How to encode video to use HTML 5 video tag? [closed]

I'm trying to use <video> tag feature. I've encoded my file with ffmpeg: ffmpeg -i 1.vob -f ogg -vcodec libtheora -b 800k -g 300 -acodec libvorbis -ab 128k out.ogv I've placed this text in index.html: <video src="out.ogv" controls></video> I've loaded this files to nginx document root and opened index.html in Firefox 3.5. I see the first frame, see controls, but can't play video. This video plays good even from my server. How should I encode video to view it in browser? UPD: If I start playing video from the middle, everything works fine.

The servlet processes the data by the user and generates/feeds the data table dynamically Then I call the html page to draw the chart as shown in the tutorial link above. Then when i manually call the html page to draw the chart i am see the chart. But when I call html page directly using the request dispatcher via the servlet I dont get the result. jQuery ajax multiline "script" response

I'm designing a template creation tool, which uses a jQuery Ajax request that posts parameters to a PHP file. The PHP does the actual generation of the template's HTML. // Send for processing. Using this, the PHP file generates some jQuery dialogs for any errors which works nicely. However, after I generate the HTML, i'm having trouble passing it back. So I have probably 100 lines of generated HTML and javascript which i'd like to work with. In the PHP file, i've tried: echo('$("#result").html("'.$html.'");'); This does actually work if there are NO line breaks in $html. As soon as there are any line breaks, the Chrome debugger reports "gen.html:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL". It's obvious that it's trying to eval the returned response headers, but is stopping at any line break. So, to be clear, when I pass $html back, if the contents are this: $html = "<div>hi there</div>"; It works fine (all of my error message dialogs are one line). But if it's: $html = "<div> hi there </div>"; It blows up. I'm really not sure how to get around this, or if there's a better way to go about it. It's important to me to keep the formatting so people can copy the HTML template. I may just break down and display the template file on the PHP page if I can't solve this, but I was really hoping to keep everything within the confines of the HTML page.

Tomcat IIS 7 Integration gives 503 errors on all requests.

Can I use a MIME type declaration to get an HTML file to open in MS Word?

Is it possible to intercept an HTML form post and do some processing before sending it to it's final

I'm trying to extend the functionality of an ASP.net application that I'm working with. For its logon page, it uses an html form to post to a dll to handle it's login logic. I'm wondering if there is any way to redirect that html POST to my C# code so that I can do some processing and then (and this is the part that I haven't figured out yet) POST it to the dll so that the regular logon logic can continue. I can make changes to the logon page, but the final step must be to do an HTML POST to the dll. I can't change that.

I have been a programmer for some years now but I am a newcomer to LINQ and C# so forgive me if my question sounds particularly stupid. I hope someone may be able to point me in the right direction. My task is to come up with the ability to form a dynamic multiple group by linq query within a c# script using a generic list as a source. For example, say I have a list containing multiple items with the following structure: FieldChar1 - character FieldChar2 - character FieldChar3 - character FieldNum1 - numeric FieldNum2 - numeric In a nutshell I want to be able to create a LINQ query that will sum FieldNum1 and FieldNum2 grouped by any one, two or all three of the FieldChar fields that will be decided at runtime depending on the users requirements as well as selecting the FieldChar fields in the same query. I have the dynamic.cs in my project which icludes a GroupByMany extension method but I have to admit I am really not sure how to put these to use. I am able to get the desired results if I use a query with hard-wired group by requests but not dynamically. Skip to the "specific question" as needed. Some background: The scenario: I have a set of products with a "drill down" filter (Query Object) populated with DDLs. Each progressive DDL selection will further limit the product list as well as what options are left for the DDLs. For example, selecting a hammer out of tools limits the Product Sizes to only show hammer sizes. Current setup: I created a query object, sent it to a repository, and fed each option to a SQL "table valued function" where null values represent "get all products". I consider this a good effort, but far from DDD acceptable. I want to avoid any "programming" in SQL, hopefully doing everything with a repository. Comments on this topic would be appreciated. Specific question: How would I rewrite this query as a Dynamic Query? A link to something like 101 Linq Examples would be fantastic, but with a Dynamic Query scope. I really want to pass to this method the field in quotes "" for which I want a list of options and how many products have that option. (from p in db.Products group p by p.ProductSize into g select new Category { PropertyType = g.Key, Count = g.Count() }).Distinct(); Each DDL option will have "The selection (21)" where the (21) is the quantity of products that have that attribute. I'm using: ForceType text/html;charset=utf-8 in my .htaccess file, but it's causing all externally linked CSS to stop rendering on their respective pages. So something like this: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="somestyles.css" media="all" /> no longer works on the page using it. I've also been trying combinations of: AddCharset utf-8 .html AddCharset utf-8 .htm AddCharset utf-8 .css AddCharset utf-8 .js ForceType text/html;charset=utf-8 ForceType text/css;charset=utf-8 but no luck so far. Does anyone know what's wrong?

