    Hi Friends, I have a html page with 4 iframes out of these 4 one is a static html page and other 3 are html generated by flex. I have a button and list in one of the flex applications and the list will be populated on click of the button. Now what I want is to have a custom busy cursor to appear on the top of the whole html page until the list gets populated. Please tell me if its possible with an example.     Are there any downsides to UPX-ing my 32-bit Python 2.6.4 development environment EXE/PYD/DLL files? The reason I'm asking is that I frequently use a custom PY2EXE script that UPX's copies of these files on every build. Yes, I could get fancy and try to cache UPXed files, but I think a simpler, safer, and higher performance solution would be for me to just UPX my Python 2.6.4 directory once and be done with it.     I'm creating a ASP.NET MVC website and I was wandering which techniques do you guys use to protect primary key on these mvc urls. Actually ASP.NET MVC generates this syntax for its urls: /Controller/Action/Id Last week I was trying to encrypt it using SHA-1 Encryption, but this encrypter generates some special symbols like + (plus), / (slash), and other annoying chars which difficult the decryption. Perhaps creating a custom encryption should solve the problem. But I wanna here from you guys, do you have some ideas to protect mvc urls?

  • Excel VBA Application.OnTime. I think its a bad idea to use this... thoughts either way?

    I have a number of users I support that are asking for things to happen automatically ( well more automagically but that's another point!). One want events to happen every 120 secs ( see my other question ) and also another wants 1 thing to happen say at 5pm each business day. This has to be on the Excel sheet so therefore VBA as addins etc will be a no no, as it needs to be self contained. I have a big dislike of using Application.OnTime I think its dangerous and unreliable, what does everyone else think?

    Using Grails 1.2.2, I'm working on binding a structured property (CC expiration Date) to a java.util.Date but only for specific Domain and Commands objects. I've found the StructuredPropertyEditor interface, but the only way that I've found to register it is to use the PropertyEditorRegistrar and register the editor for the java.util.Date class (much like this example) I don't want all of my dates to use my custom StructuredPropertyEditor. How do I apply the StructuredPropertyEditor selectively to specific targets like certain Command & Domain Classes?

    Why is the setContextClassLoader() method placed on thread ? What different thread have different classloaders? The question is what if i extended a classloader , loaded there some new classes. to the my custom classloader. Now , I want it to be the context classloader , so I call the method (Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(loader)). Are these new classes awailable only in the context of the current Thread ? ( or how does it work ?) Thanks

  • Is there a way to export reports from Microsoft CRM4?

    I'm setting up a proper dev environment for my client (dev/qa/stage/prod). I'd like to find a way to export reports so we can cleanly move from one environment to the next. Custom RDL type reports are easy (just import the RDL in the next environment), but the reports that are built inside CRM don't appear to export anywhere. Am I missing something? Is this another feature that was missed? Apperciate the help.

    Ok. I have made a custom cell for my table, and it contains a text view. When I have multiple lines in the text view, I can scroll up and down, but in doing this the table also scrolls. How can I stop this behaviour? If anyone needs parts of my code or further details, please just ask. I am more than willing. Thank you for your help

    I watched a free high quality video with Aaron Hillegass about Core Data vs Tokyo Cabinet. Besides that this guy is amazingly funny (really, if you want to laugh now, watch it!), he shows off Tokyo Cabinet beeing about 40x faster than Core Data. I wonder if it's worth thinking about how to attach this to Core Data? Does that make any sense? Maybe as a custom atomic store or something like this?

  • Which GUI toolkit would you use for a touchscreen interface?

    The only experience I have so far with a touchscreen interface was one where everything was custom drawn, and I get the feeling it's not the most efficient way of doing it (even the most basic layout change is hell to make). I know plenty of GUI toolkits intended at keyboard & mouse interfaces, but can you advise something suited for touchscreens? Target platform is Windows, but cross-platform would be nice.
