  • How do I control the direction of the scroll on my coda slider?

    - by lightingwrist
    Hello, I have a coda slider and am unable to determine the direction of the scroll. I have 3 panels that I want to scroll left to right. Sometimes it scrolls left to right, sometimes up and down, and sometimes horizontally. How do I lock it down to go the direction I want? Here is the HTML: <body> <div id="slider_home" class="round_10px"> <ul class="navigation_home"> <li><a href="#scroll_Parents" class="round_10px">Information For Parents</a></li> <li><a href="#scroll_Materials" class="round_10px">Print Materials</a></li> <li><a href="#scroll_Resources" class="round_10px">Online Resources</a></li> </ul> <div id="scroll_bg_home"> <div class="scroll_home"> <div class="scrollContainer_home"> <div class="panel_home" id="scroll_Parents"> content </div> <div class="panel_home" id="scroll_Materials"> content </div> <div class="panel_home" id="scroll_Resources"> content </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </body> Here is the CSS: #wrapper {width:550px;margin:0px auto;} #intro {padding-bottom:10px;} h2 {margin:0;margin-bottom:14px;padding:0;} #slider {width:631px;margin:10px auto 0px auto;position:relative;} #scroll_bg{height:360px;width:590px;overflow:hidden;position:relative;clear:left;background:#FFFFFF url(images/) no-repeat; margin:0px auto 0px auto} .scroll{ background:transparent; width:550px; height:370px; padding:0px; margin:0px auto; overflow:hidden; } .scrollContainer div.panel {padding:20px 0px;height:330px; width:550px;margin:0px;float:left;} #shade {background:#EDEDEC url(images/shade.jpg) no-repeat 0 0;height:50px;} ul.navigation {list-style:none;margin:0px 0px 0px 23px;padding:0px;padding-bottom:0px;} ul.navigation li {display:inline; margin-right:5px;} ul.navigation li a { background:#FFFFFF;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; font-weight:bold; color:#CCCCCC;padding:5px 5px 5px 5px;border:1px #F4F4F4 solid;text-decoration: none;} ul.navigation a:hover { color:#EDEDEC;border:1px #E6E6E6 solid;} ul.navigation a.selected {color:#333333;} ul.navigation a:focus {outline:none;} .scrollButtons {position:absolute;top:150px;cursor:pointer;} .scrollButtons.left {left:-37px;top:20px} .scrollButtons.right {right:-32px;top:20px;} .hide {display:none;} And here is the Jquery includes file: // when the DOM is ready... $(document).ready(function () { var $panels = $('#slider_home .scrollContainer_home > div.panel_home'); var $container = $('#slider_home .scrollContainer_home'); // if true, we'll float all the panels left and fix the width // of the container var horizontal = true; // float the panels left if we're going horizontal if (horizontal) { $panels.css({ 'float' : 'left', 'position' : 'relative' // IE fix to ensure overflow is hidden }); // calculate a new width for the container (so it holds all panels) $container.css('width', $panels[0].offsetWidth * $panels.length); } // collect the scroll object, at the same time apply the hidden overflow // to remove the default scrollbars that will appear var $scroll_bg = $('#scroll_bg_home'); var $scroll = $('#slider_home .scroll_home').css('overflow', 'hidden'); // apply our left + right buttons $scroll_bg .before('<img class="scrollButtons_home left" src="styles/images/BackFlip.jpg" />') .after('<img class="scrollButtons_home right" src="styles/images/flipForward.jpg" />'); // handle nav selection function selectNav() { $(this) .parents('ul:first') .find('a') .removeClass('selected') .end() .end() .addClass('selected'); } $('.navigation_home').find('a').click(selectNav); // go find the navigation link that has this target and select the nav function trigger(data) { var el = $('.navigation_home').find('a[href$="' + data.id + '"]').get(0); selectNav.call(el); } if (window.location.hash) { trigger({ id : window.location.hash.substr(1) }); } else { $('.navigation_home a:first').click(); } // offset is used to move to *exactly* the right place, since I'm using // padding on my example, I need to subtract the amount of padding to // the offset.   • Getting warning about sensitive information that could be disclosed to 3rd parties - Asp.net MVC 2.0

