  • How to mkdir only if a dir does not already exist?

    I am writing a script to run under the korn shell on AIX. I'd like to use the mkdir command to create a directory. But the directory may already exist, in which case I don't want to do anything. So I want to either test to see that the directory doesn't exist, or suppress the "File exists" error that mkdir throws when it tries to create an existing directory. Any thoughts on how best to do this?

  • How to setup Solr on a live VPS?

    I follow the instruction on http://lucene.apache.org/solr/tutorial.html and I can setup Solr on my PC. Now when I come to my VPS I cannot overcome the step: $ java -jar start.jar Afer running that command, search service is available at http: //x.x.x.x:8983/solr/select . But, Whenever I close the SSH client, the service on http: //x.x.x.x:8983/solr/select is also closed. So I can't search any more. What should I do? Thanks for any help.

  • Macports 1.8.2 fails to build db46 on os x 1.6.3

  • vb6 ADODB TSQL procedure call quit working after database migration

    This code was once working on sql server 2005. Now isolated in a visual basic 6 sub routine using ADODB to connect to a sql server 2008 database it throws an error saying: "Login failed for user 'admin' " I have since verified the connection string does work if i replace the body of this sub with the alternative code below this sub. When I run the small program with the button, it stops where it is marked below the asterisk line. Any ideas? thanks in advance.     In my UIWebView when an anchor is clicked I catch it in ShouldStartLoad and always return false to cancel it. (I treat the clicks as command to do things) Strangely the ShouldStartLoad only fires once if the same anchor is clicked more than once in a row. Eg: Click "A", Click "A" - ShouldStartLoad receives "A" once Click "A", Click "B", Click "A" - ShouldStartLoad receives "A", then "B" then "A" Is there a way to make ShouldStartLoad receive "A" twice when clicked twice in a row?
