    When I create a controller with following through Zend_Tool command: create controller NameController ... netbeans creates a new controller successfully. BUT, it sends a message in the output window: PHPUnit is required in order to generate controller test stubs. How do I get Netbeans to automatically create a class with phpunit testing? I searched the net and thousands solutions so far not able to solve ... Important Notes: Have already installed the pear Already installed phpunit Already included 'phpunit' in the include_path Has created a file and includes zf.ini too in the include_path Options already configured netbeans, where I informed the directory phpunit.bat.     All, I am looking for some web application design ideas here. I have a server X that hosts an SDK, which has the capacity to talk a piece of hardware. When I make an HTTPS request from an external PHP web application (hosted on Server Y) to Server X through curl, Server X gives JSON data as a response. I use this data to render my UI for the web app on Server Y. The above method seems to be slow and has a tendency to fail in production if there are too many concurrent requests. Can anybody let me know if there is an alternative to CURL or any other design people are using to pull data like this from servers? Thanks

But the autocomplete isn't working. I even don't see any jQuery script in the source page. Have I missed something?

    Hi, I am trying to use ZendX_Jquery and i don't how know to autoload this file in bootstrap. I am doing require_once("ZendX/JQuery.php"); on my file Bootstrap.php i also tried $autoLoader = Zend_Loader_Autoloader::getInstance(); $autoLoader->registerNamespace('ZendX_'); but it did not work is there any elegant way of autoloading files in diretories? EDIT: Changed ZendX_jQuery to ZendX_JQuery (case sensitivity) on my bootstrap.php file

  • Does retrieving an object from Doctrine2 cause __construct() of the model class to run?

    When I retrieve an object say by $em->find('Application\Models\User', 1); or other methods like DQL, findBy*() cause the __construct() of the model class to run? I am having a problem where I set variables there like reference to EntityManager and I find that its not set. I tried putting a die() in __construct() and it doesn't halt the application. Can I say that if I want to set other properties/fields like EntityManager $em I have to do it some other way? Perhaps something like protected function getEm() { if (!isset($this->em)) { $this->em = \Zend_Registry::get('em'); } return $this->em; }

    I use rich domain model in my app. The basic ideas were taken there. For example I have User and Comment entities. So the question is how can I organize pagination through model data (getComments). Is there a "beatiful" method to get comments from 5 to 10, not all, as getComments returns by default.

    Hi Stackers, What is the best way to access my models and forms from a controller of a module? Let's explain with "pictures": /application/module/storage/controllers/IndexController.php needs to call readAction in the class called storage_Model_Files in /application/module/storage/models/Files.php I've made this app's dir structure and these forms and models with zf.sh (Zend_Tool). I've read about all sorts of ways of manually including these files. I want to lazy load them much like everything is done automatically with the default module. I can't seem to find how in the docs. Does that make sense? I have: resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" in my application.ini file. So I can access my controllers fine. Thanks for your help!

  • Is there a way to preserve HTML Formatting in LiveDocX?

    I have a large amount of content stored in a database as XHTML. I need to be able to pull this formatted content into a simple LiveDocX template with the formatting (bold, italic, bulleted lists, etc) preserved. Is this possible? If so, can anybody post a working example or link to an article? If not, are there other applications that I could look into? The client needs to be able to export content in the .doc/.docx file format. Thanks, Peter

    I have a function in my model that I need to use multiple conditions when querying. Additionally I would like to also have partial matches.     My developer built our registration page to display a div when logins failed based on a string in the URL. When logins fail this is added to the URL /login?msg=invalid The PHP in my login.phtml which displays the error messages based on the msg= parameter is <?php $msg = ""; $msg = $_GET['msg']; if($msg==""){ $showMsg = ""; } elseif($msg=="invalid"){ $showMsg = ' <div class="alert alert-error"> <a class="close" data-dismiss="alert">×</a> <strong>Error!</strong> Login or password is incorrect! </div>'; } elseif($msg=="disabled"){ $showMsg = "Your account has been disabled."; } elseif($msg==2){ $showMsg = "Your account is not activated. Please check your email."; } ?> In the controller the redirect to that URL is else //email id does not exist in our database { //redirecting back with invalid email(invalid) msg=invalid. $this->_redirect($url."?msg=invalid"); } I know there are a few other validation types for disabled accounts etc. I'm in the process of redesigning the entire interface and would like to get rid of this kind of validation so that the div tags display when logins fail but not show the URL strings. If it matters the new div I want to display is <div class="alert alert-error alert-login"> Email or password incorrect </div> I'd like to replace the php my self in my login.phtml and controller but not a good programmer. What can I replace $this->_redirect($url."?msg=invalid"); with so that no strings are added to the URL and display the appropriate div tags? Thanks

  • Should I uniform different API calls to a single format before caching?

    The problem is that I am recreating the social media widget/icons on http://about.me/bluedaniel (thats me). Anyhow there can be up to 6 or 7 different API calls on the page and obviously I am caching them, at the moment with Memcached. The question is, as they arrive in various formats and sizes (fb-json, linkedin-xml, wordpress-rss etc), should I universally format/convert them before storing it in the cache. At present I have recreated the html widget and then stored that, but I worry about saving huge blocks of html in the cache as it doesn't seem that smart.

  • Doctrine 2 entity cannot be saved with its many-to-many related entities

    I'm writing a project in ZF and have many-to-many related accounts and videos entities and I provide the account with the videos collection. When I try to save the account I receive the following error: A new entity was found through the relationship 'Entities\Account#playlistVideos' that was not configured to cascade persist operations for entity: Entities\Video@000000004d5f02ef00000000196757dc. Explicitly persist the new entity or configure cascading persist operations on the relationship. If you cannot find out which entity causes the problem implement 'Entities\Video#__toString()' to get a clue. I found a suggested solution with cascade={"persist"} which should allow videos to be saved together with the account by only specifying $this-em-persist($account) but then I get the error: Fatal error: method_exists(): The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition "Proxies\EntitiesAccountProxy" of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded before unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in... The same happens when I try to manually persist videos and account. Thank you for the help in advance.

  • Fulltext for innoDB? or a good solution for php app

    I have a table I want to run a fulltext search on, but it is currently innoDB and is using a lot of foreign keys for other kinds of queries. Should I make like a 1:1 "meta-data" table that is myisam for fulltext? Also I am reading some things that say that fulltext corrupts MySQL tables pretty randomly? I dunno, the articles are a couple years old, maybe they've fixed that in 5+? If not what's a good solution for searching? Zend_Lucene seems cool but slow, even with caching, for the client's large tables and autocomplete functionality et al.
