pdb show different variable values than print statements

Hi, everyone. I am debugging a python module with homemade c extensions. The output seems correct when I print it with 'p' in pdb. But if I use a normal print statement or pickle it, the output is wrong. What could be causing pdb to show different values than normal execution? I can even step to the print statement in debug mode, and pdb will show the correct value but the program will print the wrong one. The problem seems to happen only when I have called a certain c extension earlier. Glad to post code if that helps. Thank you.

NSURLConnection and Basic HTTP Authentication

I need to invoke an initial GET HTTP request with Basic Authentication. This would be the first time the request is sent to the server and I already have the username & password so there's no need for a challenge from the server for authorization. First question: 1) Does NSUrlConnection have to be set as synchronous to do Basic Auth? According to the answer on this post, it seems that you can't do Basic Auth if you opt for the async route. 2) Anyone know of any some sample code that illustrates Basic Auth on a GET request without the need for a challenge response? Apple's documentation shows an example but only after the server has issued the challenge request to the client. I'm kind of new the networking portion of the SDK and I'm not sure which of the other classes I should use to get this working. (I see the NSURLCredential class but it seems that it is used only with NSURLAuthenticationChallenge after the client has requested for an authorized resource from the server).

Model Not Valid Even With No [Required] Attribute

I have a model which is validating as False even though I have no validation rules attached to it what so ever. SignalR cross domain does not work after updating to 0.5.1

My site uses SignalR to communicate cross-domain. It worked great but I updated SignalR from 0.5.0 to 0.5.1 and my site broke. Here's my script: function start() { $.connection.hub.url = "http://otherdomain.com/signalr"; $.connection.hub.start().done(function () { $.connection.myHub.join(); }); } When script calls join - I see in Firebug that it is a POST (I believe it shoold be GET (jsonp) since it is cross domain) with no response. EDIT: I tried $.connection.hub.start({jsonp: true}). Now I have can call server from client but calls from server don't execute on client. I noticed that there are following calls: negotiate and send whereas locally (the same domain) there are: negotiate, connect, send.

Passing parameters between interrupt handlers on a Cortex-M3 ...

I'm building a light kernel for a Cortex-M3. From a high priority interrupt I'd like to invoke some code to run in a lower priority interrupt and pass some parameters along. I don't want to use a queue to post work to the lower priority interrupt. I just have a buffer and size to pass to it. In the proramming manual it says that the SVC interrupt handler is synchronous which presumably means that if you invoke it from an interrupt that's a lower priority than SVC's handler it gets called immediately (the upshot of this being that you can pass parameters to it as though it were a function call (a little like the BIOS calls in MS-DOS)). I'd like to do it the other way: passing parameters from a high priority interrupt to a lower priority one (at the moment I'm doing it by leaving the parameters in a fixed location in memory). What's the best way to do this (if at all possible)? Thanks,

I apologize if this has already been answered, but all the information out there on Facebook publishing is so confusing and conflicting, I haven't been able to get anything to work yet. I'm trying to set up an application that runs on my local server to publish content to my organization's fan page (this will tie in with my WCMS to cross-post content). I believe I want a Facebook Connect application to do this which I've set up properly in Facebook and gotten an application key and secret. Here's the code I'm trying to execute, but each time it's run I get "User has not authorized access" even if I'm just trying to publish to the application wall. How to return model state from child action handler in ASP.NET MVC

In my blog engine, I have one controller action that displays blog content, and in that view, I call Html.RenderAction(...) to render the "CreateComment" form. When a user posts a comment, the post is handled by the comment controller (not the blog controller). If the comment data is valid, I simply return a Redirect back to the blog page's URL. If the comment data is invalid (e.g. comment body is empty), I want to return the ViewData with the error information back to the blog controller and through the blog view to the CreateComment action/view so I can display which fields are bad. I have this working fine via AJAX when Javascript is enabled, but now I'm working on the case where Javascript might be disabled. If I return a RedirecToAction or Redirect from the comment controller, the model state information is lost. Any ideas?

Returning form errors for AJAX request in Django

Hi Guys, I've been finding my way around Django and jQuery. I've built a basic form in Django. On clicking submit, I'm using jQuey to make an AJAX request to the sever to post my data. This bit seems to work fine and I've managed to save the data. Django returns a ValidatioError when a form is invalid. Could anyone tell me how to return this set of error messages as a response to my AJAX request so i can easily iterate through it using JS and do whatever? I found this snippet. Looking at the JS bit (processJson) you'll see that he seems to get the error messages by extracting them from the response HTML. It seems kinda kludgy to me. Is this a best way to go about it? My apologies for any vagueness. Thanks in advance.

