• Jqm is not a function

  Hi all, I'm having some trouble with Jquery and JqModal, and I hope you are able to help, since I've been struggling for hours.. Having a single button element with an onclick action running my method "test" (shown below): $('#picture_form').jqm({ajax: '/test.php'}); $('#picture_form').jqmShow(); This will load the ajax content of test.php into my div element picture_form, shown using JqModal as its supposed to! Though when I close this window, and re-clicks the button I'm getting the error: $("#picture_form").jqm is not a function. As a solution I've tried to use the JqModal trigger function, and this leaves me able to open and close the JqModal windows as many times as I want to. Sadly I can only call the 'trigger' using test environment, in my production code I have to open the JqModal window using a function.. Does anyone have a clue why this 'bug' appears when calling the opening when using a function? Thanks in advance

• Problems with testing in app purchases

  I am trying to test my application with in app purchases. I created features, test user, logged out from iTunes on the iPhone and used developer certificate. Load app from XCode in debug mode. When I click "Buy" button I pass all checks for internet availability, canMakePayments and call SKPayment *payment = [SKPayment paymentWithProductIdentifier:featureId]; [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] addPayment:payment]; But all what I see is a pending view and after some minutes it failed in - (void) failedTransaction: (SKPaymentTransaction *)transaction { if (transaction.error.code != SKErrorPaymentCancelled) { NSLog(@"failedTransaction"); } [[MKStoreManager sharedManager] paymentCanceled]; [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction: transaction]; } Please advice in what direction I should go to figure out the problem and what else I should check. • C# Localization - unexpected behaviour

  Hi, I have the following line of code: <%= Html.Label((string) GetLocalResourceObject("Label_Email")) %> This generates a label within an HTML page. In the local resource file I have the following entry: Name: Label_Email Value:Email For some very strange reason when I load the page in the browser, it generates an HTML label with a value of "Email Address" instead of "Email". This is a serious problem for me because I need to localize the application and not have english word "address". When I replace Value in the local resouce file with "Email " (notice extra space), everything works fine, but this is a hack and I need to understand why my application is behaving this way.   Ok, so for an app I am making, I want the user to be able to save data online. On my website, I will provide a web server with tables of UserName/Password/SaveData. How can I do this without crashing the server load? How can I guarantee security ? Is there a Design Pattern for this?Is there a better way of doing this? This is going to be a free application, available to the public and I would like for their settings to be available, no matter the computer they are using. Is there a better way of doing this? I am using MEF for plugins so is there a way I can save plugin data as well?

But, I usually test application using JUnit, So I init the basic configurator in setup method. after that, I test the application, and I can see the log. Because I deployed, the web in websphere. • Problem creating PostGIS template database

  I am trying to build a template geographic database for PostGIS (1.5) on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) for my GeoDjango application. I am following: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/gis/install/#creating-a-spatial-database-template-for-postgis I've managed to come up to the point where the provided postgis.sql should be run (i.e. psql -d template_postgis -f $POSTGIS_SQL_PATH/postgis.sql) At that point I am getting an error at the first SQL statement that is tried to be run. • issue with a xmlns

  Hello, I have an xml file and an xslt file. The xml file has a xmlns="exa:com.test" attribute. If i remove this attribute in the xml the xpath sentences in my xslt works. But if i leave it, doesnt work. Im using the following code to mix xml and xslt: XslCompiledTransform transformer = new XslCompiledTransform(); transformer.Load(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("xslt\\searchresults.xslt")); transformer.Transform(xmlreader, null, utf8stringwriter); What im doing wrong? • My Header over External Content

  I can see this web site is somewhat over my head, but I'm having trouble finding an answer. I want to put my header, with links to other pages, over external content. Here's why: My MLM gives me a replicated web site that they maintain. I want to add links to my blog, contact info, even meta tags to the site. I though I had it done by using an iframe. I have my content at the top, and the MLM site shows up in the iframe. (here is the link www.trivanijoanne.com) The problem is that the iframe doesn't resize when the external content changes, and it is confusing for the user to need to scroll up to see the page. Also, the pdf pages don't load inside the iframe. I looked around online and see that iframes are a thing of the past. What should I be using to accomplish this task?

