• How to configure a GridView CommandField to trigger Full Page Update in UpdatePanel

  I have 2 user controls on my page. One is used for searching, and the other is used for editing (along with a few other things). The user control that provides the search functionality uses a GridView to display the search results. This GridView has a CommandField used for editing (showEditButton="true"). I would like to place the GridView into an UpdatePanel so that paging through the search results will be smooth. The thing is that when the user clicks the Edit Link (the CommandField) I need to preform a full page postback so that the search user control can be hidden and the edit user control can be displayed. Edit: the reason I need to do a full page postback is because the edit user control is outside of the UpdatePanel that my GridView is in. It is not only outside the UpdatePanel, but it's in a completely different user control. I have no idea how to add the CommandField as a full page postback trigger to the UpdatePanel. The PostBackTrigger (which is used to indicate the controls cause a full page postback) takes a ControlID as a parameter; however the CommandButton does not have an ID...and you can see why I'm having a problem with this. Update on what else I've tried to solve the problem: I took a new approach to solving the problem. In my new approach, I used a TemplateField instead of a CommandField. I placed a LinkButton control in the TemplateField and gave it a name. During the GridView's RowDataBound event I retrieved the LinkButton control and added it to the UpdatePanel's Triggers. This is the ASP Markup for the UpdatePanel and the GridView <asp:UpdatePanel ID="SearchResultsUpdateSection" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:GridView ID="SearchResultsGrid" runat="server" AllowPaging="true" AutoGenerateColumns="false"> <Columns> <asp:TemplateField> <HeaderTemplate></HeaderTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <asp:LinkButton ID="Edit" runat="server" Text="Edit"></asp:LinkButton> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> <asp:BoundField ...... </Columns> </asp:GridView> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> In my VB.NET code. I implemented a function that handles the GridView's RowDataBound event. In this method I find the LinkButton for the row being bound to, create a PostBackTrigger for the LinkButton, and add it to the UpdatePanel's Triggers. This means that a PostBackTrigger is created for every "edit" LinkButton in the GridView Edit: this did not create a PostBackTrigger for Every "edit" LinkButton because the ID is the same for all LinkButtons in the GridView. After reading the MSDN article on the UpdatePanel.Triggers Property I have the impression that Triggers can only be defined declaratively.   Basically I'm wondering how I'm able to do what I've written in the topic. I've looked through many tutorials on AsyncTask but I can't get it to work. I have a little form (EditText) that will take what the user inputs there and make it to a url query for the application to lookup and then display the results. What I think would seem to work is something like this: In my main activity i have a string called responseBody. Then the user clicks on the search button it will go to my search function and from there call the GrabUrl method with the url which will start the asyncdata and when that process is finished the onPostExecute method will use the function activity.this.setResponseBody(content). • javax.naming.InvalidNameException using Oracle BPM and weblogic when accessing directory

  We are getting this exception when we start our cluster (2 managed servers, 1 admin), we have deployed only the ears corresponding to the OBPM 10.3.1 SP1 in a weblogic 10.3. When the server cluster starts, one of the managed servers (the first to start) get overloaded and ran out of connections to the directory DB because of this repeatedly error. When I run two or more servers, and client invokes Search method: search method is called on each server first server calls client callback properly second server throws ArgumentException "A property with the name 'TransactionFlowProperty' already exists" when invoking client callback (Found method) I've no idea what is going on since as far as I know transaction flow is by default set to none. I would like to move the search box (.dataTables_filter) and number of records to display dropdown (.dataTables_length) from their parent element (.dataTables_wrapper) to another div on my page without losing any registered javascript behavior. For instance the search box has a function attached to the 'keyup' event and I want to keep that intact. • Outlook Plug-In for custom CRM

  I would like to write a plug-in that will allow a custom written CRM to read and write to their local Outlook client. I know that this poses a security concern. But, my clients are asking that their CRM "be connected" to Outlook. They would like to be able to do the following: A) When a contact sends them an email (reply or free standing email), they'd like the details of this email to go INTO the CRM. Yep. They would like me to save the body, time and date it was sent, etc. B) They want to be able to send new emails (or replies to existing emails) from within the CRM itself. Basically, "a form that looks like Outlook's send/reply email form". C) Want the ability to search for contacts and the related emails with a search for tags/keywords facility. (i.e. if a product name or code appears in an email then they want the email returned in the search). D) Having performed a search of many contacts, they will want to prepare a mailer and shoot out some sort of email announcement to their qualified leads. This could be 50, 100, or more persons. So its got to be able to allow bulk mailing. E) Given a list of new prospects, that arent currently contacts in the CRM, they will want to do the same and if they get replies from this mailer to the prospects, the will want the replies to be saved in the DB and contacts be inserted into the DB. F) They would like to be able to utilize the calendar and task list facilities of Outlook from the CRM, as well. More or less, they want this pretty basic (as it is today) CRM that I created to integrate with Outlook and have it do so seamlessly as if it was an add-on to the CRM. A plug-in is what I am thinking... But, I dont know where to begin. My environment is Windows XP/Vista and is going to be ASP.NET and I am going to use the VB.NET language to accomplish this. What do I need? Are there resources out there that can describe how to build a plug-in to Outlook as I have been asked to? This is not Exchange, none of the clients use exchange (not so far). They all run Outlook. Mostly 2003. Most clients are XP right now but some are upgrading to Vista. For some reason I cant seem to wrap my head around this. I think the whole security issue is thwarting my ability to see past what is probably a simple thing. The client doesnt want to be prompted by any security messages asking them if they are sure they want to send 382 emails to their contacts. Not once and certainly not 382 times. Where do I begin? I've searched the internet for similar but mainly what I found are already-written products and I've got to write this from scratch.