Can a DevExpress XtraGrid be filled using a a Dynamic SELECT statement string? i.e. SELECT * FROM Employee or SELECT * FROM Dependents To fill our XtraGrids currently, we use a ORM that creates entities. To do this it takes a lot of steps and time. What is driving me to ask this question is we do a lot of client aquistions where we get hundreds of files. I do not want to create entities for all of these then have to create an XtraGrid for each entity. Ideally if I can just feed it a SELECT statement and the XtraGrid could render it then I could use the XtraGrid very nice data minipulation features (Filter, Group By, etc). If you have any other ideas or suggestions please to not hesitate to post them.

Automating the Choose a digital certificate dialog

I am using WatiN (2.0.10.928) with C# and Visual Studio 2008 to test a SSL secured website that requires a certificate. When you navigate to the homepage a "Choose a digital certificate" dialog is displayed and requires that you select a valid certificate and click the 'OK' button. I'm looking for a way to automate the certificate selection so that every time a new test or fixture is executed (and my browser restarts) I don't have to manually interfere with the automated test and select the certificate. I've tried using various WatiN Dialog Handler classes and even looked into using the Win32 API to automate this but haven't had much luck. I finally found a solution but its adds another dependency to the solution (a third party library called AutoIT). Since this solution isn't ideal but does work and is the best I could find, I will post the solution and mark it as the answer but I am still looking for an 'out of the box' WatiN solution that is more consistent with the rest of my code and test fixtures. Problem passing json into jquery graph(flot)

I trying to retrieve some json to pass into a flot graph. I know that json is right because I hard coded it to check, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not passing right because It's not showing up. UITextField in UITableView to becomeFirstResponder.

Hi ! I have a problem which I dont have a clue how to work around. Maybe anyone of you could help me to the correct directions... Simple I have a UITableView with each cell containing a UITextField. When I´m editing a cell (UITextField) and hit Return Key, a new row is inserted under the current cell. After that I reloadData on the TableView, the new row is showed. Everything is OK here. Now to my problem, I want to [UITextField becomeFirstResponder] on the newest added row. But I could not find anyway to accomplish this. I could post code but didn't find that necessary. Cheers.

SQL Server 2008 DBNETLIB error

Hi all Our ASp.net applications getting error as below" [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied " But i can connect with Enterprise manager management studio and Query analaizer with out any issue. It was running these applications with out any issue long time. last one week we are getting this error.If we restart the server .it works then it will come again after 3to 4 hours. We are running on Windows 2003 server. I was seraching and didnt find a solution yet. If anybody knows anything for this error, please post the details to resolve. Thank you in Advance Joseph

IIRF not working with AsP.NET PostBacks?

Hi, I have the following scenario Web server A: public on the internet, IIRF (current version) installed Web server B: on the intranet, visible to A, my APS.NET web app is installed on, name is pgdbtest3 I configure IIRF so that any request targetting directory /MMS/ on server A is redirected to the corresponding one http://pgdbtest3/MMS/. The ini file look like: StatusUrl /iirfStatus RemoteOk RedirectRule ^/MMS$ /MMS/ [I] ProxyPass ^/MMS/(.*)$ http://pgdbtest3/MMS/$1 [I] It is working fine except that any post back causes an error (404 is returned). I have tried many solutions including the removal of the action attribute from the form but with no luck. Please help!

Cocoa Memory Usage

I'm trying to track down some peculiar memory behavior in my Cocoa desktop app. My app does a lot of image processing using NSImage and uploads those images to a website over HTTP using NSURLConnection. After uploading several hundred images (some very large), when I run Instrument I get no leaks. I've also run through MallocDebug and get no leaks. When I dig into object allocations using Instrument I get output like this: GeneralBlock-9437184, Net Bytes 9437184, # Net 1 GeneralBlock-192512, Net Bytes 2695168, # Net 14 and etc., for smaller sizes. When I look at these in detail, they're marked as being owned by 'Foundation' and created via NSConcreteMutableData initWithCapacity. During HTTP upload I'm creating a post body using NSMutableData, so I'm guessing these are buffers Cocoa is caching for me when I create the NSMutableData objects. Is there a way to force Cocoa to free these? I'm 90% positive I'm releasing correctly (and Instruments and MallocDebug seem to confirm this), but I think Cocoa is keeping these around for perf reasons since I'm allocating so many MSMutableData buffers.

Why do I lose my javascript from the browser cache after a full page postback?

Hi, I have an external javascript file which I include to my page on the code behind (as seen below). My problem is, when I my page makes a postback (not partial one), I check the loaded scripts by using FireBug, and I cannot see the javascript file in the list after the post back. I asusmed once it is included to page on the first load, browser will be caching it so that I do not need to re-include it. What am I doing wrong? Hello all, Two random question as I try to integerate Paypal IPN into my Codeigniter based web app. 1) Are these two lines the same? $data['pp_info'] = $this->input->post(); $data['pp_info'] = $_POST; 2) A user agrees to pay a monthly recurring fee to use your service using paypal - first payment you are aware they have paid as you get data returned from paypal. But how do you keep track if users has paid for the following months? How do you know the user has not cancelled from their paypal account? Thanks all for any help

Any ideas how it's done?
