  • Subversion hard disk full

    Our SVN server hd was full. Deleted a load of unwanted data on there, and all appeared to be well. However, new check-ins are now failing. Can't move '/repos/db/txn-protorevs/1000-vr.rev' to '/repos/db/revs/1/1001': Permission denied 1000-vr.rev does not exist. There are two other files in there: 9-9.rev and 9-9.rev-lock Edit: I have checked file permissions just in case, and all is as it should be.

  • Launching a Facebook page from an iPhone app via QR code

    I'm trying to create a QR code that launches a Facebook page from the app, rather than the browser on both Android and iOS. Creating the code with fb://page/<page id>, works perfectly on an Android. This was also supposed to work with iOS's Facebook app, but I think since Facebook updated their app recently from a HTML5 version to a fully native iOS app, that functionality has stopped working. It indeed opens the Facebook app, but it does not go to the page. Has anyone else seen this happen since the app was updated a few weeks ago? And what string would I have to use to create a working QR Code for iOS's Facebook app?

  • Windows 7 dualscreen wallpaper?

    So, I've got a killer dual screen wallpaper that stretches across both monitors. The question is...when I lock my computer or if I logoff and log back in. It shows the default wallpaper on my left screen and leaves my right screen black...until I'm logged in then it shows my dual screen wallpaper. Is there any ways to override the default wallpaper on the login screen?

  • Is there a way to prevent a message from accidentally being sent?

    I am terrified of accidentally sending a reply before I'm finished editing it. Usually what I do is either: copy the email into word, edit in word, then hit reply-to-all in outlook, paste in my text, and send. hit reply-to-all, delete the recipient names, edit, add the recipient names, and send. Is there a way to 'lock' the email so I can't send it while I'm making edits in Outlook? I hate having to switch between programs just so I can edit.

  • Java - Confused by the one class per file rule

    The one class per file rule in Java has me a bit confused. I writing an Android app and trying to implement the accepted answer to this question: Common class for AsyncTask in Android? which calls for an interface definition which class A implements and class B accepts as an argument to its constructor. So I need an A.java and a B.java, but where does the interface go? Does it need a separate java file itself? Do I have to define it inside both A and B? If not how to import it? Also I will have about 10 different AsyncTask classes, but I don't want to bother creating a new file for each one. What would you recommend? Is there a way to put all 10 classes in one file? Or should I create a big if/then block inside the class and pass an argument telling it which of the 10 different tasks I want it to do?

  • MySQL reclaim index space after large delete?

    After performing a large delete in MySQL, I understand you need to run a NULL ALTER to reclaim disk space, is this also true for reclaiming index space? We have tables using 10G of index space and have deleted/archived large chunks of this data and unsure if we need to rebuild the table in order to decrease the size of the index. Can anyone offer any advice? We are trying to avoid rebuilding the table since it would take quite awhile and lock the table. Thanks!

I have about 2000 workstations which require dozens of different timeout values, lock/not locked on resume settings, different screen saver files (that can be frequently updated depending on department), etc. It's looking to be quite an undertaking accomplishing this with domain group policies so I'm hoping you guys have some suggestions of products to use.     I searched the web, browsed through the libGDX wiki, but without success. My Question: Is there a way, to access the camera of smartphones, let the user take a photo, and then store the image in a Texture-instance? I could imagin something like this: @Override public void onCamTrigger(){ ApplicationType appType = Gdx.app.getType(); switch (appType) { case Android: case iOS: Texture someTexture = new Texture(Gdx.input.getCamera().getImage()); //do something with the Texture instance... someTexture.dispose(); break; default: break; } } Of course this is pure fiction! I know that there's a lot more to this like opening the camera, displaying it, then take a photo etc. . But is there a convenience method like this? If so, how does it work? On Android, i think i could implement it without using any convenience methods offered by libGDX, but i have no idea on how this works on iOS =/

    hi, i have a few programs that check if file exist, and if its old version delete him and paste the new one. However under Windows 7 Professional i can't delete the file some System process is always restoring it (same with the dll files) and as you can imagine a lot of programs are crashing because of that behaviour. So WHAT SERVICE/PROCESS can lock/recreate/restore files? I have disabled System Recovery.

    I have a HP ProLiant DL380 G3 running Windows Server 2000 that has been crashing everyday between 6-730am. This started when I changed out a failing hard drive 6 days ago. I have looked at the scheduled tasks which does not have anything pertaining to this issue. Below are the only things I see in the system log and some of the dump files. Can this be a hardware issue if this happens at a certain time frame everyday? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks The previous system shutdown at 6:07:55 AM on 2/7/2012 was unexpected.   • Mercurial: two separate repos somewhat related (yes I'm getting confused)

    I have a local repository, let's call it ONE. ONE is the actual program. It's an android program, in case it matters for some reason. I have a remote repository, let's call it EXT. EXT is somewhat a library, used by ONE. ONE has a complex directory structure, mandated by android. The main sources are in src/bla/bla/ONE. Since ONE uses EXT, to do it I had to create another directory next to that one, that is src/bla/bla/EXT. I think would like to keep them separated in two repositories, but I need for them to actually be in this same directory structure to compile ONE. At the moment I just created a symlink to do it, but I wonder if there is a better way of doing that, that uses some hg feature.

    I'm creating a top-down 2D space game in LIBGDX for android. When spaceship is going forward it will look like this: when it goes upward I want to change it's direction with a nice animation so it seems like a real spaceship. A between frame would be like this: I have rendered the spaceship in different Z axis degrees from ship0 to ship90. Calculating rotation on XY plane wouldn't be so hard, but I don't know how to calculate the rotation on Z axis so I can choose the right sprite to use.

  • ESXi hard drive power saving

    I currently have a Windows Server running beneath my desk and was considering replacing it with a ESXi layer to run both a Windows and Unix virtual machine. The ESXi is going to give me some nice advantages that I can use but I am still stuck on this issue: The server is mainly used as a fileserver/local webserver, and I use Windows tasks to hibernate/wake the machine at night. Also there is an aggressive disk spin down timeout to reduce noise. With ESXi, this will not be possible to do any more. I could live with the server running 24/7, but I would really like to spin down the disks when not in use. Is there a way to do this on ESXi?

However when I try and write the global in my hlsl code, //clamp the max color below by this color clamp( maxColor, output.color, float4( 1e6,1e6,1e6,1e6 ) ) ; I see: error X3025: global variables are implicitly constant, enable compatibility mode to allow modification What is the correct way to declare a shader global in d3d11 that the vertex shader can write to, and the pixel shader can read? I realize this is a bit tough since the vertex shaders are supposed to run in parallel, and introducing a shader global that they all write to means a lock..
