• Memory Allocation Error in MySQL

  I am using MySql ODBC driver with .Net 3.5. I have created a stored procedure in MySQl which accepts around 15 parameters with types like datetime, varchar, Int32, Int64 etc.. When I run the SP from the query window with the arguments provided, it runs fine. But whwn I test using the .Net application, it gives exception with "Memory allocation error", MySQL native error code is 4001. Any help will be much appreciated.

  I have the field receiptno, which is a varchar holding a numeric value, and want to sort this. Sorting as a string gives me the wrong ordering. I'd like to try sorting it as an integer. Is there anyway to converting to integer in the order by clause so I can sort by integer in the query itself.

  Is there still an injection risk when using prepared statements and mysqli_stmt_bind_param? For example: $malicious_input = 'bob"; drop table users'; mysqli_stmt_bind_param($stmt, 's', $malicious_input); Behind the scenes does mysqli_stmt_bind_param pass this query string to mysql: SET @username = "bob"; drop table users"; Or does it perform the SET command through the API, or use some type of protection to keep this from happening?

  Hi. how can I have a field with variable type in my class? I use hibernate annotation for mapping to DB. I tried to use java.io.Serializable as field's type, but it mapped to database as a 01 amount which is true if I get it's object and cast it to it's true type. but I need to run a query on this objects that needs true amount of field.(right now I can't compare an integer field with a number) Does anyone have any idea how can I do this? Now when I run a Mysql query like this: SELECT id FROM table WHERE username = 'blah' LIMIT 1 Does that primary key index even help? If I am telling it to match usernames, then shouldn't the username column be indexed instead? Thanks for your time

  I've the same problem as described here In the generated SQL Informix expects catalog:schema.table but what's actually generated is catalog.schema.table which leads to a syntax error. Setting: hibernate.default_catalog= hibernate.default_schema= had no effect. I even removed schema and catalog from the table annotation, this caused a different issues : the query looked like that ..table same for setting catalog and schema to an empty string.
