• Is there any reasonable way to migrate from subversion to cvs?

  My company unwittingly switched from cvs to subversion and now we're all wishing we had cvs back. I know there's tools to migrate history and changes from cvs to svn and there's no equivalent to do the reverse. Any suggestions or ideas on how to do this?

(What does "30792" means? ) Are there editors that auto-generate these "$Id"s? Are there any tools that use this information?

• Does a Distributed Version Control System really have no centralised repository?

  It might seem a silly question, but how do you get a working drectory set up without a server to check out from? And how does a business keep a safe backed up copy of the repo? I assume then there must be a central repo... but then how exactly is it 'distributed'? I always thought of a server-client (SVN) Vs peer-2-peer (GIT) distinction, but I don't believe that can be correct unless tools like GIT are dependent on torrent-style technology?

The problem I have, is that I have not been able to find a decent replacement for Fiddler2 that will run on linux. • SQL Server 2008 2mb Limit for XML??

  I am trying to output a long XML result from SMSS. When I right click on the results and 'save results as...', I can only get a 2mb file? I have changed the settings in SMSS via Tools - Options - Query Results - SQL Server - Results to Grid, for XML data to be unlimited. Forever, it still seems to be truncating my XML results?
