In .net, is there a way to convert DateTime to past tense easily (built in function or 3rd party library): eg. 4 mins ago
Something similiar to how the date is on Stackoverflow.
(Mac)Vim seems to be picking up /usr/bin/python instead of the one that's at the front of my path (/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/bin/python) when I use the :python command. Is this entirely a compile-time thing or can I somehow override it?
Hello,
I'm working in a course's project to predict the velocity and position of the solar system planets (and other objects). It will be really cool if I can visualize the predicted objects data, if it's possible generating 3D images, if in video that's amazing.
Do you know any library that lets me to use this data to generate an image or video? (I don't care in which language)
Data:
- simulation step (time line step for a video)
- positions of the objects
- radius and/or colours of the objects
Thanks in advance, any suggestion is welcome.
Hi all!
I want to make an import script which allows users to upload their excel file (extension not important) to my php application. The application should reconize a list of items (so far so good). The difficulty in this case is that the excel files contain images...I've read information about phpexcel library but it does not say anything about images.
Anybody ideas?
Regards,
Marcel

I want to print or save gantt-chart(in pdf format). These charts are generated on web after a particular input. Our chart is a plug-in for Trac. I have used Genshi library to generate charts.
I'm porting to Android. My existing project has a ton of resource files that I'm porting into my Android project. I have them all in /res/raw/, and I would like to access those resources in my native library with functions such as fopen() and such. Can this be done, or do I have to go through JNI for this as well? I would really prefer not to, for ease of porting and possible speed and memory reasons.
Do I have to do anything special to avoid session hijacking using Kohana framework?
(Assuming the session is manipulated only with the Kohana Session library)
Thanks in advance
I want to use OpenSteer for my game that I want to be compatible with the Xbox 360. I have heard that since it is a wrapper for a C++ library, it will work in XNA on a PC, but not on the Xbox. Is there no way to make it compatible?
Hi,
For calling MS C# compiler there is CSharpCodeProvider (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.csharp.csharpcodeprovider.aspx)
but how do I call the Mono compiler?
I want to know if there was any errors after compilation.
I'm using the ruby-mysql library under JRuby and get the following warnings:
/mysql/protocol.rb:530 warning: GC.disable does nothing on JRuby
Is there any way to get JRuby to stop complaining about this?
hello
I would like to know if there is a difference in speed between computing hash value (for example std::map key) of primitive integral type, such as int64_t and pod type, for example struct { int16_t v[4]; };.
I know this is going to implementation specific, so my question ultimately pertains to gnu standard library.
Thanks
I'm looking for a Java library that will can take a PDF and create a thumbnail image (PNG) from the first page.
I've already looked at JPedal, but its insane licensing fee is completely prohibitive. I am using iText to manipulate PDF files at the moment, but I believe it doesn't do thumbnail generation. I can use something like Ghostscript on the command line, but I'm hoping to keep my project all-Java if possible.
I want to capture the responseXML that i have built in my jsp.
What should I do.
after that i will transform it in html.
I know this is annoying and we could do it with a framework or a library like jquery but i realize it with ajax.
Also i have problems with jquery and jsp\servlet since i must use a JSON SERVICE.
Why it seems to me that is so complicated.
Although iPhone support JSON natively, AMF is a binary protocol and it supposes to use much less bandwidth. Do you think using AMF is a good idea?
Just found this AMF library in cocoa (Objective-C): http://github.com/nesium/cocoa-amf/
I need to use a different datasource inside a map in Android than the google provided data. Is there a way to change the datasource to a tile based service (openstreetmap.org for example)?
Or are there other Android map APIs which are OpenSource and can be adapted (except Ericcson Mobile Maps - this doesn't work for me because of the licence)?
It doesent have to have a server side part - a rich function library would be enough.
Anyone knows the max size of Safari's 'Offline Application Cache' on the iPad & iPhone. Looks like it's 5MB. Is there any way to enlarge this size?
Offline application cache docs: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/SafariJSDatabaseGuide/OfflineApplicationCache/OfflineApplicationCache.html
Does Java have (or is there a library available) that allows me to have a disk based HashMap? It doesn't need to be atomic or anything, but it will be accessed via multiple threads and shouldn't crash if two are accessing the same element at the same time.
Anyone know of anything?
Hi, I have an application that sends you to one website that shows a login form.
I've read up on cookies from the apple reference (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/Foundation/Classes/NSHTTPCookie_Class/Reference/Reference.html#//apple_ref/occ/instm/NSHTTPCookie/initWithProperties:)
I'm honestly just not understanding this at all.
Can someone please explain how to get cookies working for an app? Post sample code?
Thanks.
I am reading the "Device Support - Setting Required Hardware Capabilities" on http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/AdvancedFeatures/AdvancedFeatures.html
I want to add still-camera capability by doing the following:
Open my Info.plist
Click +
Add UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities on the Key column
Add still-camera on the Value column
Save the updated Info.plist
Is this the correct way?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I've been developing some software which uses the libusb-win32 library to interact with some USB hardware I've been developing. Now I'm trying to run the same software on windows 64 but the drivers don't seem to work (understandably).
Are there any alternatives for 64 bit Windows I've overlooked?
Which .NET programming libaries do you use most ?

I'd like to be able to compile a C++ library so that it runs within a managed runtime in the CLR. There are several tools for doing this with the JVM (NestedVM, LLJVM, etc) but I can't seem to find any for the CLR. Has anyone tried doing this?
Can any one help with how to test sensor events like shake on Android Emulator.
I have found some posts pointing to openintents but can anyone explain how to use it in android 2.0 avd
http://code.google.com/p/openintents/wiki/SensorSimulator
This has some solution but while installing OpenIntents.apk on emulator gives missing library error.
