  • Adding Parsekit To An Xcode Project

    - by Garry
I am trying to add the Parsekit framework to my OSX Xcode project. I've never added a 3rd party framework before and I can't get it to work right. I dragged the included Xcode project into my 'Groups & Files' pane and chose to Add it to my project. I then dragged Parsekit.framework underneath the Link Binary With Libraries heading. Then I double-clicked my target app and added Parsekit as a Direct Dependency. I also added libicucore.dylib as a Linked Library (as it says to do this on their site). Finally, in the Build settings tab of my target info I set the Header Search Paths to /Users/path/to/include/directory and the Other Linker Flags to -ObjC -all_load. Running this as a debug build work fine with no errors. However, when I build my app to release and then try to run the executable created, the app fails to load with the following error message: MyApp cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure myApp works with this version of Mac OS X. Here is the dump from the crash reporter: Process: MyApp [11658] Path: /Users/Garry/Programming/Xcode/Mac/MyApp/build/Release/MyApp.app/Contents/MacOS/MyApp Identifier: com.yourcompany.MyApp Version: ??? • How to deserialize an object with pyYaml using safe_load?

    - by systempuntoout
Having a snippet like this: import yaml class User(object): def __init__(self, name, surname): self.name= name self.surname= surname user = User('spam', 'eggs') serialized_user = yaml.dump(user) #Network deserialized_user = yaml.load(serialized_user) print "name: %s, sname: %s" % (deserialized_user.name, deserialized_user.surname) Yaml docs says that it is not safe to call yaml.load with any data received from an untrusted source; so, what do i need to modify to my snippet\class to use safe_load method? Is it possible?

  • What is SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress used for?

    - by Hemant
I used to think that using SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress, I can reuse a port that is in TIME_WAIT state. But I tried to experiment with it and it seems it has no effect. If I check sockets using netstat, and it shows the socket is in TIME_WAIT state and I immediately run the client again, I get the exception: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted 172.16.16.16:12345 I cannot make anything out of it. Please can you elaborate what SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress is good for?

asp website with access database freezes for 30-60 seconds intermittently. The site is on an internal 2008 server. About 25 users access the site simultaneously. Is it just the limits of access or can i do something to improve the situation? change any timeout/refresh settings anywhere? or could it be a problem with the network?

  • In XMLHttpRequest, where is error flag variable?

    - by Tiangolo
In the XMLHttpRequest Spec it says that: The DONE state has an associated error flag that indicates some type of network error or abortion. It can be either true or false and has an initial value of false. Also says something similar about a "send() flag" in an "OPENED" state. It's said in the specification but not in the IDL and when I create a new XMLHttpRequest I can't find those "flags". Where are those boolean variables?

  • Discovery of web services using Python

    - by chrissygormley
Hello, I have several devices on a network. I am trying to use a library to discover the presence and itentity of these devices using Python script, the devices all have a web service. My question is, are there any modules that would help me with this problem as the only module I have found is ws-discovery for Python? And if this is the only module does anyone have any example Python script using ws-discovery? Thanks for any help.

  • Sending multiline message via sockets without closing the connection

    - by Yasir Arsanukaev
Hello folks. Currently I have this code of my client-side Haskell application: import Network.Socket import Network.BSD import System.IO hiding (hPutStr, hPutStrLn, hGetLine, hGetContents) import System.IO.UTF8 connectserver :: HostName -- ^ Remote hostname, or localhost -> String -- ^ Port number or name -> IO Handle connectserver hostname port = withSocketsDo $ do -- withSocketsDo is required on Windows -- Look up the hostname and port. Either raises an exception -- or returns a nonempty list. First element in that list -- is supposed to be the best option. addrinfos <- getAddrInfo Nothing (Just hostname) (Just port) let serveraddr = head addrinfos -- Establish a socket for communication sock <- socket (addrFamily serveraddr) Stream defaultProtocol -- Mark the socket for keep-alive handling since it may be idle -- for long periods of time setSocketOption sock KeepAlive 1 -- Connect to server connect sock (addrAddress serveraddr) -- Make a Handle out of it for convenience h <- socketToHandle sock ReadWriteMode -- Were going to set buffering to LineBuffering and then -- explicitly call hFlush after each message, below, so that -- messages get logged immediately hSetBuffering h LineBuffering return h sendid :: Handle -> String -> IO String sendid h id = do hPutStr h id -- Make sure that we send data immediately hFlush h -- Retrieve results hGetLine h The code portions in connectserver are from this chapter of Real World Haskell book where they say: When dealing with TCP data, it's often convenient to convert a socket into a Haskell Handle. We do so here, and explicitly set the buffering – an important point for TCP communication. Next, we set up lazy reading from the socket's Handle. For each incoming line, we pass it to handle. After there is no more data – because the remote end has closed the socket – we output a message about that. Since hGetContents blocks until the server closes the socket on the other side, I used hGetLine instead. It satisfied me before I decided to implement multiline output to client. I wouldn't like the server to close a socket every time it finishes sending multiline text. The only simple idea I have at the moment is to count the number of linefeeds and stop reading lines after two subsequent linefeeds. Do you have any better suggestions? Thanks.

Voxeo provide a free IVR for development purposes, but I was wondering if there is a much simpler form of test IVR, perhaps which runs on the local machine and uses your microphone and speakers instead of the telephony network?

  • JavaScript - Why does google-maps wait until jquery finishes download?

    - by Teddyk
I'm using the following Google Maps autload (asynchronous) to load asynchronous both Google Maps v3 and JQuery, like so: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/jsapi?autoload={ "modules":[ {name:"maps",version:3,other_params:"sensor=false"},{"name":"jquery","version":"1.4.2"},{"name":"jqueryui","version":"1.8.1"} ]}"></script> However, looking at the network traffic, it appears that it is not downloading asynchronously. Question: Does anyone understand why the %7Bcommon (google-maps) file is being delayed from download until the jquery-ui.min file completes download first?

  • How do I get ELMAH to work with SQL Server (permission problems)

    - by Gary McGill
I've got ELMAH working on my (Cassini) development server, and was quite happy with it, but now that I'm trying to move everything to my production server (IIS7), the honeymoon looks like being over. I've got past the "gotcha" with IIS7, which frankly could have been better highlighted in the documentation, and if I just use the in-memory log then it works. However, I'm trying to get it to use the SQL Server log (as I do on my development system), and I'm getting an error along the lines of: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object ELMAH_GetErrorsXml Well, fine. I know how to grant database permissions, but I'm really struggling to understand which user and which stored procs/tables I need to grant access to. The thing that's really confusing me is that I didn't have to do anything like this to get it to work on my development server. The only difference I can see is that on my development server it seems to connect as NT AUTHORITY\IUSR, whereas on my production server it seems to connect as NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. (It's just using a trusted connection so I've not explicitly configured it to do that - I presume it's to do with the web server). UPDATE: I've since established that because I'm using Cassini, it was actually logging in as me (an admin) and not IUSR, which explains why I didn't get any permission problems. On my development server, the IUSR account is a member of the public database role, and has access to the required database (again as "public"). There's no explicit granting of object-level permissions. [See update above - this is irrelevant]. On my production server, I've added NETWORK SERVICE in exactly the same way (public database role, explicit access to the database as "public"). Yet, I get this permission error. Why?!! [See update above - the only reason I don't get a permission error is because I'm running as an admin]. And, of course, if the fact that it works locally is just "luck", I will need to know which SPs/tables to grant access to. My guess would be all 3 SPs and not the table, but it would be good (again) to see some documentation that makes this explicit.
