• Why does LogonUser place user profiles in c:\users of the server?

  We have developed a ASP.NET web application and has implemented a custom authentication solution using active directory as the credentials store. Our front end application uses a normal login form to capture the user name and password and leverages the Win32 LogonUser method to authenticate the user’s credentials. When we are calling the LogonUser method, we are using the LOGON32_LOGON_NETWORK as the logon type. The issue we have found is that user profile folders are being created under the C:\Users folder of the web server. The folder seems to be created when a new user who has never logged on before is logging in for the first time. As the number of new users logging into the application grows, disk space is shrinking due to the large number of new user folders getting created. Has anyone seen this behavior with the Win32 LogonUser method? Does anyone know how to disable this behavior? I have tried LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH but it was giving an error 1385 in authentication user. I need either of the solution 1) Is there any way to stop the folder generation. 2) What parameter I need to pass this to work? Thanks

• Same function on multiple div classes doesn't work

  I'm doing something terribly wrong and just can't find the solution for it. Situation: I've got a number of products with a number of quotes per product. Those quote automatically scroll in a div. If the scroll reaches the last quote is scroll back to the first one. What works: The function basically works when it's applied on 1 div, but when applied on multiple div it doesn't scroll back to the first one or keeps scrolling endlessly. • MySql: Is it reasonable to use 'view' or I would better denormalize my DB?

  There is 'team_sector' table with following fields: Id, team_id, sect_id, size, level It contains few records for each 'team' entity (referenced with 'team_id' field). Each record represent sector of team's stadium (totally 8 sectors). Now it is necessary to implement few searches: by overall stadium size (SUM(size)); the best quality (SUM(level)/COUNT(*)). I could create query something like this: SELECT TS.team_id, SUM(TS.size) as OverallSize, SUM(TS.Level)/COUNT(TS.Id) AS QualityLevel FROM team_sector GROUP BY team_id ORDER BY OverallSize DESC / ORDER BY QualityLevel DESC But my concern here is that calculation for each team will be done each time on query performed. It is not too big overhead (at least now), but I would like to avoid performance issues later. I see 2 options here. The 1st one is to create 2 additional fields in 'team' table (for example) and store there OverallSize and QualityLevel fields. If information if 'sector' table is changed - update those table too (probably would be good to do that with triggers, as sector table doesn't change too often). The 2nd option is to create a view that will provide required data. The 2nd option seems much easier for me, but I don't have a lot of experience/knowledge of work with views. Q1: What is the best option from your perspective here and why? Probably you could suggest other options? Q2: Can I create view in such way that it will do calculations rarely (at least once per day)? If yes - how? Q3: Is it reasonable to use triggers for such purpose (1st option). P.S. MySql 5.1 is used, overall number of teams is around 1-2 thousand, overall number of records in sector table - overall 6-8 thousand. I understand, those numbers are pretty small, but I would like to implement the best practice here.

• method works fine, until it is called in a function, then UnboundLocalError

  I define a method called dist, to calculate the distance between two points which I does it correctly when directly using the method. However, when I get a function to call it to calculate the distance between two points, I get UnboundLocalError: local variable 'minkowski_distance' referenced before assignment edit sorry, I just realised, this function does work. • Struct containing a Map in a Map? (C++/STL)

  I was wondering if it was possible to create a struct containing a number of variables and a map in a map. What I have at the moment: typedef std::map<std::string,double> lawVariables; struct ObjectCustomData { std::string objectType; bool global_lock; std::map<std::string, lawVariables> lawData; }; This struct is then passed on to another function as a single data block for that object. The structure setup is as follows: Each object has a data block that contains: its ObjectType, a bool for a lock, and a varying number of "laws" that could look like this: law1 -> var_a = 39.3; -> var_g = 8.1; law8 -> var_r = 83.1; -> var_y = 913.3; -> var_a = 9.81; Firstly, I'm unsure whether I should be using a Map within a Map and secondly even if this would be valid, I'm unsure how to fill it with data and how to recall it afterwards. I looked at maps because then I can search (on a name) if a certain object has a certain law, and if that law has certain variables. (sorry for the first messy post appearance, hope this is better :) )