  In our build scripts, we are using YUI compressor to minify/compress javascript and css files. As this combines the js into one file, it needs to be referenced in the Master Layout script, e.g. First question is what is best way to use both, so that if we are developing (in debug mode) it will reference each js file individually? Second question, is once on production, would there be any steps/solution to debugging the javascript on the production server, i.e. conditionallly load the javascript files based on setting a "debug=true" setting in either js or .net?

• Shark tool on iphone crashes

  Hi, I am trying to use Shark to profile my app. However, it crashes after I hit "stop" and it analyzes and then goes to "load session". Only once when I decided not to select my app but chose to target "everything" did it actually display some trace. However, I could not reproduce this case. Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? Could it be something to do with the wrong version of Shark or my SDK or some other detail? I have the latest SDK and am running 3.1.3 on the phone. The various documentation I've found on google or via Apple's docs don't seem to be terribly helpful, so if anyone has found some that's useful, I'd love to see it. Thanks.

• IE8 Inconsistent Rendering when Reloading

  I am working on fixing a website that doesn't work in the new release of IE8. After a bit I found out that you can force IE8 to render as IE7 with the following meta tag: <!-- Meta tag for IE8 so that it always displays the site in IE7 Compatibility mode --> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" /> I have found that although the page loads fine when you specify this meta-tag; However, when you click or press the refresh button after the initial load of the page, the page renders completely wrong (see bellow): This really seems like an IE8 bug to me, as I've never seen any other browser render inconstantly on a page refresh. As anyone else noticed this? Update! This was cause by having CompanionJS installed in IE8.

  Hi Please give a look at this site. maimei.ch After 5 times opening a new site via ajax (fancybox) it crashes in IE? One little thing is that i load a whole asp.net site via ajax in the new window. so viewstate and other overhead is there twice after. could this be the problem? if yes, why just after 5 times?. is it possible to call just the content of an specific element via ajax? may be just the innerhtml of the body element of the called site? And we take only Apache without any proxifying things like nginx. I am asking because on one forum one guy reported that his Apache works unstable with the number of sites more than 400 on a single machine. • is it possible to do partial postback on web?

  Hi all, I read some paragraphs in a book saying that it is not possible to do a partial postback for web, even AJAX is employed. Ajax will postback everything and update only ajaxfied controls. However, on pages I made using ajax, I used Fiddler to monitor the transportation. I found when the page initial load, it loaded everything include pictures .... However, when I click a button and do a ajax postback. I can only see the some data were loaded.... Looks like it doesn't need to reload the whole page again. I don't know if what I see is correct? Or the book I read is correct? Thank you guys.

• JUnit - stop it from exiting on finish?

  Hi guys, Quick JUnit question. I'm running some unit tests that involve starting up the GUI and doing a load of stuff. I would like to see the results after the test to confirm it visually. However, it gets to the end of the code and exits, as it should. If I want to override this, I put a breakpoint on the last line of the test. This is pretty awkward though. Is there some option to stop it from exiting?

• iphone memory leaks and malloc?

  Okay so im finally to the point where I am testing my iPad App on an actual iPad... One thing that my app does is display a large (2mb) image in a scroll view. This is causing the iPad to get memory warnings. I run the app in the instruments to check for the leak. When I load the image, a leak is detected and i see the following in the allocations: ALl Allocations: 83.9 MB Malloc 48.55 MB: 48.55 MB Malloc 34.63 MB: 34.63 MB What im trying to understand is how to plug the leak obviously, but also why a 2MB image is causing a malloc of 20x that size I am very new to programming in obj-c so im sure this is an obvious thing, but I just cant figure it out. • Deselecting a form input and waiting for a function before submitting

  I have a form with an input field where a user enters a unique identifier. I then have some jQuery code that upon the user moving away from the input field (blur) goes out and fetches details about the part and populates some fields on the page. The problem is if the user clicks the submit button before moving out of the input field the jQuery code never has a chance to load in the data and populate the necessary fields. Whats the best way to go about doing this? I thought about maybe setting the focus to body and then having an infinite loop that keeps checking the page until all fields that should be filled in have been filled in but I feel like some sort of event based solution would be better than unpredictable infinite loops. Any ideas?