    - by chobo2
Hi I never gotten this message before I started to use asp.net mvc 2.0 and jquery 1.4. <title>This request has been blocked because sensitive information could be disclosed to third party web sites when this is used in a GET request. To allow GET requests, set JsonRequestBehavior to AllowGet.</title> <span><H1>Server Error in '/' Application.<hr width=100% size=1 color=silver></H1> <h2> <i>This request has been blocked because sensitive information could be disclosed to third party web sites when this is used in a GET request. To allow GET requests, set JsonRequestBehavior to AllowGet.</i> </h2></span> <font face="Arial, Helvetica, Geneva, SunSans-Regular, sans-serif "> <b> Description: </b>An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. <br><br> <b> Exception Details: </b>System.InvalidOperationException: This request has been blocked because sensitive information could be disclosed to third party web sites when this is used in a GET request. To allow GET requests, set JsonRequestBehavior to AllowGet.<br><br> So it makes me wondering what sensitive data could be disclosed and if so how to get around this? What I was trying to send back was a rendered string of a partial view(http://www.klopfenstein.net/lorenz.aspx/render-partial-view-to-string-in-asp-net-mvc) and a success msg.

  • [ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)]

    - by gnomixa
In ASP.net web service if the above isn't specified , what is the response format by default? Also, if my web service below: [WebMethod()] public List<Sample> GenerateSamples(string[][] data) { ResultsFactory f = new ResultsFactory(data); List<Sample> samples = f.GenerateSamples(); return samples; } returns the list of objects, If I change the response format to JSON, I have to change the return type to string, then how do I access objects in my javascript? Currently I call this web service in my JS such as: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://localhost/TemplateWebService/Service.asmx/GenerateSamples", data: jsonText, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(response) { var samples = (typeof response.d) == 'string' ? eval('(' + response.d + ')') : response.d; if (samples.length > 0) { doSomethingHere(samples); } else { alert("No samples have been generated"); } }, error: function(xhr, status, error) { var msg = JSON.parse(xhr.responseText); alert(msg.Message); } }); What i noticed though, even though everything works perfectly fine, the eval statement never gets executed, which means that the web service always returns a string! So my question is, is [ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)] necessary on the web service definition side? The way things are now, I can use samples array and access each object and its properties as I normally would in any OOP code, which is very convenient, and everything works no problem, but I just wanted to make sure that I am not missing anything in my set up. I took the basics of combining Jquery's ajax with asp.net from Encosia side, and the response type wasn't mentioned there - I read it on another site and am I not sure how vital it is.

  • Limiting Number of Characters in a ContentEditable div

    - by Bill Dami
Hi guys, I am using contenteditable div elements in my web application and I am trying to come up with a solution to limit the amount of characters allowed in the area, and once the limit is hit, attempting to enter characters simply does nothing. This is what I have so far: var content_id = 'editable_div'; //binding keyup/down events on the contenteditable div $('#'+content_id).keyup(function(){ check_charcount(content_id, max); }); $('#'+content_id).keydown(function(){ check_charcount(content_id, max); }); function check_charcount(content_id, max) { if($('#'+content_id).text().length > max) { $('#'+content_id).text($('#'+content_id).text().substring(0, max)); } } This DOES limit the number of characters to the number specified by 'max', however once the area's text is set by the jquery .text() function the cursor resets itself to the beginning of the area. So if the user keeps on typing, the newly entered characters will be inserted at the beginning of the text and the last character of the text will be removed. So really, I just need some way to keep the cursor at the end of the contenteditable area's text.

