    I have a string value coming from a label in the .aspx page as following. string text = Price.Text; // Price.Text = "$31.07" Single value = Convert.ToSingle(text); //throws FormatException I can replace the $ sign with the empty text and then Convert to Single but I was wondering if there is better way to de-format the text with the '$' sign into a Single.

    Simple question really - how do I use the select(ActionView::Helpers::FormOptionsHelper) with grouped options? I have got it working with a select_tag (ActionView::Helpers::FormTagHelper) but I would really like to have it using a select tag to match the rest of the form. Is this possible?     So i need to figure out how i can get a record count value and use that count as a new value to insert into a table. Ex: In My Stored Procedure @Count int What im looking for @Count to equal "select top (1) _fieldName from _someTable order by _fieldName Desc" Finally insert into _newTable (_fieldName) values (@Count) End I dont have to use a variable, just trying to demonstrate what im really trying to do.   • Problem passing variables in php form.

    I have the following php form. I am trying to make it so that when the form is loaded, the values will be assigned the appropriate check- variable. This variable will contain either "checked or "". If it contains checked, the way it is displayed with the html should cause the relevant checkbox to be checked. As it is, the variables do not seem to be being passed. When I echo out $deleted or $notice from within the submitinfo branch, they are blank. Furthermore, nothing is being inserted into the database, and I am not getting any database error.     I am facing a peculiar problem where i need to update a particular value in database to say 'Hellò'. When i run normal update statement the values are updated fine. But when i put it i a .sql script file and then run the update statement the last character gets replaced by a junk value. Can some one enlighten me on this and how oracle processes script files?

  • OnTouch event consumes click event and prevents execution in parent

    I'm having a FrameLayout that has an extended ImageView (github) as a child. When I set an onClick()-Event to the FrameLayout it won't be triggered. The reason appears to be the onTouch() method's return value. If I set the ACTION_DOWN's return value to false the event is passed along properly - but then the Multitouch functionalities break. Also running performClick() in the ACTION_UP event comes to nothing. How to handle those events correctly?

    With a customer web site we currently experiences performance problems. While analyzing the problem we found an unexpected amount of of 112 "Memory Hard Faults" per minute. Does anybody can interpret the meaning of this value? Does this happen, when memory swapping is necessary - so the root cause is not sufficient memory? Even if the CPU value seems high, it is not the main problem for the slow web site. Do you agree?
