  • How can I create a short cut to a directory on a Windows Phone device?

    When I plug in my Windows mobile it appears in My Computer as a portable device but the data I need regular access to is many sub directories in. Is it possible to create a shortcut or access a path on a mobile device directly? When I open the properties of the folder I want it says the location starts with "Computer\Name of Phone\Phone\". The problem is using that as a path to navigate straight to the files doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

    How do you delete one or more fax jobs from the Job History on a Xerox Workcentre Pro 123? The Xerox Workcentre Pro 123 is a combination copier, printer, scanner and fax machine, and it keeps a history of the numbers dialed for sending faxes, including any long distance access codes that were dialed. In order to keep these access codes private, I'd like to remove these jobs from the job history, or alternatively clear the entire job history. Unfortunately the User Guide and the Quick Reference Guide don't explain how to do this.

  • Auto populate Outlook with other users' calendars

    In Outlook 2007, when in Calendar view, there's a category (group) of calendars on the left hand bar titled "People's Calendars". We're migrating from a system where all employees have access to read and write to all other employees' calendars (via a 3rd party Web Calendar). Is it possible, from an admin level, to auto-populate this People's Calendars category in everyone's Outlook with all the employees in the company, and grant everyone read / write access to everyone else's calendars?     Hi, I'm trying to set multiple web sites up in an IIS 6. I've got a working virtual site residing under the default web site, but if I create a new web site in the IIS and asign it a host header value, let it point to the very same file structure as in the prevoiusly mentioned site and finally asign windows integrated security only to the site - I still cannot log in to the new site using MSIE 6 or 8 but FF 3.5 works fine.     I have a situation here. I have an intrusion detection system and it constantly alerts me that a remote host is accessing our AD's registry remotely. Our remote hosts are mainly Windows XP and our ADs are W2K8. The remote hosts access them over SMB port 445 Is it normal for Windows hosts to access AD's remote registry? My colleagues confirmed with me that both host and AD is clean from virus with endpoint protection enabled. Thanks.

  • Snow Leopard not reading NTFS

    I just upgraded a brand new Macbook Pro that I bought with 10.5 installed to Snow Leopard. After doing the upgrade I am trying to access NTFS partitions on my external hard drive but they are just not showing up. I went ahead and installed Windows 7 using Parallels, and I can access the NTFS partitions from within Windows, but not from Mac OS X. I know that Snow Leopard should be able to at least read NTFS drives, so what is going on here?

  • Accessing guests on virtual network when connected to host via PPTP

    I'm setting up a development machine which runs Ubuntu 12.04 and KVM for virtualization. I have a guest running Ubuntu 12.04 which can be accessed from the host via its IP address which is assigned by libvirt. The guest can also access the internet, no problem there. However, now I want to setup PPTP so I can connect to the host (from my workstation running Windows 7) and directly access guests without relying on SSH port forwarding. I can connect from my W7-machine to the host (PPTP), but I cannot access any virtual machines (which are accessable from the host directly). Win7 is connected to the internet through a 3G dongle, I have set up an Ad Hoc wifi network and ticked "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection". I have connected to both networks, but I'm getting "No Internet access" as access type for the Ad Hoc connection. Any ideas?

In the home view (index.haml), I list the Questions like this: - @questions.each do |q| %tr %td =link_to q.title, q Next to each of those, I want to add a link that will create a new Answer and pass the id of the Question in that row (continued from the above Haml code) : %td #{link_to 'answer me!', new_answer_path, pass q.id here somehow?} I don't know how to properly pass it and then access it in AnswersController. I tried #{link_to 'answer me!', new_answer_path, :question_id => q.id}, but that was just a guess, and I don't know how to access that in AnswersController. I read the Rails API docs, and I know you can add query, too, but I still don't know how to access the value in AnswersController.

    hi, i am having this hard time figuring what is needed to do, i am using URLVariables to send/recieve values between flash and PHP the problem is, i am unable to access nested arrays ( array inside an array ) with flash heres an example: $dgresult = array("total" = $results); echo http_build_query($dgresult,"flf_"); in flash, all i need to do is to use: var variables:URLVariables = new URLVariables(e.target.data); then i can access it with : variables.total the problem now is when i have nested arrays: $dgresult = array("total" = $results); array_push($dgresult,$another_array); http_build_query($dgresult,"flf_"); i can still access variables.total but what about anything that has flf_ ? how is that possible?

    TLDR Using plain HTML / Javascript. Want to block access to some pages (doesn't have to be super secure just to stop some peeking eyes). I thought of simply doing this by setting a cookie for each page they are allowed to visit with a value of true but thats a bit messy. Although it would work. Is there a way to set an array of values to a cookie so I can read the cookie and if a name of a page is in there then allow access with an IF statement or so on each of my pages. If they dont have the cookie just to replace my #content (entirepage) to "sorry no" etc. For example: $.cookie("Access","page1, page2, page3",{ expires: 1 }); Am already using JQuery, Jquery cookie. etc. I am up for anyway of doing this cookie idea is just an example So what do you think would be the best / most efficient way of managing this?

  • MSTSC RDP over the public internet

    My first question so please be gentle :) I have a client who is insisting that they have to let their third party vendor support access to there server directly from the internet via RDP. Our policy does not allow direct access to the infrastructure from outside of the data centre for administration except from an approved VPN connection and then virtual desktop there on to the servers. I am now in the situation where I must give good reasons why it is dangerous to use RDP over the public internet. any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance Stuart
