• Using Selenium, how can I test a web UI that returns XML instead of HTML?

  I'm using Selenium to unit test my Perl cgi script and all works fine except in one case where my cgi script returns XML content to the web browser instead of returning HTML content. I'm new to Selenium and only pasted in their sample script to get started, but I can't seem to find a Selenium command in any of the documentation that will recognize that my XML response has been returned. The Selenium commands seem to assume that an HTML page is always being returned.

• iPhone: Prevent View from Rotation

  Hi, I use a UITabBarController with 4 views. The first of those 4 views should be able to rotate, the other three not. And now the problem is, when having a tab bar controller you have to set all used views to rotatable (i.e. returning TRUE in shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation). So, my question is now, can I prevent the three views from rotation even though the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation method returns TRUE? Thanks for your help. Regards Matthias

  Hi I was wondering if there is any jquery function around which can take this dateTime "2010-10-18 10:06" and convert and split it returning "2010/10/18" and "10:06". It would be also nice if the same function could either receive "2010-10-18 10:06" or "2010-10-18" only and return as mentioned above, or different formats besides "2010/10/18" like 18-10-2010" or and 18th of October 2010, giving the option but not that important, just curious about jQuery power dealing with dates. • CustomValidator, pagemethods and JQuery what fun

  Hey all, I have a CustomValidator, RequiredFieldValidator and ValidationSummary controls on an aspx page to check the current password and make sure the new password is not blank. When I click submit I get the js alert() box from the summary control telling me about just the RequiredFieldValidator being false, but the client script for the CustomValidator does not seem to get its return value used. I have checked the "arguments.IsValid" value using FireBug, so it is getting called and returning the correct bool, but it never shows up in the val summary box? Thanks, Goosey

  I am getting still over and over again this error, the column age has the type integer, I am saving into this column integer-value, I also tried to don't save nothing into this column, but still getting this error...   Our server returns a custom 'X-Execution-Time' HTTP response header that returns in miliseconds the time between the server getting a request and our code returning a page, ie how long our code takes to run. I'm using JMeter to do some testing & I'd like to be able to report on this number of over time. I've setup this regular expression extractor: X-Execution-Time:\s(\d+) but I don't know how to get JMeter to report on this number per request so i can get a trend over time