  Hi community, I'm interessted, how does Linq2Sql handles a compiled query, that returns IQueryable. If I call an extension method based on a compiled query like "GetEntitiesCompiled().Count()" or "GetEntitiesCompiled().Take(x)". What does Linq2Sql do in the background? This would be very bad, so in this situation I should write a compiled query like "CountEntitiesCompiled". Does he load the result (in this case "GetEntitiesCompiled()") into the memory (mapped to the entity class like "ToList()")? So what situations make sense, when the compiled queries return IQueryable, that query is not able to modify, before request to the Sql-Server. So in my opinion I can just as good return List. • Cocoa Touch - Display an Activity Indicator while loading a UITabBar View

  I have a UITabBar Application with two views that load large amounts of data from the web in their "viewWillAppear" methods. I want to show a progress bar or an activity indicator while this data is being retrieved, to make sure the user knows the app isn't frozen. I am aware that this has been asked before. I simply need some clarification on what seems to be a rather good solution. I have implimented the code in the example. The question's original asker later solved their problem, by putting the retrieval of data into another "thread". I understand the concept of threads, but I do not know how I would impliment this. With research, I have found that I need to move all of my heavy data retrieval into a background thread, as all of the UI updating occurs in the main thread. If one would be so kind as to provide an example for me, I would be very appreciative. I can provide parts of my existing code as necessary.

• UIView animation doesn't work first time

  Hello everybody, I have a seachButton in the navigation bar which upon hitting calls following method: - (IBAction)search:(id)sender { if (nil == searchViewController) searchViewController = [[SearchViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"SearchViewController" bundle:nil]; searchViewController.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0]; [UIView setAnimationTransition:UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlDown forView:searchViewController.view cache:NO]; [self.view addSubview:searchViewController.view]; [UIView commitAnimations]; } It should load SearchViewController.xib which contains a view with UISearchBar and two buttons. When I call the search method for the first time, the view appears very quickly with some weird animation, when I call it again, the animation is alright. Does anyone have a clue what could be wrong?

• Unable to set relative path for flash file in ASP.NET MVC using AC_FL_RunContent

  Hi, I have a website using asp.net mvc in which I need to embed a flash file in view. I am unable to set the relative path for the flash file. Given below is the code I am using: AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase', 'http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0', 'width', '487', 'height', '359', 'menu', 'false', 'movie', 'images/butterfly', 'quality', 'high', 'allowscriptaccess', 'sameDomain', 'pluginspage', 'http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' ); where I copied butterfly.swf in a directory called images. images directory resides in the views folder. If I use code behind( default.aspx default.aspx.cs) in a different solution with the same folder strucuture, browser is able to load the flash file. Could you please throw some light on the MVC folder structure issue?? Thanks a lot. Mahesh

I have written the following VB code in my Page_Load: Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim dtSelParts As DataTable = New DataTable("dtSelParts") Dim column As DataColumn = New DataColumn column.ColumnName = "PartName" column.ColumnName = "PartNumber" column.ColumnName = "Quantity" dtSelParts.Columns.Add(column) For Each row As GridViewRow In MySearch.Rows Dim drSelParts As DataRow drSelParts = dtSelParts.NewRow() For i As Integer = 0 To row.Cells.Count - 1 drSelParts(i) = row.Cells(i).Text Next Next End Sub When I run the partsearch.aspx page, I enter values in the row textbox for parts I want included in the listbox (to be included in quote). However, I receive the error message System.Index.OutOfRangeException: Cannot find column 1 which occurs on the line drSelParts(i) = row.Cells(i).Text.
