• Ubuntu 12.10 installation Problem in Wubi

  I'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 on drive "I:\" along my Windows 7 with Wubi. • WIFI card intel r 2200 will not work

  I have installed 12.04 on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro. Wifi card does not work. Have tried various threads but none have the same problem. • Can't install Ubuntu in a HP DV6 Laptop

  I just bought an HP DV6 6011tx (link) Laptop... I formated the disk through Windows and prepared for installing Ubuntu... When I insert the live CD, it shows the ubuntu start screen and then everything goes black (no cursor... Just like the screen is switched off (but the system is working)) When i try to install from the USB, it says Live media is not found! Some times it also give a black screen like the CD... Have any idea how to fix this? Thanks

• Is it a good idea to simplify an character -driven game engine to the point it's unnecessary to learn scripting/programming ?

  I remember, and I still think, that one cannot even make a prototyped 3D game to test just simple behaviors without using gigantic tools like unity or knowing extensive C++ programming, design pattern, a decent or basic 3D engine, etc. Now I'm wondering, since I know programming, that I'm still more lucky that the ones who need to learn programming prior to know how to make something: even scripted engines such as unity are not for kids, and to my sense they tend to dictate their ways of doing things, which is not the case with engine like ogre or irrlicht. I remember toying a little with the blender game engine, it was possible to link states or something I don't remember very well. Now I'm thinking that character driven games occupies a big part of the game market. Do you think it is a good idea to make a character-controlled oriented game engine which allows only to build AI instead of anything else ?

• RTF template migration in BIP

  When you are creating BI template through application the RTF template information will stored in XDO_LOBS table.Column LOB_CODE will store the template short code,ie the link between the template and lob. When you migrate the template through java oracle.apps.xdo.oa.util.XDOLoader make sure the rtf file name and template short code are same.Otherwise the rtf will not get attached. Eg:  Source Instance Template Short Code : XXCUST_TEMPLATE RTF Name: XXCUST_TEMPLATE_1.rtf When you migrate the above details through  XDOLoader the rtf will not get attached to template in destination instance.So make sure RTF Name should be XXCUST_TEMPLATE.

• FFmpeg & Installation on phpmyadmin

  I am attempting to have an interface in which people can upload music files and listen to them through the site. The biggest problem obviously is that someone who uploads an audio track in mp3 format into Mozilla wouldn't be able to play it back (since MF doesn't support mp3 playback since I'm using jPlayer). I did some research and found out that I could use command line php using FFmpeg to convert the mp3 to ogg or some other supportable format. I believe I understand (a little bit) how command line php works but I was wondering how I could install it onto phpmyadmin on my hosting service? Could anyone link me to a tutorial or care to explain? I tried googling it but I just couldn't find it.

There are two links provided in the below question that are both fine,'except for one minor problem - I only know java! Is there an open source sports manager project? After some googling, I have been unsuccessful in finding a sports management game that is written in java. • PHPForm Data Generate PDF & Send to Email?

  I'm a beginner in PHP I was wondering if this is easy to do or if i'd have to outsource this to a programmer - Basically when a user fills in the PHP Form and submits it I need this to generate as a PDF (with all the labels etc) which will then email/attach to MY email and NOT the user who submitted this form. I have looked at tcpdf, fpdi but i dont think any of those scripts allow me to do this specifically as from what i heard it generates a download link for the user, and that is not what i need. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Regards Tom

However there is no longer a link that says "Crawl my site". So as of now, does anyone know how to get site indexed by alexa so that my traffic rank will display on alexa index?

• How can I generate signed distance fields (2D) in real time, fast?

  In a previous question, it was suggested that signed distance fields can be precomputed, loaded at runtime and then used from there. For reasons I will explain at the end of this question (for people interested), I need to create the distance fields in real time. There are some papers out there for different methods which are supposed to be viable in real-time environments, such as methods for Chamfer distance transforms and Voronoi diagram-approximation based transforms (as suggested in this presentation by the Pixeljunk Shooter dev guy), but I (and thus can be assumed a lot of other people) have a very hard time actually putting them to use, since they're usually long, largely bloated with math and not very algorithmic in their explanation. What algorithm would you suggest for creating the distance fields in real-time (favourably on the GPU) especially considering the resulting quality of the distance fields? Since I'm looking for an actual explanation/tutorial as opposed to a link to just another paper or slide, this question will receive a bounty once it's eligible for one :-). • Synonyms for different languages in LibreOffice Writer? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: How do I add English-UK thesaurus in LibreOffice? When setting a text for English US the context menu contains 'Synonyms' This is not the case for the other languages for which I have the spelling installed (English UK, French etc) Can I have the Synonyms option for UK English too, for example? Even that is a problem although there seems to be solutions around for it. Here, for example, (which is a link to here) but after testing it cannot see synonyms for uk. Also this which was reported as a solution is not working anymore it seems. What about other languages? (Please notice that this question is not just about English-UK. I have initially noticed that 'synonyms' where missing in relation to British, but I am asking about how to solve the issue in general or, when there is no general solution, how to solve it on a case-by-case basis. • How to add a shortcut for Humble Bundle games in Unity?

  I downloaded some games from the humblebundle, but most of them don't have deb files. They run fine after extracting them and double clicking on the executable, but unity doesn't automatically find them so I can't search for them, or add them to the side bar. I tried to drag the executable onto the side bar, but it just dimmed and didn't do anything once I dropped it. I also tried to right-click on the executable in and clicked on "Make Link", but I couldn't drop that onto the side bar either. I would prefer a solution that does not require using the terminal or editing configuration files by hand if possible.
