• wpf do animation until background worker finishes its work

  Hi! I have an application that do some hard stuff when user clicks a start button and takes a long time. During this I would like to do some animation over a label, for example, changing opacity from 0 to 1 and vice versa and change foreground color between several colors at the same time changing opacity. I want it stops doing animation when background worker finishes its work. How can I do this? and how can I start animation and stop it from c#? Thanks very much!

• Firefox adds <br> when paste from Word in TinyMCE

  I'm currently using TinyMCE 3.3 on a drupal site, with an annoying problem. Using both "paste from word"-button or "Force cleanup on paste" in Firefox cause TinyMCE to insert line-breaks in my paragraphs where the line would have ended in Word. In IE, I do not have this problem. When viewing the source code in the editor, it doesn't show a -tag, but an actual line-break. When viewing the normal text in the editor, I see no linebreak at all, but on saving, it's really there when viewing the page. Even in the beginning of every first line of every paragraph it insert a linebreak. How do I solve this?? "Remove linebreaks" isn't an option, since people want to insert linebreaks to create some vertical spacing.

But coming to firefox i am surprised on seeing the output after so much of coding. In Firefox:-- onMouseOver is working as expected. color change of that particular row. onClick -- Setting the background color permenantly..eventhough i do onmouseover on different rows. the clicked row color is not reset to white. -- not as expected onclick on 2 rows..the background of both the rows is set...not as expected i.e if i click on all the rows..background color of everything is changed... Eventhough i click on the row. First column i.e radio button or checkbox is not set.. Please help me to solve this issue in firefox. Do let me know where my code needs to be changed... • In ASP.NET, Can I Delete a row in GridView while the primary key of that table is not loaded into the gridview?

  Hi, I have a table with primary key whose importance is technically high and none business wise. So, when I display the table data to user, I would like not to show him the primary key. Even if I load it in sqldatasource and dont show (I did this by removing the cloumn in "Columns" tag of GridView), I am not able to update or delete row using the built-in UpdateCommand & DeleteCommand. I have created the delete paramters but it does nothing when I hit the delete button. How to get around it? Thanks R S Reddy

  In OpenGL Renderer onDrawFrame is called several time, until the page is completely rendered. I cannot find an event that my page is completeley rendered in order to take a snapshot of the OpenGL page and animate it. I have the solution to take snapshot on at the animation trigger (specific button), but this will imply a specific delay, until Bitmap is created, such as i would like to keep in memory a mutable copy of every page. Do you know other way to animate GLSurfaceView with rendered content? Something like this: {{ form.myfield.0 }}} Or perhaps hanging it onto widget itself: {{ form.myfield.field.widget.0 }} What bugs me is that RadioFieldRenderer already implements __get_item__ to get just one RadioInput. The problem is that the renderer does not contain data, neither does the widget. And I'd really hate to mess with Field and BoundField. I need this to inject html before/after each radiobutton and I'd like it to be done in the template. From the code it would be easy. Any ideas are welcome.

• IE form input data disappear after browser refresh

  Hi, I'm trying to achieve sticky forms without PHP. My setup is AJAX like javascript. The back/forward work fine on both IE and FF, but refresh only works on FF, not IE. Doesn't matter what cache options I use, I've even set IE's temporary files option to never check for updates, and the input value is gone after page refresh(the refresh button or F5) I've read many posts where people have the opposite problem, and do not want form data to persist across page refresh, and never read from browser cache, but I do. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

• Add Web Reference prompts for credentials with "Discovery Credential" dialog but won't accept valid

  I'm attempting to add a web reference to my ASP.Net 3.0 project. This is a reference to the SQL Server Reporting Services web service. I have verified the service is up and running, but when I try to add the web reference in my project, I am prompted for my credentials, which I enter, and then prompted again and again and again. I have to hit cancel to stop the vicious cycle. When I do that the service definition comes up in the window, but the "Add Reference" button is disabled so I can't add the reference to my project. I have limited knowledge of SQL Reporting Services configurations. If anyone knows how to resolve this problem I'd really appreicate it.

