them in a table and fill the table with specific tags within them. I'm using MySQL 5.1 so loadXML isn't an option and I think that ExtractData() method wont be much use either.. but I don't really know. What would be the best way to go about this?
