  VB6 & SQL Server 2005 When i run the Windows based Software exe file, it is showing the login page, after login page - no screen is displaying, I checked the task manager, in task manager it is showing as software as running, But there is no page is appearing.   I'd like to display a little popup window next to the notification area. It's similar to what Outlook/Skype/Live! Messenger/etc does when it displays the notification about a new message. In my case it will have some input controls (textbox, datetimepicker, buttons...) so a simple bubble won't do. The trick is doing this correctly when the user has multiple monitors and/or the taskbar is not located at the bottom of the screen.

  I am having one GtkVbox and I am adding it to GtkViewPort. View port is created from Glade file. Now the problem is that my vbox keeps updating on every second (I keep adding widgets to vbox on every second) this vbox but my screen did not get updated as add widgets to my vbox. I can't create new vbox every time as I need to keep previously added widgets in vbox. How can I tell GtkViewPort to refresh list when I add new widgets to my GtkVBox?

  If I have a file that contains a complete path for a file, is there a way to highlight the filename (using visual mode) and open the file? (preferably in a split screen) As I think about it, here is what I would like: if the file name contains a / character, assume it is a full path (IE the 'current directory' is root). Otherwise, use the current folder (IE default behavior) Is this possible?