ASP.NET MVC 2 client side validation not working for Html.ValidationMessage()?

I'm trying to get a very simple client side validation example to work in ASP.NET MVC 2. I'm using data annotations to set a required property "Surname". When I use the Html.ValidationMessageFor(x = x.Surname) the correct client side validation script is written to the page. But when I use Html.ValidationMessage("Surname") the client side validation is not rendered out until after the page has been posted. Client side validation only starts working after a form post! I can see that the script is updated in the page after a form post. There appears to be a bug in Html.ValidationMessage()?

Some of the content has HTML like: <span class=heading-2>Directions</span> where "Directions" changes depending on page name. I need to change all the <span class=heading-2> and </span> tags to <h2> and </h2> tags. I wrote this query to do content changes in the past, but it doesn't work for my current problem because of the ending HTML tag: Update ContentManager Set ContentManager.Content = replace(Cast(ContentManager.Content AS NVARCHAR(Max)), 'old text', 'new text') Does anyone know how I could accomplish the span to h2 replacing purely in T-SQL? AssemblyResolve event is not firing during compilation of a dynamic assembly for an aspx page.

This one is really pissing me off. Here goes: My goal is to load assemblies at run-time that contain embedded aspx,ascx etc. What I would also like is to not lock the assembly file on disk so I can update it at run-time without having to restart the application (I know this will leave the previous version(s) loaded). To that end I have written a virtual path provider that does the trick. I have subscribed to the CurrentDomain.AssemblyResolve event so as to redirect the framework to my assemblies. The problem is that the when the framework tries to compile the dynamic assembly for the aspx page I get the following: Compiler Error Message: CS0400: The type or namespace name 'Pages' could not be found in the global namespace (are you missing an assembly reference?) Source Error: public class app_resource_pages__version_1_0_0_0__culture_neutral__publickeytoken_null_default_aspx : global::Pages._Default, System.Web.SessionState.IRequiresSessionState, System.Web.IHttpHandle I noticed that if I load the assembly with Assembly.Load(AssemblyName) or Assembly.LoadFrom(filename) I dont get the above error. If I load it with Assembly.Load(byte[]) (so as to not lock it), the exception is thrown but my AssemblyResolve handler, when called is returning the assembly correctly (it is called once). So I am guessing that it is called once when the framework parses the asp markup but not when it tries to create the dynamic assembly for the aspx page.

Hi all - when I look up the syntax for .data(), it gives examples like this: $('body').data('foo', 52); I am doing AJAX loads and I was wondering if it is possible to store the incoming html using .data() so once the content is loaded, I would not need to do another AJAX load if the same link is clicked again - I would check to see if the .data key is empty. In an ASP.NET web forms project that is not quite ready to be upgraded from 2.0 to 4.0 , there is a change that needs to be made to allow modifications to the HTML and BODY tags on the pages without adding runat=server to the tags which results in the 2.0 styled "ugly ids" like "ctrl_100..." For example, how could we change these using JavaScript, a Response Filter (the regex to find these specific tags would really help on this one), or something else...from: <html xmlns="//www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <body> To: <html lang="jp=JP" xmlns="//www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="rtl"> <body dir="rtl"> JavaScript seems like a possibility, but functions from the server-side could would determine the language and direction the page should have.

Hi all. Firstly, sorry for my English (I'm from China). By reading this article(http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2421719/how-to-apply-jquery-element-selection-to-a-string-variable), I can successfully get Elements from a String which stores HTML text. For example: var htmlstr = "<div><ul><li>some text 1</li></ul></div><div><ul id=list><li>some text 2</li></ul></div>"; var s = $('ul#list', $(htmlstr)).html(); s will be <li>some text 2</li>. It's what I want. But the question is, if I want to add another LI element to this string (htmlstr) how can I do? I set s = new html string but htmlstr doesn't change. Thanks

How can I create an http handler to redirect all traffic to HTML pages?

Our company would like to redirect all calls to html files on our server to a separate page. The html pages are NOT in an asp.net application. In order to do this, I've been writing and IIS Handler in asp.net. 1) Is this possible to add an IIS handler to redirect static content that isn't served by any asp.net engine, i.e. stand alone files on the server? 2) If it is possible, how do I do this? I created an http handler in a class library. In the app.config I added the handler to the and sections. I added the DLL to the GAC, I changed the html mapping to my custom IIS dll and nothing works. Is there a tutorial or explanation from A to B on how to do this? Thanks. E p.s. I'm using IIS 7.5
