  Hi, I have console application. In that i have some process that fetch the data from database through different layers ( business and Data access). and generate outputs. This process will execute many times say 10 times. Ok? I want to run simultaneously this process. not one will start, it will finish and then second will start. I want after starting 1'st process, just 2'nd , 3rd....10'th must be start. Means it should be multithreading. how can i achieve this ? is that will give me error while connection with data base open and close ?

• How to Add a File from my source tree to Maven Site

  I have a Maven 2 RESTful application using Jersey/JAXB. I generate the JAXB beans from a schema file, where the schema file is in my resources directory, e.g., src/main/resources/foo.xsd. I want to include foo.xsd file in the generated Maven site for my project, so that clients can see the XML schema when writing RESTful calls. How can I include foo.xsd in the site? I could have a copy of the file in src/main/site/..., and then update my site.xml to point to it (or have a .apt whose contents point to it), but I don't like that because I'm still tweaking foo.xsd, and don't want to have to remember to copy it each time I update it. And that's just bad practice. I also tried having a .apt file that has a link to the foo.xsd which gets copied to the target/classes directory. That works until I do a site:deploy, because that only copies the target/site directory. Thanks, Charles

  What is an example (simple code) of how to zip a folder in C#? Update: I do not see namespace ICSharpCode. I downloaded ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll but I do not know where to copy that DLL file. What do I need to do to see this namespace? And do you have link for that MSDN example for compress folder, because I read all MSDN but I couldn't find anything. OK, but I need next information.   I am doing my first steps with TDD. The problem is (as probably with everyone starting with TDD), I never know very well what kind of unit tests to do when I start working in my projects. Let's assume I want to write a Stack class with the following methods(I choose it as it's an easy example): Stack<T> - Push(element : T) - Pop() : T - Seek() : T - Count : int - IsEmpty : boolean How would you approch this? I never understood if the idea is to test a few corner cases for each method of the Stack class or start by doing a few "use cases" with the class, like adding 10 elements and removing them. What is the idea? To make code that uses the Stack as close as possible to what I'll use in my real code? Or just make simple "add one element" unit tests where I test if IsEmpty and Count were changed by adding that element? How am I supposed to start with this?

  I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What's wrong? Is there anything that I have to configure to run NUNit under any directory?

  I have a Debian server in the form of a Raspberry Pi running Raspian. It has a USB Wi-Fi connection. Sometimes it would not respond when I SSH to it, and would require a reboot. I found something in syslog that may indicate what the problem is, can someone help with what this means? • Passing complex objects to javascript via IScriptControl

  I'm playing around with a asp.net page that's using the IScriptControl interface to pass data from the code-behind to the custom javascript object running on the browser. I'm passing a number of properties via IScriptControl.GetScriptDescriptors(), and they're all working fine, except for one. That one is a class derived from System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary<. And even that one has been working for me, so long as the elements in the collection were scalars - ints, doubles, and strings. But when I tried to pass a member of a class, it showed up as a null object in the javascript. The class in question is marked [Serializable]. I changed it to a struct, and got the same behavior. It looks as if the serializer used in IScriptControl does a shallow copy. I need a deep copy. Any ideas?

  I must be missing something very simple, but can't find the answer to this. I have a method named foo inside bar_controller. I simply want to call that method from inside a functional test. Here's my controller: class BarsController < ApplicationController def foo # does stuff end end Here's my functional test: class BarsControllerTest << ActionController::TestCase def "test foo" do # run foo foo # assert stuff end end When I run the test I get: NameError: undefined local variable or method `foo' for #<BarsControllerTest:0x102f2eab0> All the documentation on functional tests describe how to simulate a http get request to the bar_controller which then runs the method. But I'd just like to run the method without hitting it with an http get or post request. Is that possible? There must be a reference to the controller object inside the functional test, but I'm still learning ruby and rails so need some help.

  Hello, I got two different forms in two different tabs. One has data from our system and the other one is an interface of another, external, system in wich we need to copy data into (XML or API integration not an option here) The this is that, having open both forms - in two different tabs - i need a greasemonkey script or something similar that allows my to copy data from one form to the other (using the getValue method in Javascript). The problem right now is that I cannot figure out how to reference with a greasemonkey script one particular tab or window (to rad data from or write data to). Do you think it would be possible to do what I'm thinking to do? THANKS

• mysqld_multi stop doesn't seem to work

  mysqld_multi stop 1 followed by (repeatedly, a few moments later) mysqld_multi report 1 returns: Reporting MySQL servers MySQL server from group: mysqld1 is running The instances work fine and when I reboot, I have to start the instances to get them to come back up (a separate issue I need to resolve), but the stop command doesn't seem to do anything. It truly doesn't stop the instance because in the instance log file I see this: 120619 11:12:39 mysqld_safe A mysqld process already exists after trying to run start after.