  • CSS window height problem with dynamic loaded css

    - by Michael Mao
Hi all: Please go here and use username "admin" and password "endlesscomic" (without wrapper quotes) to see the web app demo. Basically what I am trying to do is to incrementally integrate my work to this web app, say, every nightly, for the client to check the progress. Also, he would like to see, at the very beginning, a mockup about the page layout. I am trying to use the 960 grid system to achieve this. So far, so good. Except one issue that when the "mockup.css" is loaded dynamically by jQuery, it "extends" the window to the bottom, something I do not wanna have... As an inexperienced web developer, I don't know which part is wrong. Below is my js: /* master.js */ $(document).ready(function() { $('#addDebugCss').click(function() { alertMessage('adding debug css...'); addCssToHead('./css/debug.css'); $('.grid-insider').css('opacity','0.5');//reset mockup background transparcy }); $('#addMockupCss').click(function() { alertMessage('adding mockup css...'); addCssToHead('./css/mockup.css'); $('.grid-insider').css('opacity','1');//set semi-background transparcy for mockup }); $('#resetCss').click(function() { alertMessage('rolling back to normal'); rollbackCss(new Array("./css/mockup.css", "./css/debug.css")); }); }); function alertMessage(msg) //TODO find a better modal prompt { alert(msg); } function addCssToHead(path_to_css) { $('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="' + path_to_css + '" />').appendTo("head"); } function rollbackCss(set) { for(var i in set) { $('link[href="'+ set[i]+ '"]').remove(); } } Something should be added to the exteral mockup.css? Or something to change in my master.js? Thanks for any hints/suggestions in advance.

  • jqtouch / google maps api v3 issue

    - by Rigo Vides
Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time triying to make jQtouch and Google Maps api V3 together. I've tried almost everything. It seems that the only source of information is here I checked every single post. I'm starting with jQuery and css... so there's a lot of stuff I don't understand. First of all, I'm using jQtouch framework to build a web app with google maps integration, the problem is that whenever I pan the map, strange flickering occurs. It's like jQtouch and the map are trying to fight for a callback. I'm using the latest revision out there. And have several bugs, regarding transition/animation functionality (since I don't wrap the map and all the element's divs within the #jqt wrapper) and css issues with some styling. Anyone has successfully achieve a functional setup build for this scenario? (google maps api v3 & jqtouch), I think is not necessary to paste you some code (But if you think is necessary please let me know and I'll do it), If you paste me a minimal example with a map (detailing jqtouch version, and modification to the styles/.js files), and some transition back and forth from the map to another div/section/page, you'll get the bounty. Thanks a lot in advance. And please, let me know if this is kind of 'legal' here, I mean, there's too loose information on the official wiki, and like 13 'solutions' but nothing concrete... I'm just triying to help anyone who step on in this problem in the future.

  • JQGrid: Dropdown for selecting items from a foreign table - DataValueField vs DataTextField

    - by Herb Caudill
Suppose Items and ItemTypes have numeric primary keys ItemID and ItemTypeID. Each Item is assigned an ItemType. I have a JQGrid to edit Items. When not in edit mode, I would like to see the name of the ItemType, not the ItemTypeID: TYPE | TITLE -----------+-------------------- Category A | Item 1 Category A | Item 2 Category B | Item 3 Category B | Item 4 In edit mode, I want to see a dropdown that displays the ItemType text, but that returns the ItemTypeID to the server. Here's what I have so far (using the ASP.NET wrapper for JQGrid): <trirand:jqgrid id="Grid1" runat="server" ... > <columns> <trirand:jqgridcolumn datafield="ItemID" editable="false" visible="false" width="50" primarykey="true" /> <trirand:jqgridcolumn datafield="ItemTypeID" editable="true" edittype="DropDown" editorcontrolid="ItemTypes" /> <trirand:jqgridcolumn datafield="Title" editable="true" sortable="true" /> ... </columns> </trirand:jqgrid> <asp:sqldatasource runat="server" id="ItemTypesDatasource" connectionstring="<%$ ConnectionStrings:Main %>" selectcommand="Select ItemTypeID,Title from ItemTypes order by Title" /> <asp:dropdownlist runat="server" id="ItemTypes" datasourceid="ItemTypesDatasource" datavaluefield="ItemTypeID" datatextfield="Title" /> The problem is that when not in edit mode, it displays the numeric ItemTypeID, rather than the text labels: TYPE | TITLE -----------+-------------------- 100123 | Item 1 100123 | Item 2 100124 | Item 3 100124 | Item 4 Is there any way to have JQGrid respect the distinction between DataValueField and DataTextField? (Either using the jQuery API or the ASP.NET plugin.)

