  • Google Visualization API - Line and Scatter on one Chart.

    Does any one know if it is possible to use the Default Google Scatter Chart in the Google Visualizations Gallery to draw a scatter chart that has both a series with points only, a series with a line of best fit and on top of this a set of lines across the chart indicating limits. i.e. at +/- 20% etc. The chart we need is actually a Control Chart with multiple series and individual formatting of each series displayed on the chart. i.e some series with only points other series with a line of best fit. Does any one know of a Control Chart that has already been done using the Google Visualization API?

  • Jquery getJSON cross domain problems

    I cant seem to get my JSON file to work when pulling it in from another domain using JQuerys getJSON. I have placed the callback part at the end of the url but still have no joy. Firebug tells me its a cross domain issue, which seems to make sense as if I place the json file locally the below code (excluding the ?jsoncallback=? works fine) Heres the Jquery part   • Image Gallery with JQuery Lightbox

    Hi there, I've used the JQuery lightbox on a couple of websites, by having a gallery of thumbnails and the thumbnails as links to the bigger photos, such as: <a href="Images/Gallery/1.jpg" class="lightbox"> <img src="Images/Gallery/Thumbnails/1T.jpg" width="136" height="97" /> </a> My question is, using lightbox - can I make it so that I have a thumbnail image that when clicked takes you to a folder with a few pictures to cycle through, rather than just linking to one photo like in the example above? I've tried with one link like above and in the Gallery folder having more than one image, but I don't get any navigation buttons, just the one image that is linked to.

  • Photoshop CS5 not recognising activeDocument

    I wrote a quite big script for Photoshop CS5.1 on my 64bit Vista machine. Now when I run the very same script on my new 64bit Windows 7 machine, Adobe ExtendScript Tool complains about activeDocument (no such element) in this simple script: #target photoshop var pDoc = app.activeDocument; alert("Done!"); I have tried both and without #target and choosing the target in the ExtendedScript Tool. Is there something I have missed, or do I need to install something more. I only installed the 64bit version of Photoshop. Is it so that the 32bit Photoshop has the script extensions? I don't see why I need to install both 32bit and 64bit versions if I'm only going to use the 64bit version. EDIT I installed the 32bit version as well. Tried the same script against 32 and 64 bit, still no difference. SOLVED The mystery is solved. It is embarrassing simple if you interpret the error message more careful. Of course I can't get an activeDocument if there are no documents in Photoshop, duh!?! I interpreted it as the statement activeDocument wasn't recognised, but of course if I have no document there is no such element (as a photoshop document) to give me. I'm used to C++ and would expect the reuslt to be a NULL value or similar if there is a problem to get the document... excuses, excuses ;) Well, if someone else should get into the same problem, here is the answer on my expense :D

    hi guys, I'm trying to use jquery Full Calendar from http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar I searched the docs alot but I could not find how I can retrieve the current month a user is on at a certain moment. On render it is set as the current month in the title, but I cant find a way to use that info. I want to sent the month to my ajax call together with other params (start, end, _) but I dont know how please help me out with this. inside the fullcalendar definition, how to retrieve the month currently displayed.   • Automatic multi-page multi-column flowing text with QtWebkit (HTML/CSS/JS -> PDF)

    I have some HTML documents that are converted to PDF, using software that renders using QtWebkit (not sure which version). Currently, the documents have specific tags to split into columns and pages - so whenever the wording changes, it is a manual time-consuming process to move these tags so that the columns and pages fit. Can anyone provide a way to have text auto-wrapped into the next column/page (as appropriate) when it reaches the bottom of the current container? Any HTML, CSS or JS supported by QtWebkit is ok (assuming it works in the PDF converter). (I have tested the webkit-column-* in CSS3 and it appears QtWebkit does not support this.) To make things more exciting, it also needs to: - put a header at the top of each page, with page X of Y numbering; - if an odd number of pages, add a blank page at the end (with no header); - have the ability to say "don't break inside this block" or "don't break after this header" I have put some quick example initial markup and target markup to help explain what I'm trying to do. (The actual documents are far more complicated than that, but I need a simple proof-of-concept before I attack the real ones.) Any suggestions? Update: I've got a partially working solution using Aaron's "filling up" suggestion - I'll post more details in a bit.

