    Hi I want to build a Firefox extension that will allow me to directly manipulate the audio output, applying live filters and effects, from (for example) a streaming video site. Im struggling to find any good resources to help me. I think the effects bit will be ok but I need to find a way of intercepting the audio stream output. Does anyone know if this is possible? So twitter saves every tweet only one times and then retrieve its in every stream ? or saves every tweet in every users's stream ?   • SQL Server 2005 Error "The user does not have permission to perform this action" - clears up after r

    We're getting the error "The user does not have permission to perform this action" during times of heavy load (regularly, when a trim job occurs). The error clears up when the service accessing sql server is restarted, so it's obviously not a real permissions problems. There's a possibility that the problem is occurring when we're trying to query dm_tran_active_transactions and sys.dm_tran_session_transactions. Any ideas of good places to start looking? thanks for any insights...

  • For how long can a file be locked in windows after program is closed?

    In a couple of scripts that I use I have problem that is intermittent. Sometimes the script fails when trying to delete a file. According to the error log due to the file being accessed by an other process. I'm guessing that windows not had time to release the file after the previous operation performed on the file ended. What amount of time would be a good guesstimate after which windows should have had time to release the file again?

Any recommendations? apparently there briefly used to be a Euro OSCON (2004-2006? what happened?) some good language/app-specific ones like EuroPython, EuroSciPy, DjangoCon European BarCamps seem kind of fragmented, esp. for an English-speaking audience anything bigger or better? If there isn't anything, I wonder if O'Reilly would resurrect Euro OSCON.

    Hi! I've got a lot of xml files, and embedded in some elements there are json serialized objects. They are quite difficult to read and modify. So question is: Are there any Visual Studio addins availible that can take selected json-text in the editor, and visualize it (and maybe even allow for editing)? if not, if I must build it - are there any good starting points or samples availible?
