  • Is it possible to include JButton in a JTable?

    I have a JTable that stores the results of a database query, so far so good. What I want is for the last column in each table to have a clickible JButton that will open the edit screen for the object represented in that row, and that means the button will need to know the details of the first column in the table from its own row (the ID from the database). Any advice? I already tried just adding JButtons but they turned into Text when I tried to run it.

  • How do I get javascript-generated image maps to work with internet explorer?

    I'm using javascript to generate a high resolution grid for an image that I generated on a web server. The high-resolution grid is composed of a 'map' element with hundreds of 'area' child elements. Each 'area' element has onmouseover attribute that causes the display of a popup box. After assigning the map to the img (via the usemap attribute), Internet explorer ignores the 'onmouseover' attribute of the area elements that I added via javascript. The behavior is not caused by syntactical variations between IE and other browsers. A static map behaves correctly. Only the elements that I add dynamically to an existing image map fail to fire their corresponding mouse-over events.     Hi i couldn't find a single query that would give me in API 2.0 of the contacts API the URI of the contact's image and the display name. For now as far as i know i can create a uri by having the contact's _ID , but i didn't see any row name that i can use in the projection of Data or Contact to get all that i need. can anyone help ? (i refer to using API 2 of the contacts API on android SDK V5 and above ) 10x.

I went to php.net and look it up "Note: A MySQL connection is required before using mysql_real_escape_string() otherwise an error of level E_WARNING is generated, and FALSE is returned. If link_identifier isn't defined, the last MySQL connection is used." My questions are: 1-why they put single quotation around mysql_real_escape_string ? 2-They should establish a connection first, then use the $filter array statement with mysql_real_escape_string ?

I've tried various "vague" queries on the stream table, and so far I have been unable to get these types of events. Is this possible, or do I need to query the all of the other tables and write a ton of logic to try to figure out which new events to show and how to show them?

    I am trying to figure out how to do a mixed-join in LINQ with specific access to 2 LINQ objects. What am interested is the last two tables/objects in this query. I will be displaying Groups as a group header, and all of the Entries underneath their group heading. If there are no entries for a group, I still want to see that group as a header without any entries. There are 2 problems that I have not been able to solve: I still seem to be getting an INNER JOIN instead of a LEFT JOIN on the last join. I am not getting any empty results, so groups without entries do not appear. I need to figure out a way so that I can fill in the default values for blank sets of entries. That is, if there is a group without an entry, I would like to have a mostly blank entry returned, except that I'd want the EntryID to be null or 0, the GroupID to be that of of the empty group that it represents, and I'd need a handle on the entry.Group object (i.e. it's parent, empty Group object). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Note: Table names and real-world representation were derived purely for this example, but their relations simplify what I'm trying to do.

Is there a way to condense this up with something akin to an IN operator, e.g.: SELECT * FROM email WHERE email_address LIKE ('ajones@%', 'bsmith@%', 'cjohnson@%') Or is this just wishful thinking?