  I've got a dockpanel on my ui as follows; <DockPanel> <Border DockPanel.Dock="Top">Header</Border> <Border DockPanel.Dock="Bottom">My footer</Border> <Border DockPanel.Dock="Left">Menu</Border> <Border>Content</Border> </DockPanel> What I want to do is to have a storyboard animation to show / hide the Menu on the left-hand side. I've got my border to increase the width when it has loaded but I want a way to close / reopen it. I need a button somewhere but I want this to trigger the animation in the border control rather than itself. Ideally I was thinking of something like the Toolbox / Server Explorer in visual studio. Does anyone have any pointers / examples for getting started? Thanks

  I am trying to get and destroy an external process I've created via ProcessBuilder in my FXML application close, but it's not working. This is based on the helpful advice Sergey Grinev gave me here. I have tried running with/without the "// myController.setApp(this);" and with "// super.stop();" at top of subclass and at bottom (see commented out/in for that line in MyApp), but no combination works. This probably isn't related to FXML or JavaFX, though I imagine this is a common pattern for developing apps on JavaFX. I suppose I'm asking for a Java best practice for closing dependent processes in a UI-based app like this one (in this case: FXML / JavaFX based), where there is a controller class and an application class. Can you explain what I'm doing wrong? Or better: advise what I should be doing instead? Thanks. • Netbeans jar file icon problems

  I finally found how to make an exe project in Netbeans, so a jar file and execute it from the DESKTOP. The only problem I have ocurred is that after I open the jar file and login with my username and password the button icons are not shown, if I put a string it appears but if I put the image it doesn't appear. • Using Mapkit to create a local searchable Map

  Using MapKit as a base, I'm planning on adding a map to a project with 'local search' capabilities. I think 'local search' describes the feature I want to design into the map. Here is my vision. The map is displayed on the bottom half of a view. The user's current location is highlighted by default. When the user pushes the 'search' button annotation pins drop onto the map. The search is programmatically fixed to a certain item....for example supermarkets. So supermarkets in a 5 mile radius of the user's current location will populate the map. How would I add this local search feature to the already amazing MapKit? I've learned an incredible amount as a new developer in the last few months, and look forward to learning googles...correction googols more. Thanks in anticipation.

• Launching my deployed my app gets "has stopped working" error. How do I debug this?

  I deployed a VB.Net app and ran it and I get 'AppName has stopped working" "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" along with a Cancel button under Windows 7. Under XP I am only getting the option to Send the error report to Microsoft or not. There is no apparent way to hook into a debugger. I am not getting any exception data. I have put msgboxes at the very start of my code and they are not hit so it is failing before any of my code is even executing. I have checked all dependencies that I can think of. I developed the app on VS2008 Windows 7 and deploying to Windows 7 and WinXP. I need some advice - how do I debug this? Thanks, Brad

• How to have onSearchRequested not open a web browser.

  I have a button in my app. When it is pressed I call the onSearchRequested() method. When this is called the stock search box comes up so the user can type some junk in there. When they press "Go" I need the results returned back to my application but instead the stock browser is opened and a google search is performed. How can I tell it to return the results to my application instead.   Hello, I have a web page that has a DIV and an IFRAME. When a user clicks a button in my DIV, I need to submit the web form that is hosted in my IFRAME. Both pages are hosted on the same server in the same directory. My code that attempts to submit the web form looks like this: $("#myIFrame").contents().find("form").submit(); When this code is called, I receive an error in IE that says: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" In FireFox when I execute the code, I receive an error that says: "The connection was reset" In FireFox when I look at the error console I see: "Error: Permission denied for http://localhost:2995 to get property HTMLDocument.nodeType from ." What am I doing wrong?

• How to create a BBC style (facebox?) help popup

  Hi guys, I have tried to take apart the code, but can't seem to replicate it. On the BBC weather homepage, http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/, you will see a little help quetionmark in a circle in the top right corner or some of the boxes. When you click on it, it brings up a nice help popup, that looks a little like facebox. The main thing I like about this, is the little arrow that points back to the help button to the right of the container. Facebox is just a standard square. If anyone knows how to replicate this, some help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Ian
