    i have a datasheet that looks like this: ID name_ 1 2 3 4 1 name1 x 0 0 0 2 name2 0 x 0 0 3 name3 0 0 x 0 4 name4 0 0 0 x i have rectangles on a report that correspond to this datasheet. when the report opens, i need the rectangles to be colored RED according to the data. for example where name1 and there is an x in the 1 column, i need the specific rectangle corresponding to this (name1, 1) to be colored red. here is the result that i will need: x x x x (where x is a rectangle that is RED) perhaps the best place to place this code would be in ON LOAD event of the report, but i am not sure exactly. can you please suggest to me some code that would turn the specified rectangles RED according to the data?

  • Setting a DataGrid background color based on the previous row

    I'm trying to setup a grid where I do column sorting, but I wanted to do zebra striping, only rather than every other row or every x rows, I want it to be based on the value of cells. i.e. All cells that contain 0 have a blue background, the next value would have a white background, the next value would be blue, etc.... The problem I have is that I can't seem to find where to actually do the setting of the background colors. I'm using a custom sorter and I tried setting it in there after I re-order the list and set the data source, but it appears that when the data source is set, that the rows don't exist yet. I tried using the DataContextChanged, but that event doesn't seem to be firing.     I have to modify some code and the previous developer left this comment: color: color, // e.g. '#RRGGBBFF' - Last 2 digits are alpha information On the page there is a color picker that let's the user change text color. It gives HEX values like so: #RRGGBB And there is a slider that allows the user to change a text's transparency. It runs from 0.1 to 1 Somehow I need to get a 2 digit letter from this transparency amount and append it to the HEX value for it to work. Does anyone know how to append Alpga information to HEX color codes? What is the math formula for it? I guess the question can also be answered if anyone knows how to concert RGBA color values with transparency into HEX: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.6)

  • Color banding only on Android 4.0+

    On emulators running Android 4.0 or 4.0.3, I am seeing horrible colour banding which I can't seem to get rid of. On every other Android version I have tested, gradients look smooth. I have a SurfaceView which is configured as RGBX_8888, and the banding is not present in the rendered canvas. If I manually dither the image by overlaying a noise pattern at the end of rendering I can make the gradients smooth again, though obviously at a cost to performance which I'd rather avoid. So the banding is being introduced later. I can only assume that, on 4.0+, my SurfaceView is being quantized to a lower bit-depth at some point between it being drawn and being displayed, and I can see from a screen capture that gradients are stepping 8 values at a time in each channel, suggesting a quantization to 555 (not 565). I added the following to my Activity onCreate function, but it made no difference. getWindow().setFormat(PixelFormat.RGBA_8888); getWindow().addFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_DITHER); I also tried putting the above in onAttachedToWindow() instead, but there was still no change. (I believe that RGBA_8888 is the default window format anyway for 2.2 and above, so it's little surprise that explicitly setting that format has no effect on 4.0+.) Which leaves the question, if the source is 8888 and the destination is 8888, what is introducing the quantization/banding and why does it only appear on 4.0+? Very puzzling. I wonder if anyone can shed some light?

  • jQuery slider - set background color to show desired range

    Howdy, I'm setting up a Filament Group jQuery UI slider and using it in a gradebook. We need to allow teachers to set a desired background range (to show the desirable values vs. the actual value for a given grade). I'm hoping to set a shaded area (as shown in this picture) that would indicate to people viewing the slider which values are desirable. If the handle is within the desired ranges, then the value is satisfactory. If the handle is out of the background shaded range, then some changes may need to happen. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Based on what I've experimented with using Firebug, it looks like a <div class="ui-slider"> is setup, but the values inside of it don't seem to allow setting background-colors (only the div allows for that). Thanks for your help.

  • I'm looking for a blend mode that gives 'realistic' paint colors. (Subtractive)

    I've been looking for a blend mode to (well ...) blend two RGB pixels in order to build colors in the samw way that a painter builds them (i.e: subtractive). Here are quick examples of the type of results that I'm expecting: CYAN + MAGENTA = BLUE CYAN + YELLOW = GREEN MAGENTA + YELLOW = RED RED + YELLOW = ORANGE RED + BLUE = PURPLE YELLOW + BLUE = GREEN I'm looking for a formula, like: dest_red = first_red + second_red; dest_green = first_green + second_green; dest_blue = first_blue + second_blue; I've tried with the commonly used 'multiply' formula but it doesn't work; I've tried with custom made formulas but I'm still not able to 'crack' how it should work. But with the currentandroid:layout_height="fill_parent"in main.xml my background is overwriting the tabs which means I am unable to see tabs. and If I makeandroid:layout_height="wrap_content"` I cannot see any change taking and tabs are still their. Please help.

  • Blurry UILabel as programmatic subview of UITableViewCell contentView

    I am adding a UILabel instance as a subview of my custom UITableViewCell instance's contentView. When I select the cell, the row is highlighted blue, except for the background of the label. The label text is sharp. When I set the label and content view backgroundColor property to [UIColor clearColor], the label text becomes blurry. How do I set the label background color to be clear, to allow the row highlight to come through, while still keeping the label text sharp? One suggestion I read elsewhere was to round the label's frame values, but this did not have any effect.     Hi everyone: I met a problem on using camera by scratch on iphone. Other people's code just run fine on my 3GS. But my code doesn't. I have called (gdb) po UIImagePNGRepresentation(image) right after setImage and stuffed the output into a file. The file is a perfect png. Has anyone experienced the same?   • How to convert a 32bpp image to an indexed format?

    So here are the details (I am using C# BTW): I receive a 32bpp image (JPEG compressed) from a server. At some point, I would like to use the Palette property of a bitmap to color over-saturated pixels (brightness 240) red. To do so, I need to get the image into an indexed format. I have tried converting the image to a GIF, but I get quality loss. I have tried creating a new bitmap in an index format by these methods: // causes a "Parameter not valid" error Bitmap indexed = new Bitmap(orig.Width, orig.Height, PixelFormat.Indexed) // no error, but the resulting image is black due to information loss I assume Bitmap indexed = new Bitmap(orig.Width, orig.Height, PixelFormat.Format8bppIndexed) I am at a loss now. The data in this image is changed constantly by the user, so I don't want to manually set pixels that have a brightness 240 if I can avoid it. If I can set the palette once when the image is created, my work is done. If I am going about this the wrong way to begin with please let me know. EDIT: Thanks guys, here is some more detail on what I am attempting to accomplish. We are scanning a tissue slide at high resolution (pathology application). I write the interface to the actual scanner. We use a line-scan camera. To test the line rate of the camera, the user scans a very small portion and looks at the image. The image is displayed next to a track bar. When the user moves the track bar (adjusting line rate), I change the overall intensity of the image in an attempt to model what it would look like at the new line rate. I do this using an ImageAttributes and ColorMatrix object currently. When the user adjusts the track bar, I adjust the matrix. This does not give me per pixel information, but the performance is very nice. I could use LockBits and some unsafe code here, but I would rather not rewrite it if possible. When the new image is created, I would like for all pixels with a brightness value of 240 to be colored red. I was thinking that defining a palette for the bitmap up front would be a clean way of doing this.