I'm new to Python but figured this would be a good exercise to try a new language. My main loop isn't parsing the CSS as I thought it would. I populate a list with selectors parsed from the CSS files to return the CSS rules in order. • Error data: line 2 column 1 when using pycurl with gzip stream

  Thanks for reading. Background: I am trying to read a streaming API feed that returns data in JSON format, and then storing this data to a pymongo collection. The streaming API requires a "Accept-Encoding" : "Gzip" header. What's happening: Code fails on json.loads and outputs - Extra data: line 2 column 1 - line 4 column 1 (char 1891 - 5597) (Refer Error Log below) This does NOT happen while parsing every JSON object - it happens at random. My guess is I am encountering some weird JSON object after every "x" proper JSON objects. I did reference how to use pycurl if requested data is sometimes gzipped, sometimes not? and Encoding error while deserializing a json object from Google but so far have been unsuccessful at resolving this error. I'm playing around with an Ajax powered search engine trying to find the best tradeoff between data-volume and client-side processing time. Currently my AJAX search returns 40k of (JQM-enhanced markup), which avoids any client-side enhancement. This way I'm getting by without the page stalling for about 2-3 seconds, while JQM enhances all elements in the search results. What I'm curious is whether I can gzip Ajax responses sent from Coldfusion. • MVC Datatables Dialog Not staying where dialog opens

  I have created a view that displays a datatable with a clickable link that opens a jQuery UI dialog box. The users wanted a search options (8 dropdowns to narrow the search) at top of page, followed by the datatable with the 100 viewable records. If I scroll down the datatable to the bottom viewable record, click the link to open the dialog box. The dialog opens relative to the link clicked, but the focus go back to the top of the page which causes the user to have scroll back down to the dialog box. Ok, I thought I would just set the focus to the dialog box. BUt it is being ignored which make me think that this is something within the MVC realm. I even tried to wrap the focus inside a ready function thinking it would be one of the last things process. When I define the dailog, it is pretty basic. I even tried to set the position attribute, but it did not change the problem. Has someone had this problem and can send me in the right direction? • How to force a page refresh or reload in jQuery?

  The code below displays a google map and search results when you enter an address and hit the submit button. I've been playing with it to try and force the page to completely refresh or reload once you hit the submit button. But I can't get it to work right. It loads the results "in page," but I'd like the page to completely refresh when the results load, like when you hit the back button on your browser. Hope that makes sense. • Drop down list in menu disappears before able to click

  I've had quite a search through forums looking for a solution for this, but since I don't know coding I'm not sure what applies to me and what doesn't. So, apologies if this is an often solved problem, but I'll greatly appreciate your help! After much trial and error, I've managed to get a drop down list of pages on my navigation bar; however, when I go to click on a sub-page, the entire menu disappears. I've read through other similar problems where there has been an issue with a margin that's too big, but I think my margins are set to '0'. • Ubuntu boot hangs after message "Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done"

  I've been trying to copy a Proxmox container based on the Ubuntu Precise Standard template to a VirtualBox VM. I am now stuck at a point where my new Ubuntu/VirtualBox VM hangs after the message "Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done" during boot. I started by installing Ubuntu Server 12.04.4 LTS on a VirtualBox VM. Ubuntu Server 12.04.4 LTS was the closest "official" Ubuntu ISO to the Proxmox container OS I could find. I installed all updates on both the Proxmox container and on the VirtualBox VM. The idea was to get same version kernal running on the ProxMox container and VirtualBox VM. sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get upgrade ; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo reboot rsync the entire proxmox container to a temporary directory in the VirtualBox VM: cd / mkdir /tmp/backup rsync -e ssh -av --exclude={/dev,/proc,/sys,/tmp,/run,/mnt,/media,/lost+found,/boot,/selinux} root@my_proxmox_container_hostname:/ /tmp/backup Shut down the virtual machine, and boot the VM with a bootable linux image. I used the Desktop image of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, ubuntu-12.04.4-desktop-i386.iso Drop to a root prompt. Mount the VM root filesystem: sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt Remove files from most of /mnt cd /mnt sudo rm -rf bin etc home lib opt sbin root usr var Move all of the files from /mnt/backup into /mnt sudo mv /mnt/tmp/backup/* /mnt Rebooted system. For me, at this point the system freezes after starting, after the message: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done I've tried reinstalling GRUB and all manner of other thing. I am almost ready to give up.

