  • Need to check uptime on a large file being hosted

    I have a dynamically generated rss feed that is about 150M in size (don't ask) The problem is that it keeps crapping out sporadically and there is no way to monitor it without downloading the entire feed to get a 200 status. Pingdom times out on it and returns a 'down' error. So my question is, how do I check that this thing is up and running

  • PHP script works fine until I send it a parameter from HTTPService in Flash Builder 4?

    I'm using a PHP script to read an RSS feed in my Flex 4 app. The script works when I put the url of the feed in the actual script, but I can't get it to work when I try to send the URL as a parameter from a HTTPService in Flex. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?     I have a SharePoint list that accepts incoming email and has two calculated columns based on the Email Subject. Immediate alerts, RSS etc all work fine but the Weekly Summary Alert has #VALUE! for all the calculated columns. Is there a reason for this? Can I get it to show that actual calculated value?

    Hey, I’m parsing a twitter rss feed, and I just need to show tweets, so I don't need MGTwitterEngine. I have already set it up so I can see the complete tweet, the only thing I want it to colorize hashtags and urls. So I would need to slice up the string in different substrings, colorize the hashtags and urls and glue it together in various UILabels Is there an easier way to accomplish this? In short I need some parts of a string colored differently than others.

    Hello I've been trying to parse a UTF-16 encoded xml file in Ruby (1.8.7), and I can't seem to find how to do it by searching (google and stack overflow) Here's the xml file url: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/feeds/playout/triplejsydneyplayout.xml?_5366 Getting the xml string from Net::HTTP and passing it to REXML, then calling logger.info xmlDoc.inspect produces: <UNDEFINED> ... </> Any ideas? Each comment can have a List of replies which are also type Comment. Now it is very easy for me to delete the original comment and get the updated list back. All I need to do after delete is this. allComments = myEJB.getAllComments(); //This will query the db and return updated list But I am having problem when trying to delete replies and getting the updated list back. So here is how I delete the replies. Inside my managed bean I have //Before invoke this method, I have the value of originalFeed, and deletedFeed set. //These original comments are display inside a p:dataTable X, and the replies are //displayed inside p:dataTable Y which is inside X. Java's pattern matcher doesn't seem to accept \? as a valid escape sequence but it also fails to work with the tester at myregexp.com.     Hi, I am fetching a RSS, in which i receive the following Date stamp: 2010-05-10T06:11:14.000Z Now i am using NSDateFormatter to parse this datetime stamp. [parseFormatter setDateFormat:@"yyyy-MM-dTH:m:s.z"]; But its not working fine if just remove the time stamp part it works for the date [parseFormatter setDateFormat:@"yyyy-MM-d"]; But if i add the rest of the stuff it returns nil.
