  I have a c# windows service that needs to execute a database query every 60 seconds (or whatever interval is set in the config file). I'm using Thread.sleep(60) in a while loop to accomplish this. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks

  Hello, i got a server running windows server 2008, and i got a user which everyone can connect to via Remote desktop! when 2 users a are logged to the user, it's fine. but when the 3 is logged on, it says one of the other 2 should loggoff! my question is, how i disable the limitation of concurrent logons to a single users?   We're approaching a point of replacing several of our developer PCs and would like to move up to 64-Bit to maximize the hardware/life of the PCs but we also need to support several legacy VB6 applications. That said, does the VB6 IDE run on Windows 7 64-bit? Microsoft says it's not supported, but that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't work. Does it work? Are there any pitfalls/workarounds needed to get it running?

How do I go about doing this?

  I'm essentially looking to monitor a USB port input for whatever happens when the optical mouse detects its own movement and turns itself on. These mice usually have a dim red light when in "standby" mode and then the red light becomes brighter once you start moving it around. I want to use Visual Basic or something else native to the Windows environment to open an exe file or play a wav sound or call a bat file when the mouse "wakes up". Any suggestions or pushes in the right direction are appreciated.

That file is located in C:\Program Files\ under 32-bit systems or C:\Program FIles (x86)\ under x64 systems. I can write: "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\file.exe" under 64bit systems or "%ProgramFiles%\file.exe" under 32bit systems but I want to make the script universal. Is there any way of determining that path universally?