• Shell halts while looping and 'transforming' values in dictionary (Python 2.7.5)

  I'm building a program that will sum digits in a given list in a recursive way. Say, if the source list has 10 elements, the second list will have 9, the third 8 and so on until the last list that will have only one element. This is done by adding the first element to the second, then the second to the third and so on. I'm stuck without feedback from the shell. It halts without throwing any errors, then in a couple of seconds the fan is spinning like crazy. I've read quite a few posts here and changed my approach, but I'm not sure that what have so far can produce the results I'm looking for.   Hi, I'm having a bit of a strange problem with an application using the Files.probeContentType(path)-method to test for file type: On both my Ubuntu and Fedora systems, it works fine, but when moved to a RedHat Enterprise server (2.6.18-194.el5 #1 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux), it only returns null. I'm using java 7 early access (1.7.0-ea-b84). I have to use this version due to functionality that isn't included in 1.6. Does anyone have an idea of what might be the problem here?

• In Perl, how to match several prefixes

  I have 2 input files. One is a list of prefix and lengths, like this: 101xxx 102xxx 30xx 31xx (where x is any number) And another is a list of numbers. I want to iterate through the second file, matching each number against any of the prefix/lengths. This is fairly easy. I build a list of regexps: my @regexps = ('101...', '102...', '30..', '31..'); Then: foreach my $regexp (@regexps) { if (/$regexp/) { # do something But, as you can guess, this is slow for a long list. I could convert this to a single regexp: my $super_regexp = '101...|102...|30..|31..'; ...but, what I need is to know which regexp matched the item, and what the ..s matched. I tried this: my $catching_regexp = '(101)(...)|(102)(...)|(30)(..)|(31)(..)'; but then I don't know whether to look in $1, $3, %5 or $7. Any ideas? How can I match against any of these prefix/lengths and know which prefix, and what the remaining digits where?

• How to create a datastore.Text object out of an array of dynamically created Strings?

  I am creating a Google App Engine server for a project where I receive a large quantity of data via an HTTP POST request. The data is separated into lines, with 200 characters per line. The number of lines can go into the hundreds, so 10's of thousands of characters total. What I want to do is concatenate all of those lines into a single Text object, since Strings have a maximum length of 500 characters but the Text object can be as large as 1MB. Here is what I thought of so far: public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp) { ... Is there a way for me to iterate through the String indexes within the Text constructor? I can't seem to find anything on that. Of note is that the Text object can't be modified after being created, and it must have a String as parameter for the constructor. (Documentation here) Is there any way to this? When I try and assign the value ZERO to both 'bSize' and 'msgs', it doesn't work as it errors out when i get to malloc. In the printf statement it prints a -1852803823 number. There are a variety of tools available to help you and Support diagnose SOA Suite issues in 11g but it can be confusing as to which tool is appropriate for a particular situation and what their relationships are. This blog post will introduce the various tools and attempt to clarify what each is for and how they are related. Let's first list the tools we'll be addressing: RDA: Remote Diagnostic Agent DFW: Diagnostic Framework Selective Tracing DMS: Dynamic Monitoring Service ODL: Oracle Diagnostic Logging ADR: Automatic Diagnostics Repository ADRCI: Automatic Diagnostics Repository Command Interpreter WLDF: WebLogic Diagnostic Framework This overview is not mean to be a comprehensive guide on using all of these tools, however, extensive reference materials are included that will provide many more details on their execution. Another point to note is that all of these tools are applicable for Fusion Middleware as a whole but specific products may or may not have implemented features to leverage them. A couple of the tools have a WebLogic Scripting Tool or 'WLST' interface. WLST is a command interface for executing pre-built functions and custom scripts against a domain.