  HI there! I've run into some problem while learning to combine .sh files and PHP. I've create a file test.sh and in that file I call a PHP file called test.php. If I double click on the .sh file then it runs perfectly but when I try to run it from the terminal I get "command not found". I'm in the exact folder as my .sh file but it wont work. Here's my test.sh: #!/bin/bash LIB=${0/%cli/} exec php -q ${LIB}test.php one two three exit; When I doubleclick on the test.sh file then it returns the argv array like it suppost to. But why can't I run it from terminal?

• Adding features to an SQL Server 2008 standard with SP1

  I have MS SQL Server 2008 with SP1 installed. I want to add the Full text feature to the installation. Do I need to run the SP1 update again after I add this feature? If I do try to run it (SQLServer2008SP1-KB968369-x64-ENU) it fails with this error: "There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer". Should I uninstall SP1 and re-install? Doesnt make much sense.

  So I would like to set PATH and CLASSPATH system variables so I can use javac and java commands in the command line. I can just compile and run java programs in eclipse but I would also like to be able to run them through command line. This is where I have Java installed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java jdk1.6.0_20 jre6 And this is where eclipse stores my Java projects: D:\java-projects HelloWorld bin HelloWorld.class src HelloWorld.java I have set up the PATH and CLASSPATH variables like this: PATH: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin CLASSPATH: D:\java-projects But it doesn't work. When I write: java HelloWorld Or: java HelloWorld.class I get error like this: Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld The error is longer, that's just the first line. How can I fix this? I'm mainly interested to be able to run compiled .class programs from the command line, I can do compiling in the eclipse.

• How do I get code coverage of Perl cgi script when executed by Selenium?

  I'm using Eclipse EPIC IDE to write some Perl cgi scripts which call some Perl modules that I have also written. The EPIC IDE lets me configure a Perl CGI "run configuration" which runs my CGI script. And then I've got Selenium set up and one of my unit test files runs some Selenium commands to run my cgi script through its paces. But the coverage report from Module::Build dispatch 'testcover' doesn't show that any of my module code has been executed. It's been executed by my cgi script, but I guess the CGI script was run manually and was not executed directly by my unit test file, so maybe that's why the coverage isn't being recognized. Is there a way to do this right so I can integrate Selenium and unit test files and code coverage all together somehow?

• Starting x11vnc remotely when X server is already running

  I have a ubuntu linux machine that I have already logged into and X server is running (it is pass the login manager like gdm). I can access this machine through ssh. My goal is to start x11vnc on this machine and attach it to the X server that is already running. When I ssh into the machine and start x11vnc, it says: X11 was unable to open the X DISPLAY ":0", it cannot continue. How can I start x11vnc on the remote machine if I don't have physical access to it and Xserver has already started.   Just installed and migrated a 2008 solution on Vista ultimate 64 and .net 4.0. Everything builds and tests run surprisingly well but I got the hang description below while trying to run the app under SQLite. It turns out that the hang has got something to do when the call is made for FNH to build the session factory during a run, the only feedback I get is that the database wasn't configure properly without any inner exception. The strange part is that the exact code works perfectly under tests. Any clues? Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. • "Abort" message on linux shell

• How Can I Convert A VMware .vmdk File To A .iso File in Windows

  I recently obtained a copy of Mac OS Snow Leopard in VMware (.vmdk) format. It is incredibly slow when running virtualised and I would like to just install it directly to my machine dual booting with Windows 7 (32 bit). Is there any way preferably free that I can convert a VMware .vmdk image to an .iso I can burn to a DVD to boot from? I've seen this done in Linux and presume there is a way to do it in Windows as well. Downloading another copy that isn't a VMware image isn't an option considering my broadband plan is creeping closer to its limit for the month.

• Tomcat on Windows x64 using 32-bit JDK

  Hoping someone can help. The rub: I can't get Tomcat 5.5 to start as a windows service on 64-bit windows using a 32-bit JDK. the details: I've been running Tomcat 5.5 on Windows Server 2008 (x64) as a service for some time using a 64-bit JDK. I'm being forced to install a 32-bit JDK on this 64-bit machine so I can make use of the Java JAI libraries (no 64-bit JAI version). I have to run Tomcat using this 32-bit JDK. I can run Tomcat using the 32-bit JDK if I start it using /bin/startup.bat Problem is, it will not start as a windows service. I'm using the Tomcat bundled procrun executables. Has anyone had success starting Tomcat as a service using a 32-bit JDK on a 64-bit machine? Thanks for your expertise.
