    I am trying to implement this: an iPhone app will download user's emails(based on user settings) from the email server (e.g. gmail.com) through IMAP protocol.     Today I read that there is a software called WinCalibra (scroll a bit down) which can take a text file with properties as input. This program can then optimize the input properties based on the output values of your algorithm. See this paper or the user documentation for more information (see link above; sadly doc is a zipped exe). Do you know other software which can do the same which runs under Linux? (preferable Open Source)

  • VPATH in makefile issue.

    Hello, I have a question related to VPATH. I'm playing around with make files and the VPATH variable. Basically, I'm grabbing source files from a few different places (specified by the VPATH), and trying to compile them into the another directory ( $CURDIR/OBJ/ ) using simply a list of .o-files that I want. Can I create .o's in any another directory other than current dir when using VPATH??

    Ok so I'm making a "simple" web app using the technologies from the topic, recently I found http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/flex_hibernate.html so I'm following it and I try to apply it to my app, the only difference being I'm working on a Mac and I'm using MAMP for the database (so no command line for me). The thing is I'm having some trouble with retrieving/connecting to the database. I have the remoting-config.xml, persistance.xml, a News.java class (my Entity), a NewsService.java class, a News.as class - all just like in the tutorial. I have of course this line in one of my .mxmls: <mx:RemoteObject id="loaderService" destination="newsService" result="handleLoadResult(event)" fault="handleFault(event)" showBusyCursor="true" /> And my remoting-config.xml looks like this (well part of it): <destination id="newsService"> <properties><source>com.gamelist.news.NewsService</source></properties> </destination> NewsService has a method: public List<News> getLatestNews() { EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory(PERSISTENCE_UNIT); EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager(); Query findLatestQuery = em.createNamedQuery("news.findLatest"); List<News> news = findLatestQuery.getResultList(); return news; } And the named query is in the News class: @Entity @Table(name="GLT_NEWS") @NamedQueries({ @NamedQuery(name="news.findLatest", query="from GLT_NEWS order by new_date_added limit 5 ") }) The handledLoadResult looks like this: private function handleLoadResult(ev:ResultEvent):void { newsList = ev.result as ArrayCollection; newsRecords = newsList.length; } Where: [Bindable] private var newsList:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); But when I try to trigger: loaderService.getLatestNews(); nothing happens, newsList is empty. Basically the question is how am I suppose to debug this thing so I can find the mistake I'm making?     I use Delphi 2010 . I am useing twebbrowser to load up HTML source and view . Now I want to click on an area(Background, Links,etc) in the webbrowser and get the styling in the CSS file that styles the HTML. Example I click on the H3 region and I want to be taken to the h3{ color: white; } in the CSS. Any help at all is much appreciated this is hard for me to figure out.

  • How can I prevent PermGen space errors in Netbeans?

    Every 15-30 minutes Netbeans shows a "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space". From what I learned from Google this seems to be related to classloader leaks or memory leaks in general. Unfortunatly all suggestions I found were related to application servers and I have no idea to adapted them to Netbeans. (I'm not even sure it's the same problem) Is it a problem in my application? How can I find the source?

I know that in this sample scenario it would be easy to replace the GroupViewModel with a string an have it working, but that's not an option. So how can I bind the HeaderTemplate to the GroupViewModel?

  • Deploying ASP.Net web app with CruiseControl.Net and SVN -- getting rid of .svn folders

    I have a CruiseControl.Net project set up to build an ASP.Net project, using an <svn task to pull the latest code from source control. On a successful build, I use a <buildpublisher to copy the site to a deployment folder. My problem is that the buildpublisher is copying everything to the destination folder, including every .svn folder and its contents. What is the easiest way to strip out the .svn folders before copying to the deployment folder?

    Hi, I am working on wpf propertygrid(PG) control and I want the PG to support collection type(IList, ObservableCollection etc.) properties. I am bit confused on how to keep track of selected item(of that collection) and pass that to client. Any ideas? If the solution makes use of the Open Source WPF PropertyGrid (http://www.codeplex.com/wpg) I will implement the changes /additions back into the control.
