  • Some Can reach bidmail.com others can't.

    On a windows 7 Professional machine in Chrome one of our Estimating assistants can't get to www.bidmail.com, however the other 3 can. On his machine I did nslookup then bidmail.com and it fails to find it. I then went to a machine that could reach bidmail and did nslookup. It can't find it. I was skeptical and thought maybe it was a cached page so I cleared the cache then went back to bidmail.com was able to get to the page, login, lookup a newly posted bid then download the file. Yet I can not look it up through nslookup and I can't ping it www.bidmail.com and I can't trace it. I remoted to our other warehouse which is set up as a workgroup and attempt to nslookup bidmail and that nslookup fail... and on that machine which has never been to bidmail before it was able to connect to the website! I am totally confused if I can't ping it and I can't use nslookup to get there how in the hell is Chrome getting to the page and how do I get this guy back on? Also while typing this I took a new laptop out of the box plugged it in with no updates and can get to bidmail! omg!

(GMail to be exact) About 1 month ago, we had a security breach, and mail was relayed through our servers. we got listed in almost ALL Black-Lists :( we fixed the problem, and requested removal from Black-lists, which was granted easily. currently (over 3 weeks), we are not sending any spam anymore. furthermore, we got clear from all the Black-lists (MxToolBox Black-List Search Result) But, GMail still refuse to get Anything from the server, stating '550 Spam'.   • How to set up a PRIVATE vimwiki on Dropbox.com

    Hi everyone, I assume those who are reading this page know what vimwiki and dropbox.com are and what they are for, so I might directly go into my confusion. The common way of setting a PRIVATE vimwiki on dropbox is simply let your vimwiki directories be under Dropbox folder (but not Dropbox/Public/ because it would be PUBLIC). Dropbox allows directly viewing html with dropbox.com/* url: for example a index.html can be accessed by url https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Wiki/html/index.html?w=bfead71a, being added after the file name a specified string, ?w=bfead71a. Hence, if inside index.html there is reference to A.html, which is located in the same folder index.html is in, it has to be accessed using some url like https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Wiki/html/index.html?w=SPECIFIED_STRING. But it is seemingly impossible to hack vimwiki in order to make the hrefs in converted htmls corrected in this way. Is there some approach that can resolve this problem? I hope I make myself clear.     Hi, I'm working on establishing interoperability between .NET WCF 3.5 and Axis2/Rampart using ADFS2 as the STS and using SAML authentication. Initially I used Axis 1.4.1/Rampart 1.4 but in an attempt to rule out issues relating to WS-* standards compatbility have also created a duplicate environment running Axis 1.5.1/Rampart 1.5. Both envionment use Eclipse 3.5.1 (Galileo)/Tomcat 5.5 for the Java service side. My objective is: WCF-ADFS2-SAML token-Axis2/Rampart Using Kerberos authentication to obtain a SAML token from ADFS2 and propagating this to Rampart.   • LDAP Structure: dc=example,dc=com vs o=Example

    I am relatively new to LDAP, and have seen two types of examples of how to set up your structure. One method is to have the base being: dc=example,dc=com while other examples have the base being o=Example. Continuing along, you can have a group looking like: dn: cn=team,ou=Group,dc=example,dc=com cn: team objectClass: posixGroup memberUid: user1 memberUid: user2 ... or using the "O" style: dn: cn=team, o=Example objectClass: posixGroup memberUid: user1 memberUid: user2 My questions are: Are there any best practices that dictate using one method over the other? Is it just a matter of preference which style you use? Are there any advantages to using one over the other? Is one method the old style, and one the new-and-improved version? So far, I have gone with the dc=example,dc=com style. Any advice the community could give on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • Slow performance when utilizing Interop.DSOFile to search files by Custom Document Property