  • How to programmatically show & hide BalloonPopupExtender?

    - by Danferd
I have a page that will be having few buttons that will redirect user to certain pages that required them to login before to proceed to the page. I would like to have something like, when user click on the button that required login and if user is not logged in prior to the click, a tooltip will show up beside the 'User ID' textbox to inform user to login in order to proceed. So, I implemented the jQuery Tooltipster in the page to show the tooltip message. I'm having problem on IE8 in Windows XP where the first click on the button, the tooltip would show up, but the second click it wouldn't then the third click, it shows up again and then the fourth click, it wouldn't! But for IE8 in Windows 7, IE9 & IE10, they have no such problem. Any idea how to fix this? The 'imgBtnKISS' & 'lnkBtnKISS' buttons are located in a content page but the tooltip and the 'User ID' textbox are in a master page. Below is the code that how I call the tooltip: function loginAlertMsg() { $('.tooltip').tooltipster({ trigger: 'custom', position: 'left', onlyOne: false, content: 'Login required! Please login to proceed.' }); $('#ctl00_txtID').tooltipster('show'); $('#ctl00_txtID').focus(); } Private Sub KISS_Click() Handles imgBtnKISS.Click, lnkBtnKISS.Click If Not bIsRefresh Then '==Detect User Login Status== Session(sesClickFromIcon) = toKISS If Session(USR.sesLogin) Is Nothing Then '//User NOT LOGIN. If (Not Page.ClientScript.IsStartupScriptRegistered("loginAlertMsg")) Then Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "loginAlertMsg", "loginAlertMsg();", True) End If Exit Sub Else If Trim(CType(Session.Item(USR.sesLogin), Boolean)) <> True Then '//User NOT LOGIN. If (Not Page.ClientScript.IsStartupScriptRegistered("loginAlertMsg")) Then Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "loginAlertMsg", "loginAlertMsg();", True) End If Exit Sub End If End If '**Detect User Login Status** Response.Redirect("~/page2.aspx", False) Session.Remove(sesClickFromIcon) End If End Sub

They're just 3 radio buttons turned into "buttons"--literally. My question is this: After people click the third button, I cannot manually check the first button anymore. How can I manually check "radio1"? I tried JQuery: $("#radio1").attr("checked",true); But this didn't work. The third button still remained pressed down.

  • ajax redirect dillema, how to get redirect URL OR how to set properties for redirect request

    - by Anthony
First, I'm working in Google Chrome, if that helps. Here is the behavior: I send an xhr request via jquery to a remote site (this is a chrome Extension, and I've set all of the cross-site settings...): $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType : "text/xml", url: some_url, data: some_xml, username: user, password: pass, success: function(data, status, xhr){ alert(data); }, error: function(xhr, status, error){ alert(xhr.status); } }); The URL that is being set returns a 302 (this is expected), and Chrome follows the redirect (also expected). The new URL returns a prompt for credentials, which are not being pulled from the original request, so Chrome shows a login dialog. If I put in the original credentials, I get back a response about invalid request sent (it's a valid HTTP request -- 200 -- the remote server just doesn't like one of the headers). When viewing the developer window in Chrome, there are two requests sent. The first is to the original URL with all settings set in the ajax request. The second is to the redirect URL, with a method of "GET", nothing from the "POST" field, and no credentials. I am at a loss as to what I can do. I either need to: Get the redirect URL so I can send a second request (xhr.getResponseHeader("Location") does NOT work), Have the new redirect request preserver the settings from the original request, or Get the final URL that the error came from so I can send another request. Ideally I don't want the user to have to put in their credentials a second time in this dialog box, but I'll take what I can get if I can just get the final URL.

