• Image gets slightly erased on SWT/Windows

  I have an Eclipse plugin which includes a view. The view has several icons in the toolbar. I'm experiencing a very strange problem: on Windows, in some occasions (after prolonged use), one of the icons gets slightly erased. This does not happen on other platforms. This looks like a memory leak or some other resource misuse, but I just can't figure out where. The rest of the icons, which are initialized and used in the exact same manner are not affected. I tried working with Sleak, but I really don't see anything out of the ordinary. Any help would be appreciated.

• Closing several android activities simultaneously

  In my application you can navigate through several Activities until the Activity stack is quite deep. We'd like a button on every Activity that will take you straight back to the main menu - i.e. pop all Activities from the stack except the first one. I've put the button in a View that I can easily put on every Activity in the application, but I can't figure out how to close several Activities in one fell swoop. (If possible, it would be good if the View could work out how many Activities to close by itself - i.e. detect how deep on the stack its own Activity is.)

  I am try to display the progress value of the seekBar but when it comes to the execution, there is no update on the value being display on the TextView. I wonder what alternatives than putting two classes onto one big class in order to archive this aim ?   Hi all, I am starting to re-write my whole silverlight business application in the MVVM pattern; My first stop-point is this: I have a page (View1) with corresponding ViewModel1 (with a property 'IEnumerable AllData'); Now, within this View, I want to have i.e. a tree-view control, in which one node will be populated with another View2; My question is: 1. How to do it? - I can't loop through the AllData property since it is asynchronously loaded... - thus I don't know the number of View2s' to insert - I don't know how to do it from ViewModel1 :( Will I need ViewModel2 with property 'MyDataEntity CurrentData'? or I can bind to AllData property from ViewModel1 Can you help me out?   Hi, My current target is to give users the chance to download CSV files from the admin site of my application. I successfully managed to create an additional column in the model's list view this way: def doc_link(self): return '<a href="files/%s">%s</a>' % (self.output, self.output) doc_link.allow_tags = True This shows the file name and creates the link, but sadly - because it's inside my 'searches' view - it has an URL: my_site/my_app/searches/files/13.csv. This is my problem, I would like to have my files stored in the admin media directory, like this: http://my_site/media/files/13.csv Does somebody know how to give url which points "outer" from the model's directory? Maybe somehow tell Django to use the ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX in the link? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks!

  the App Store app and fairly a lot many apps display a view that says "Loading.." while the content is being retrieved. How can we do this? Should I remove the UITableView and call addSubView and then once the data is available, add the tableview back? Or is there any other shortcut?   I have written a REST service that uses WSSE as an authentication method but i want to be able to use this rest service through a browser by creating a website around the service. I want the user to be able to log in on the website then when they view, for example the "view users" page an ajax request is made to test.com/users and back comes the list. The part i'm trying to get my head around is the logging in/out on the website and keeping the user logged in across pages. Since in a true REST implementation there's no state held on the server, i can't use $_SESSION and now i don't know where to start! What is the best way to go about this? Do i still need to store session information on the server then possibly use cURL to make the request? Thanks Jay

  I am trying to vertically align the text in the UILabel view of my app. The problem is that I want the text to be vertically aligned to the top and the size of the label to be 280 x 150. I am only able to achieve one of these 2 things. If I remove the line [myLabel sizeToFit]; then the alignment of the text is alright but the size is messed up. But if I add the above line, then the alignment is messed up but the size is alright. How do I fix this problem. • NHibernate does not update entity when repository is passed by constructor

  Hi everybody, I am developing with NHibernate for the first time in conjunction with ASP.NET MVC and StructureMap. The CodeCampServer serves as a great example for me. I really like the different concepts which were implemented there and I can learn a lot from it. In my controllers I use Constructur Dependency Injection to get an instance of the specific repository needed. So why does the UIImageView won't display a image taken with the camera inside a UINavigationController?

  I want to build a PHP based site where, the user can view data based on the types of data they've paid for. Allow me to use something simple for an example. Let's say historical data for basketball was not readily available but could be purchased. Simple information such as the Winner, Loser, Final score and date are all stored in a mySQL table. What would be involved so that, when the user logs in, they can only see the historical data they have paid for. My theories so far about the architecture: I imagined a mySQL table storing True or False values for all historical game data they have paid for. • animating adding/removing layers on iPhone

  On the iPhone, when you add a sub layer to a visible view's layer, using either -addSublayer: or -removeFromSuperlayer, shouldn't that sub layer appear or disappear in an animated manner (ie. fade in or fade out gradually)? My program animates using layers (not views). When I change a property of a layer like position or image content, then the change does animate (layer streaks around it's parent layer, the layer fades from the old image to the new image), so I obviously have the layers & view setup correctly. However, when I add or remove a sub layer, the change occurs instantly; there is no animation. Reading the references, it says that if the layer is visible, the sub layer should animate when adder or removed. What am I doing wrong? Has anyone had a similar problem, and was able to find a solution? Thank you, Steve Sheets