    I am new to the world of VB.NET and have been tasked to put together a little program to search a directory of about 2000 Excel spreadsheets and put together a list to display based on the value of a Custom Document Property within that spreadsheet file. Given that I am far from a computer programmer by education or trade, this has been an adventure. I've gotten it to work, the results are fine. The problem is, it takes well over a minute to run. It is being run over a LAN connection. When I run it locally (using a 'test' directory of about 300 files) it executes in about 4 seconds. I'm not sure even what to expect as a reasonable execution speed, so I thought I would ask here. The code is below, if anyone thinks changes there might be of use in speeding things up.     Problem I have 3 tables: People, Phones and Emails. Each person has an UNIQUE ID, and each person can have multiple numbers or multiple emails. Because seen from the example above: Steven has 2 phone number and 3 emails.     back when I was not working with programming (using skills from courses and school) I started developing a simple program that is supposed to get the Artwork of the album to which the song you're currently listening in iTunes to and set it as you Display Picture in MSN Messenger (everything had to be open at the same time). I was so excited about it, made it as nicely as I could back then (now I consider it a design and usability complete fail), and it surprisingly worked. Now, a couple of versions ahead (MSN from 8.5 to 9.0, iTunes from 8 to 9, and windows from Vista to 7) I am getting some incompatibility issues. Where I work, I use Windows 7, Windows Live Messenger 2009 and iTunes 9 - it works just just like before, but at home I have the same exact setup, but something weird happens: When I open the program (having my itunes AND msn open) it doesn't use the active MSN instance, instead it opens a new one, and doesn't work even on this opened one. I've tried it with a couple of libraries: Interop.Messenger.dll - workis like described above Interop.MessengerAPI.dll - works like described above Interop.MessengerPrivate.dll - never worked MSNMessenger.dll - the one I used before - doesn't work anymore at all What could I do ? I tried forcing an app.Calculate() or app.CalculateFullRebuild() but nothing updates in the other application. The change event does not get fired when formulas change (i.e. a slider control causes a SheetCalculate event and not a SheetChange event) Is there a way to see what formulas were updated? Or is there an easier way to sync two workbooks programmatically in real time?

  • Google Chrome calling nypost.com every ~5 seconds

    I'm using Chrome 21.0.1180.49 beta on Mac OS X 10.7.4. Did some Googling and can't figure this out. I visited a page on nypost.com earlier this morning. Just noticed that Little Snitch is reporting that nypost.com is being called every 4-6 seconds or so. I closed the tab after reading the story, a few hours ago. I created a rule in Little Snitch denying access to nypost.com, but Chrome is apparently still connecting to it. (1) Why? and (2) How can I put an end to this? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

    I need to change www.myhost.com:8080/myproject-war to www.myhost.com. This is what I try. In admin console in Glassfish 3.0.1, I create a http-listener-3 with port 9090 and address 0.0.0.0 (I want to have port 80, but got access-denied or some sort). I then create a virtual server call scholar, with Id=scholar, Hosts=${com.sun.aas.hostName}, Network Listeners: http-listener-3, Default Web Module=project#project-war.war(it is the only option from the drop down list since I only deploy 1 app). Then under Applications, I set the virtual server of the application to be scholar. Save and restart. I try localhost:9090, and expecting that it will load my project like as if I type localhost:9090/project-war. But it does not. I already set the Default Web Module, to be the project, why doesnt it load the project by default?

    this should be a relatively simple problem but I'm having trouble.I hope this is the right forum to post on as I've seen people get booted off stack-overflow for this sort of thing. I've setup a web app on heroku (cedar stack) at my-web-app.herokuapp.com and I'm trying to direct my-domain.com and www.my-domain.com to it. As per instructions on the heroku documentation, I've set my-domain.com to redirect (forwarding) to www.my-domain.com and then set a C-Name from www.my-domain.com to my-web-app.herokuapp.com. But the C-Name doesn't seem to be working right and is sending back to my-domain.com, causing a loop and I can't work out why. I first configured these setting at GoDaddy.com where I registered the domain but then tried to avoid the problem by using Heroku's Zerigo DNS add-on, setting the nameservers on GoDaddy to the ones given for Zerigo. However the problem remains.   • my domain.com is pointing to two different IP addresses

    Initially my domain , mycompany.com points to this IP: - 123.456.789.101 (sample only) Then i got another VPS and then decided to move the mycompany.com into this new IP/Host: - 987-654-123.123 (sample only) I changed the necessary stuff like DNS, etc. from my domain management panel. But when i ping it : ping mycompany.com , sometimes it gives the first IP, sometimes the second one. Also when i visit the url from the browser, sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't. How can i solve this? Please help. Thanks

    I have two domains, example.com and example.co.uk, that use the same application on my server. I would like to rewrite the address of the URL depending on what the user types in. The only URLs I want are https://www.example.com and https://www.example.co.uk In my .htaccess file I have the following: # Turn on URL rewriting RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.co.uk$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.example.co.uk/$1 [L,R=301] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.example.com/$1 [L,R=301] If I goto http://www.example.com it doesn't add the https, if I goto http://example.com it does. What is the best way of making the ReWriteCond match the www url?

  • Able to send, but not receive from gmail.com within Outlook 2003 (0x800CCC0F)

    In my home network, I'm able to access my @gmail.com and @otherdomain.com accounts via POP3 from Outlook 2003. When accessing from my office network, I'm not able to receive, but am able to send. I get the following error: Task 'myaccount@gmail.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' The POP3 is set to 995 (using SSL), SMTP to 465 (using SSL), Logon using SPA is NOT enabled. There is NO change I make on my system from the office to home network, except my local, internal IP address changes.