  • Why does Internet Explorer break "pegman" display in Google Maps API v3?

On my site here, the SteetView control, aka "Pegman", works great under Firefox. Under IE (7 in this case, but tested on 8 as well - same result) it breaks the display of the pegman control. Here's my map code: var directionsDisplay; var directionsService = new google.maps.DirectionsService(); var map; directionsDisplay = new google.maps.DirectionsRenderer(); var milBase = new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323); var mapOpts = { streetViewControl: true, zoom: 12, center: milBase, mapTypeControlOptions: { style: google.maps.MapTypeControlStyle.DROPDOWN_MENU }, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; map = new google.maps.Map($("#dirMap").get(0), mapOpts); directionsDisplay.setMap(map); var basePoly = new google.maps.Polygon({ paths: [new google.maps.LatLng(35.724496338474104, 139.3444061279297), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74748750802863, 139.3363380432129), new google.maps.LatLng(35.75765724051559, 139.34303283691406), new google.maps.LatLng(35.76545779822543, 139.3418312072754), new google.maps.LatLng(35.767547103447725, 139.3476676940918), new google.maps.LatLng(35.75835374997911, 139.34955596923828), new google.maps.LatLng(35.755149755962755, 139.3567657470703), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74679090345495, 139.35796737670898), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74762682821177, 139.36294555664062), new google.maps.LatLng(35.744422402303826, 139.36346054077148), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74860206266584, 139.36946868896484), new google.maps.LatLng(35.735644401200986, 139.36843872070312), new google.maps.LatLng(35.73843117306677, 139.36174392700195), new google.maps.LatLng(35.73592308277646, 139.3531608581543), new google.maps.LatLng(35.72686543236113, 139.35298919677734), new google.maps.LatLng(35.724496338474104, 139.3444061279297)], strokeColor: "#ff0000", strokeOpacity: 0.8, strokeWeight: 2, fillColor: "#FF0000", fillOpacity: 0.35 }); basePoly.setMap(map); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323), map: map, title: "Ruby International" }); function calcRoute() { var start = new google.maps.LatLng(35.74005964772476, 139.37083393335342); var end = new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323); var request = { origin: start, destination: end, travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; directionsService.route(request, function(result, status) { if (status == google.maps.DirectionsStatus.OK) { directionsDisplay.setDirections(result); } }); } The only real difference from my code and Google's code is that I use jQuery's document ready function instead of the body onload event to initialize my map. Can't imagine that's the cause though (works in v2 of the maps). Have I found a bug or is there something wrong in my code? Thanks in advance!

  • Force Postback from code behind? Or reload JavaScript from an Asynchronous Postback?

    - by sah302
Hi all, I've got a Jquery UI dialog that pops up to confirm the creation of an item after filling out a form. I have the form in an update panel due to various needs of the form, and especially because I want validation being done on the form without reloading the page. JavaScript appears to not reload on an asynchronoous postback. This means when the form is a success and I change the variable 'formSubmitPass' to true, it does not get passed to the Javascript via <%= formSubmitPass %. If I add a trigger to the submit button to do a full postback, it works. However I don't want the submit button to do a full postback as I said so I can validate the form within the update panel. How can I have this so my form validates asynchronously, but my javaScript will properly reload when the form is completed successfully and the item is saved to the database? Javascript: var formSubmitPass = '<%= formSubmitPass %>'; var redirectUrl = '<%= redirectUrl %>'; function pageLoad() { $('#formPassBox').dialog({ autoOpen: false, width: 400, resizable: false, modal: true, draggable: false, buttons: { "Ok": function() { window.location.href = redirectUrl; } }, open: function(event, ui) { $(".ui-dialog-titlebar-close").hide(); var t = window.setTimeout("goToUrl()", 5000); } }); if(formSubmitPass == 'True') { $('#formPassBox').dialog({ autoOpen: true }); } So how can I force a postback from the code behind, or reload the JavaScript on an Asynchronous Postback, or do this in a way that will work such that I can continue to do Async form validation? Edit: I change formSubmitPass at the very end of the code behind: If errorCount = 0 Then formSubmitPass = True upForm.Update() Else formSubmitPass = False End If So on a full postback, the value does change.

