  • Dynamic Multiple Choice (Like a Wizard) - How would you design it? (e.g. Schema, AI model, etc.)

    This question can probably be broken up into multiple questions, but here goes... In essence, I'd like to allow users to type in what they would like to do and provide a wizard-like interface to ask for information which is missing to complete a requested query. For example, let's say a user types: "What is the weather like in Springfield?" We recognize the user is interested in weather, but it could be Springfield, Il or Springfield in another state. A follow-up question would be: What Springfield did you want weather for? 1 - Springfield, Il 2 - Springfield, Wi You can probably think of a million examples where a request is missing key data or its ambiguous. Make the assumption the gist of what the user wants can be understood, but there are missing pieces of data required to complete the request. Perhaps you can take it as far back as asking what the user wants to do and "leading" them to a query. This is not AI in the sense of taking any input and truly understanding it. I'm not referring to having some way to hold a conversation with a user. It's about inferring what a user wants, checking to see if there is an applicable service to be provided, identifying the inputs needed and overlaying that on top of what's missing from the request, then asking the user for the remaining information. That's it! :-) How would you want to store the information about services? How would you go about determining what was missing from the input data? My thoughts: Use regex expressions to identify clear pieces of information. These will be matched to the parameters of a service. Figure out which parameters do not have matching data and look up the associated question for those parameters. Ask those questions and capture answers. Re-run the service passing in the newly captured data. These would be more free-form questions. For multiple choice, identify the ambiguity and search for potential matches ranked in order of likelihood (add in user history/preferences to help decide). Provide the top 3 as choices.     Hello, Is it possible to create a filter in a Drupal 6 View that is only applied for registered users? For one filter I need I'm using the user vote (With fivestar and votingapi) to know if they user already voted this node or not, and when the user is annonymous, is working as if all the votes from all the annonymous users where from the same. This is why I need to add this filter, but ignore it in case the user is annonymous. Thanks a lot in advance for the help!

    Hi , i am doing one small application , wheich have login functionality, in the user table am maintaining the AVAILABLE status for the logged USER, example : i have three user called foo1,foo2,foo3 , When foo1 logged then his AVAILABLE STATUS WILL UPDATE AS 1 IN THE USERTABLE, if he logged out then his AVAILABLE STATUS goes to 0, like the foo2, and foo3 , for this available status flasg , amsimply using the update operation ..no other big functionality , Now What i want is, If somthing happened when user logged in , then i want to make the available status as 0, Somthing means , I WANT TO CHANGE THE AVAILABLE STATUS TO 0 , WHEN system CRASH OR browser crash Thanks Bharanikumar

    I have: a service running under user account domainA\userA on hostA from domainA SPNs created for the service running on hostA for user account domainA\userA a client part of my application is trying to access resources (through remoting) from the service running on hostA but this client part is running on hostB from domainB and under the user account domainB\userB appropriate delegation settings are done for user account domainA\userA trusted for delegation SPNs set properly with no duplicates domainA and domainB have two way trust I get this error: A secuity package specific error occured: Unspecified error (0x80004005) Could you please see if there is any authentication setting I missed?

This is based off a report built in SQL Server Report Builder, where the user can specify multiple text values as a single report parameter. The query for the report grabs all of the values the user selected and stores them in a single variable.     Hi. A quicky: is there a way to dismiss the keyboard and the searchDisplayController without animation? I was able to do it when the user presses "Cancel", but when the user presses the black "window thingy" above search field (only visible while the user hasn't inserted any text), the animation always occurs, even when I change the delegate functions. Is there a way to control this, or as an alternative, to disable the user to end searching by pressing the black window? Thanks in advance.

    Here's the scenario: Many users access an application (running on tomcat), the user's data is segmented into multiple databases, say each db containing 1000 user's data. Now is it somehow possible to have 100s of tomcat servers running on 'inexpensive' PC class machines with each connecting to a single db, with user's session getting passed to appropriate tomcat and becoming 'Sticky' there. Can have some sort of 'gateway' deciding which user goes where and doing the load-balancing appropriately. Would make a great scalability solution :)
