  • Large ResultSet on postgresql query

    I'm running a query against a table in a postgresql database. The database is on a remote machine. The table has around 30 sub-tables using postgresql partitioning capability. The query will return a large result set, something around 1.8 million rows. In my code I use spring jdbc support, method JdbcTemplate.query, but my RowCallbackHandler is not being called. My best guess is that the postgresql jdbc driver (I use version 8.3-603.jdbc4) is accumulating the result in memory before calling my code. I thought the fetchSize configuration could control this, but I tried it and nothing changes. I did this as postgresql manual recomended. This query worked fine when I used Oracle XE. But I'm trying to migrate to postgresql because of the partitioning feature, which is not available in Oracle XE. My environment: Postgresql 8.3 Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 64-bit JRE 1.6 64-bit Spring 2.5.6 Postgresql JDBC Driver 8.3-603

  • How to get rid of blank pages in PDF exported from SSRS

    Hi, I have a SSRS report. When i tried to export to PDF it was taking 4 pages due to its width., where the 2nd and 4th pages were displaying one of my field from the table. So i tried to set the layout size in report properties as width=18in and height =8.5in. It gave me the whole table in a single page of PDF. But I am getting 2nd and 4th page blank. Is the way I am doing is incorrect or else how to get rid of that blank pages. Please give some ideas. Thanks in advance. Brijit

  • Custom editor in QAbstractTableModel

    Does anyone have an example of using a QWidget as an editor in a QAbstractTableModel? I have a column which when edited should create a QCombobox with the list of choices. The docs seem to suggest I need to write a QAbstractItemDelegate and a custom paint function but that seems overkill to simply pop-up a standard QCombobox in Qt::EditRole. Note - the combo box contents are the same for every row and it only needs to be shown when somebody clicks in the cell. I know this should be simple but I can't get it to work. It's easy for a QTableWidget based table - but I need it for a very large data table.

  • Import text file crunching library for Java/Groovy ?

    In a lot of real life implementations of applications we face the requirement to import some kind of (text) files. Usually we would implement some (hardcoded?) logic to validate the file (eg. proper header, proper number of delimiters, proper date/time value,etc.). Eventually also need to check for the existence of related data in a table (eg. value of field 1 in text file must have an entry in some basic data table). While XML solves this (to some extend) with XSD and DTD, we end up hacking this again and again for proprietary text file formats. Is there any library or framework that allows the creation of templates similar to the xsd approach ? This would make it way more flexible to react on file format changes or implement new formats. Goal Instead of collecting several variables and naming them with keys individually, I have decided to give in and use an array structure to handle all inputs of the same type and rules. Once I have the variables, I will validate against them and if 'ok' store them in a MySQL table. The table will hold consumer information and will need to store multiple rows of the same type of information.     I have a custom php page that processes a feed of images and makes albums out of it. However whenever i add pictures to my feed, the Drupal page doesn't change until I clear the caches.     Let's say I have two tables that look like this: TH TH TH TH TD TD TD TD TD TD TD TD and TH TH TH TH TH TD TD TD TH TD TD TD I'd like to select the 3rd column in each. At first I was using nth-child as such: $('table tr td:nth-child(3)') But that's not going to work, as 3rd TD is in a different column in each table. What I need in pseudo code is 'get the 3rd TD or TH in each row'. I assume I need to use $.siblings but not entirely sure.

    I have three data models, Users, Conversations and Lines, where each conversation has many lines and certain participating users, each line has one conversation and one user and each user has many conversations and many lines. I have arranged these in ActiveRecord like this: class Line < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :conversation belongs_to :user end class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :conversations has_many :lines end class Conversation < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :lines has_and_belongs_to_many :users end If I want to create a new conversation with 4 users, where the users are either found or created inside the users table, how would I go about doing this? I thought I could do: c = Conversation.new c.users.find_or_create_by_username('myUsername') c.save But this will create a new username in the Users table even if that username already exists! (ie. running the above code 3 times will result in Users having 3 rows with 'myUsername' as the username, one for each conversation, rather than three conversations all with the same 'myUsername' entry listed in their associated users) I'm not sure how to search for this kind of information with google - can anyone help?

    Using VS 2010, with ASP.NET, and .NET 3.0, and C#... When I use a System.Web.UI.WebControls.SqlDataSource and call its Insert() method to insert a new row, and that table has an identity column, I'd like my method to return the value of that column. For example, in my SQL 2005 table, I've got: Customer.Id Customer.FirstName Customer.LastName Where Customer.Id is an identity colum. When I call my method InsertNewCustomerRecord( "John", "Smith" ), I'd like to be able to return the Customer.Id that gets automatically generated in the database.     “type” and “class” are likely reserved or problematic words in C# and/or Ruby, two languages I may use to program against my new database schema in the future. So, in order to avoid potential conflicts with those languages, I’m looking for alternative names for these field names in my tables. In this case, it is from my Machines table, where I have: “class” field (values would be something like “manual” or “computerized”) and “type” field (values would be “lathe” or “mill”) I could call the fields “machineclass” and “machinetype”, but that is inconsistent with naming scheme in the rest of my schema (meaning, I do not re-use the table name in the field… For instance, I use Machine.name, not Machine.machinename) Any thought on this madness?

  • How can I override an HTML "rules" attribute using CSS?

    The DITA Open Toolkit automatically inflicts some inline table attributes when one publishes to HTML, including frame="border" and rules="all". I need to override this "rules" attribute using CSS styles for cells, and while I can get the desired result in IE and Chrome, Firefox puts solid black gridlines in the table and refuses to budge on the matter. Obviously I can't edit the HTML, company policy is to not edit the XSLT, so how can I remove these gridlines using CSS alone? I've tried various cunning combinations of border-xxxxxx styles and given them !important declarations to no effect. Thanks, Andrew

    I'm trying to make a visual basic application which is connected to a Microsoft Access Database using OLEDB. Inside my database I have a user table with the following layout ID - Autonumber Username - Text Password - Text Email - Text To insert data into the table I use the following query INSERT INTO Users (Username, Password, Email) VALUES ('004606', 'Password', '[email protected]') However I seem to get an error with this statement and according to VB it's a syntax error. But then I tried to use the following query INSERT INTO Users (Username) Values ('004606') This query seemed to work absolutely fine... So the problem is I can insert into just one field but not all 3 (excluding the ID field because it's an autonumber). Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

However, if the user removes all of the OWN, WANT, and TRADE cards, they go to zero but it will leave the record in the database. I would prefer to have the record removed. Is checking after each "update" to see if all the columns = 0 the only way to do this? Or can I set a conditional trigger with something like: //psuedo sql AFTER update IF (OWN = 0, WANT = 0, TRADE = 0) DELETE What is the best way to do this? Can you help with the syntax?

Everyone must access that program and be able to put their scripts. Recover previous versions of script file. Execute these scripts over a selected database. Compare databases by procedures (not only by name, by content of procedure), functions, table columns, packages etc. I am searching a program like that. Which one do you suggest me?

    I am using following code to fetch images using database with php. while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) //To excute result query { echo "<a href='http://".$row['website']."' target='_blank'><img src=\"" . $PathImage . $row['logo'] . "\" height = $FooterWidth /></a>XX; } Here I am using $row[logo] is fetching the path of images stored on the server and XX to put the spaced between the images having the same color of text XX as background, and but I want to use the proper method I know this can be done using table but I want to do it without using table. Any Suggestions?
