    If i have the xml/html data to post we need to encode the data to avoid the XSS validation. So should we use HTMLencode or URI encoding for this. If URI encoding is used will it cause issues as form POST automatically URI encode all the data before sending.

  • Is html font size using em still important

    In a web LOB web based SaaS product we are developing that we explicitly not support IE 6, only IE7/8, FF 3, Chrome, Opera, WebKit etc... which allow px resize as standard, is it still important to use em rather than px? Its a lot more work to consider the compute font size (size em are computed from their inheritance chain) especially when nesting html reuse components where a font-size has already been specified in an outer container.

  • pdflatex document to html

    I need to convert a bunch of pdflatex only documents (because of graphics-- .pdf's jpgs & pngs) to html. tex4ht is giving a bunch of garbage output. the documents are built using the \input command. Is there anything I can do to help tex4ht with a pdflatex document? I've looked at many converters (pandoc, hevea, tth, latex2rtf) but none of them can include my figures well. Is tex4ht my best bet?

To be a bit more clear here, my application has to do the conversion automatically at runtime. I don't look for a tool that helps me to move some pages to XHTML manually.

    Hi, I currently have the following MySQL statement to replace the HTML entity for a single quote with an actual single quote: update photo_galleries replace(title, '&#39;', '\''); This statement returns an error.     Does anyone know a cross-browser CSS/Javascript technique to display a long html table such that the column headers stay fixed on-screen and do not scroll with the table body. Think of the "freeze panes" effect in excel. I want to be able to scroll through the contents of the table, but to always be able to see the column headers at the top.