  • Need help replicating directory structure with ColdFusion and jsTree

    - by Derek
    I am using this new jQuery plugin called jsTree www.jstree.com and using the HTML datasource. I am also using ColdFusion 7 with cfdirectory and filtering out files, so just dirs. I need to recreate the directory structure in the image, well any dir structure I give it actually. I am having a heck of a time with the logic. variables.imageDirectoriesLen = 8 in this scenario cause I am outputting from the middle of the actual file path, not from begining. Thanks for the help. Derek this is what I have so far <cfoutput query="clientImageDirsFilter"> <cfset nextLen = 0 /> <cfset nextDir = "" /> <cfset nextRowCnt = currentRow+1 /> <cfset nextDir = clientImageDirsFilter.directory[nextRowCnt] & "\" & clientImageDirsFilter.name[nextRowCnt] /> <cfset nextLen = listLen(nextDir, "\") /> <cfset currLen = listLen(clientImageDirsFilter.directory & "\" & clientImageDirsFilter.name,"\") /> <cfif currLen eq nextLen> <li rel="folder" id="node_#randRange(1,99999)#"><a href="##"><ins>&nbsp;</ins>#clientImageDirsFilter.name#</a></li> <cfelseif nextLen lt currLen> <cfif nextLen eq 0> #repeatString("</li></ul>",(currLen-nextLen-variables.imageDirectoriesLen))# </cfif> <cfelse> <ul> <li rel="folder" id="node_#randRange(1,99999)#"><a href="##"><ins>&nbsp;</ins>#clientImageDirsFilter.name#</a> <ul> </cfif>

  • Display weekday in textbox or label using date from textbox

    - by Niels Schultz
    I have a textbox with calendar extender and a label <label for="<%= tbxFrom.ClientID %>"> From</label> <asp:Label ID="lblWeekDayFrom" runat="server"></asp:Label> <asp:TextBox ID="tbxFrom" runat="server" CssClass="Calendar"></asp:TextBox> <cc1:CalendarExtender ID="extTbxFrom" runat="server" TargetControlID="tbxStartTag"> </cc1:CalendarExtender> and now I would like to show the weekday of the currently selected date, either using a formatting inside the textbox like Th 05/20/2010 or showing the weekday as string using the label on the left side of the texbox (lblWeekDayFrom). There is a calendarExtender to select the date, but I would also like to be able to have the users enter the date manually. I tried to use JQuery to capture changes, but the label is not showing anything, and it triggers the RequiredFieldValidator on every initial page load. $(document).ready(function() { $('#<%= tbxFrom.ClientID %>').change(updateDate($('#<%= tbxFrom.ClientID %>').val())) } ); function updateDate(date) { $('#<%= lblWeekDayFrom.ClientID %>').val(date); }

  • Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'ShowDatePicker' is undefined

    - by dbobrow
Working around an issue where my jquery datepicker does not display after postback within an update panel. The textbox (trigger) for the calendar is contained within a control, which is contained within an update panel. I found an article assisting with this issue, and it informed me to do the following Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim tScript As String = "$(function(){ Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(ShowDatePicker); });" Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "async_" & Me.txtAquisition.ClientID, tScript, True) Then on the ascx I have <script type="text/javascript"> function showDatePicker(sender, args) { var control = document.getElementById("<%=txtAquisition.ClientID %>") alert(control); $(control).each(function() { $(this).datepicker({ showOn: 'focus' }); }); } </script> but am getting an undefined error. Am I approaching this in the correct manner? Any other suggestions to ensure my datepicker remains usable within the update panel? Thinking this may be due to the fact that I have the controls nested within an update panel... several of them in fact. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

  • Google maps API V3 code to V2 help.

