  • Mobile phone - configuration via SMS

    In Germany, mobile carriers often provide a simple way to configure your mobile phone for MMS and GPRS: After keying in your phone number and device model on the carrier's website, you get a "configuration sms" sent to you. I'm trying to understand how that works from a technical standpoint. I have scanned through 3GPP TS 03.40 (http://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Specs/html-info/0340.htm), but haven't been able to find much. Also, the fact that one has to provide the phone model indicates that it is a provider specific thing and not standardized? Does anyone have any pointers for me? Also I'd be interested how the "internet-enabling" process looks like in other countries. Anyone care to share?

    I work with a Panasonic hcm280a camera that can be controlled by my software, It generates a stream of jpeg files that are huge and I want to convert this stream to a FLV stream preferably with a good compressional ration Does FFMpeg do that? I am basically looking for an off the shelve open source software (or commercial software) that can generate that streaming media for me.   • How do you setup the Audio plugin for Flowplayer?

    I'm having a bit of trouble getting the Audio player to work. Basically I want to initiate an mp3 player doing something like this <a href="path-to-my-audio.mp3" id="player" ></a> and then use the $f() call to initate the player. I've followed the instructions here (http://flowplayer.org/plugins/streaming/audio.html) This doesnt seem to be work and I'm not sure what's wrong because I'm able to play videos in this way.   • Silverlight changes the io.Stream to byte[]

    I have created a WCF service for uploading images , which accepts System.IO.Stream as input parameter and am using streaming. When I added the service reference in Silverlight project then it automatically changed the parameter of my WCF method from System.IO.Stream to byte[]. Can anyone suggest if there is a way around this so that I can get System.IO.Stream type rather than byte[]. Thanks in advance

Is there a codec engine that can be embedded with the app itself that can play .ogg instead of .mp3?     Generally speaking, for combining a lot of data is it better to use a temp table/temp variable as a staging area or should I just stick to "UNION ALL"? Assumptions: No further processing is needed, the results are sent directly to the client. The client waits for the complete recordset, so streaming results isn't necessary.

  • Building MobileVLCKit from git.videolan.org repository on macOsX with XCode

    I would like to make an application for iOS(iPhone and iPad) that can play streaming videos through RTSP protocol (that includes mms). I imagined to achive a specified application using VLC player or libVLC library. On the official vlc git repository (http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git;a=tree) in projects/macosx/framework/ folder there is xcode project MobileVLCKit.xcodeproj for which I assume that is a somewhat usable VLC framework for iOS. Now the problem is that I can't/don't know how to build this project. When I try to build MobileVLCKit.xcodeproj I get an error that says it can't find files inside extras/contrib/hosts/i686-apple-darwin10/ios/ folder. I have looked within that folder (extras/contrib) and managed to create folder (with files) extras/contrib/hosts/i686-apple-darwin10/ with make, but there is no ios folder. So, does anybody knows how to successfully build MobileVLCKit?

  • Android 2.3.3 - Messages: Wrong Status Information in the Conversation Overview

    On my HTC Desire Z with Android 2.3.3 I get from time to time the problem, that the status information ist wrong. That means status information says, that there is an unread, unsent or failed SMS, but this SMS is already deleted. Does anybody know, where I can reset this information? It must be stored anywhere in ContentResolver of content://mms-sms/conversations or content://sms/conversations on the thread-level, but I have no idea. Example: After I deleted a number of failed SMS in the non delivered SMS overview, the status of non delivered SMS was not reset in the Messages conversation overview though in each conversation there wasn't any undelivered SMS left.