• untrusted (self-sign) certificate on android browser

  Hi all, Apologies for the brevity of this question but due to an unfortunate series of events, I've managed to brick my PC so am posting from my phone... We've just set up Windows Small Business Server 2008 at work which has an external web portal accessible via HTTPS. We haven't yet bought?installed any certificates. The portal provides access to email, sharepoint, remote desktop, etc.... (I'm aware some of these are never going to work on the phone) From firefox / other desktop browsers, this displays an "untrusted cert' warning which I can choose to ignore. When browsing from my mobile I get a popup notification which says. "A secure connection could not be established" when I OK this (my only option) I see the standard android-generated "unable to load page - has it moved?" Page. Does anyone know of a way to either accept the certificate temporarily or allow untrusted certificates generally? I'm aware that the latter option is non-ideal in the mid to long term but at the moment, I need to access the portal and am willing to either toggle settings as/when required or forego using the mobile for banking, etc... to mitigate my risk. • Can't Access TFS 2010 Beta 2 from Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 when domain joined

  I'm experimenting with an installation of TFS 2010 Beta 2 on a virtual machine under VirtualBox running Windows Server 2008. When I've got the server in a workgroup, I can connect to it from Visual Studio just fine, as long as I provide credentials for a local user on the server machine when prompted by the "Connect to Team Foundation Server" dialog. The desktop I'm running Visual Studio on is joined to a domain. However, when I join the server to the domain, I can no longer connect to it from Visual Studio. I get a pretty generic error message: "TF31002 - Unable to connect to team foundation server". It gives me several different possible problems, including an incorrect address or an incorrect username and password. I've already added the domain Windows identity with which I'm logged on the the desktop to the TFS Admins group on the server, so I don't think it's a username/password problem. I've also tried putting the literal IP address of the server in the dialog address box instead of the machine name, but still no dice. I made sure that network discovery was enabled on the server, too, and can navigate to "\\webserver2008" in Windows Explorer without any problems. Shouldn't be a firewall problem, since the TFS install creates the appropriate exceptions in Windows Firewall. It's all a bit confusing, since it seems to work when the server is in a workgroup. Note: I'm a dev, not an admin, so there are many subtleties of server administration with which I'm not familiar. Please make no assumptions about what I may or may not have tried; what may be obvious to you may have never occurred to me. Thanks in advance!

• VMWare Workstation 6.5.5 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit) Odd Problem

  I managed to successfully install VMWare Workstation 6.5.5 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit). It works well and somehow feels faster and snappier than the same exact version on Ubuntu 8.04. However, there is one slight issue, somewhat hurting productivity: When the guest VM is Microsoft Windows (2K, XP), the mouse cursor turn from an arrow to a hand when it hovers over the Task Bar. When the mouse moves, this hand cursor blinks and the system doesn't respond to mouse clicks. When I move the mouse cursor back to the desktop area, it functions normally. That is, the problem exists only in the Task Bar area. Obviously, this makes it very difficult (read: impossible) for me to use the Start Menu, SysTray and the rest of the Task Bar. My workaround for now is to launch programs via their Desktop shortcuts or via the keyboard. Note: The same exact VMWare Workstation 6.5.5 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 8.04 (64-bit) doesn't exhibit this problem. Anyone seen this problem before? Do you know of a solution (or better workaround) to this problem?

• Ubuntu12.04 crashed while trying to install Ubuntu14.04, no longer have access

  Posting from my laptop, as my Compaq desktop crashed. Not very computer saavy, and not sure what info I should provide...but here's a start: 9 year old desktop Compaq SR 1650NX, AMD Athlon 3500+ probably 1 gB ram (duh....) Was running 12.04....was attempting to upgrade to 14.04, not sure if I interrupted it. Pretty much stuck on (constantly redirected to) a page which says "GNU Grub version 1.99-2"; it offers several choices (as written): Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic (recovery mode) Previous Linux versions Memory Test (memtest86+) Memory Test (memtest86+, serial console 115200) But none of the selections seem to be able to get me anywhere (i.e., I click yes, but can't seem to run any commands - not that I know anything useful); I escape from those pages by repeatedly hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL Any help would be appreciated; will provide additional info when requested. Thanx (hopefully), in advance. (If I don't respond immediately, it just means I had to attend to other concerns...will leave page open and check back in as often as possible). FACE