    - by abemonkey
I've started working on a project to inject markers into a map with jQuery by looping through rows on a table in the page. After getting it working I realized that I was accessing the V3 API and using V3 syntax. I've been beating my head against a wall trying to get this working in google maps API V2. If someone could please take a look at my code and help that would be great! Thanks! You can see my little test in action at www.axtsweapons.com/maptest.html. Here is the JS code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(45.440000,-122.630000); var settings = { zoom: 12, center: latlng, disableDefaultUI: false, mapTypeControl:false, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), settings); $('tr').each(function(i) { var the_marker = new google.maps.Marker({ title: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text(), map: map, clickable: true, position: new google.maps.LatLng( parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-latitude').text()), parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-longitude').text()) ) }); var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds(); var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text() + $(this).find('.adr').text() }); new google.maps.event.addListener(the_marker, 'click', function() { infowindow.close(); infowindow.open(map, the_marker); }); }); }); </script>

  • Validate checkboxes in MVC form

    - by Frode Lillerud
Hi, I have a table in an ASP.NET MVC2 form. On each row in the table there is a checkbox. Underneath the table there is a submitbutton. I want to make the button disabled when NONE of the checkboxes are selected. <% using Html.BeginForm(....) { %> <table> <% foreach (var item in Model) { %> <tr> <td> <input type="checkbox" name="selectedContacts" /> </td></tr> <% } //End foreach %> </table> <% } //End using %> <input type="submit" value="Create selection" name="CreateSelectionAction" /> The number of lines/checkboxes will vary from 1 to many. How can I use MVC2/jQuery to require the user to selected minimum one checkbox before clicking Submit button? Edit; Of the three answers below I couldn't get any of them to work. Nothing happens when clicking the checkboxes, and no Javascript errors are raised. Setting up a small bounty.

  • IE innerHTML chops sentence if the last word contains '&' (ampersand)

    - by Mandai
I am trying to populate a DOM element with ID 'myElement'. The content which I'm populating is a mix of text and HTML elements. Assume following is the content I wish to populate in my DOM element. var x = "<b>Success</b> is a matter of hard work &luck"; I tried using innerHTML as follows, document.getElementById("myElement").innerHTML=x; This resulted in chopping off of the last word in my sentence. Apparently, the problem is due to the '&' character present in the last word. I played around with the '&' and innerHTML and following are my observations. If the last word of the content is less than 10 characters and if it has a '&' character present in it, innerHTML chops off the sentence at '&'. This problem does not happen in firefox. If I use innerText the last word is in tact but then all the HTML tags which are part of the content becomes plain text. I tried populating through jQuery's #html method, $("#myElement").html(x); This approach solves the problem in IE but not in chrome. How can I insert a HTML content with a last word containing '&' without it being chopped off in all browsers?

  • Scroll Position in a Table Body

    - by Craig Walker
I want to implement infinite scrolling (with an AJAX-based loader) in an HTML table body. My HTML looks something like this: <table> <thead> <tr><th>Column</th></tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr><td>Row 1</td></tr> <tr><td>Row 2</td></tr> </tbody> </table> I get a scroll bar on the <tbody> like so: tbody { height:10em; /* Otherwise the tbody expands to fit all rows */ overflow:auto; } To be able to do anything when the user scrolls to the bottom, I need to be able to get the scroll position of the <tbody>. In all of the (jQuery) infinite scroll implementations I've seen (such as this one), they subtract the content height from the container height and compare it to the .scrollTop() value. Unfortunately this may not work with <tbody>, which is both the viewport and the container for the scrolled content. $("tbody").height() returns the viewable (ie: "shrunken") size, but I don't know how I can get the full (viewable + hidden) size of the table body. (FWIW, $("tbody").scrollTop() returns a "large" number when scrolled to the bottom, exactly as I would expect it to). Is there any way to accomplish this?