  • SWFUpload is it possible to upload multiple files to a single php script execution

    Hello, I'm trying to implement SWFUpload into an existing PHP upload funcitonality. My current backend script however expects 2 fiels to be uploaded in a single php script execution. (e.g. it excepts the $_FILES parameters to contain 2 entries). So i'm queueing 2 files with SWFUpload and start uploading them. However it appears SWFLUpload calls the php backend script for each queued file. I'd rather modify SWFUpload to send the files with a single backend script execution instead on having to adjust the backend script. Is anyone familiar with this? I've searched various resources (like the SWFUploads docs and forum, but have not found similiar topics. Thanks in advance

For example: I have code like this: <ul id="products"> ............... </ul> When I click on a button the ajax call is made to codeginter controller where I recieve the new data pulled from the database and rendered in another view which starts from ul and ends at closing ul.   • Issue with Facebook JS API, revokeAuthorization

    I am trying to integrate FB connect into our user profile screen. Although, I'm having an issue with FB.ApiClient.revokeAuthorization. http://pastie.org/921942 The basic problem is that I revoke the auth at line 44 after the user clicks the disconnect button. After that, all subsequent API calls don't have a valid session to even check user status. I've tried wrapping blocks in a FB.Connect.forceSessionRefresh block, but then the code will never be called at all. I'm not sure what the proper workflow should be for this purpose. Right now it's basically... User arrives at profile NOT connected to the application. User clicks on the connect button. Once connected, DOM manipulation occurs to hide the connect button and add in a disconnect button. User clicks on the disconnect button. User's authorization to the application is revoked and (it seems) the API session to the FB server is invalidated. DOM manipulation occurs to hide the disconnect button and readd the connect button. User clicks on the connect button. Once connected, the FB.Connect.get_loggedInUser() don't return the actual user.

  • Plugin or module for filtering/sorting a large amount of data?

    I have a rather large amount of data (100 MB or so), that I would like to present to a user. The format of the data is similar to the following... Date              Location      Log File          Link 03/21/2010   San Diego   some_log.txt   http://somelink.com etc My problem is that I would like to have some nice/slick way for the user to filter the information. Unfortunately, because there is so much of it, the jQuery Table Filter plugin does not work (crashes the browser). I was wondering if there is a nice solution or if I have to simply do the filtering on the server end and have a bland pull-down menu / select-box interface for the client to use.

    We are getting a weird issue on which we are not sure what exactly cause it. Let me elaborate the issue. Suppose, we have two different html pages a.html and b.html. The problem is the content of both files are successfully updating on the server side. If we open we can see the updated changes but client getting the older content which doesn't show the updated changes. Any idea?

    Hi, I want to find out the zoom level of what is being displayed in a browser window based on the javascripts' window object properties (http://www.javascriptkit.com/jsref/window.shtml) to which I have access. I just can't seem to find the right mathematical formula for the zoom based on the inner width, page offset, etc. I found a solution, but that uses the document.body.getBoundingClientRect call which does not return anything in my case and for which I can't tell if there's a suitable replacement from the window properties.   • Script files returning 404 Error.

    Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:

I am trying to update all <span id="column_[some number]"> to increment it by one after the next id="row_" tr element, but for some god knows what reason, it gives me issues.   • Web Workers - Transferable Objects for JSON

    HTML 5 Web workers are very slow when using worker.postMessage on a large JSON object. I'm trying to figure out how to transfer a JSON Object to a web worker - using the 'Transferable Objects' types in Chrome, in order to increase the speed of this.
