  • Combining search button on google map and search API

    Basically, i have the google api search engine which will send back addresses based on the search by the user; And a map api which will go over to the selected place typed in the textbox. However, both of them are in different textboxes / buttons. i can't seem to be able to change the ids of the button to make ONE of the buttons function as two ways, which your able to get the address, and the map will move to the selected location.

    What open source (preferably gem-based) parser-generator options do I have in Ruby? I've used (flex&bison)|(lex&yacc) from C in the past, and I'm comfortable with BNF-style specifications. I've heard of treetop, but it looks a bit alien and verbose compared to yacc... Purpose: I want to convert my text markup language to a BNF and generate the parsing code.   • Is it possible ot mix named pipe with select in perl

    I need to write a daemon that supposed to have one TCP socket and one named pipe. Usually if I need to implement a multi IO server with "pure" sockets, the select based multi-IO model is always the one I will choose. so does anyone of you have ever used named pipe in select or you can just tell me it is impossible. thanks in advance.

  • EF exception: Could not find file CodeGenerationSchema.xsd

    I'm using Entity Framework for a new project (VS 2008, .net 3.5 sp1) and "reasonably happy" with it, especially compared to dataset-based solutions. One of recurring annoyances is "Could not find file CodeGenerationSchema.xsd" exception during application startup. Exception seems to re-appear rather frequently after changes to the model. Googling gives temporary and strange workarounds for this error: Delete .suo file, or Set Options Debugging General Enable Just My Code = On May be someone have more permanent, straightforward fix or can explain the reason of this issue.

    I've heard that OpenGL ES and standard iPhone UI controls don't play well together, but I'm wondering if anyone knows why, and what the effects are? I'm writing an OpenGL based game, and the view is loaded from a nib file with ui controls, and it seems to work ok, but the game is really simple at this point... does using ui controls cause some kind of performance hit?

  • CouchDB: accessing nested structutes in map function

    I have a document based on a xml structure that I have stored in a CouchDB database. Some of the keys contains namespaces and are on the form "namespace:key": {"mykey":{nested:key":"nested value"}} In the map function, I want to emit the nested value as a key, but the colon inside the name makes it hard... emit(doc.mykey.nested:key, doc) <-- will not work. Does anyone know how this can be solved?

I was thinking it may involve the use of the function Length and getting the arguments into a list. The intention is to iterate an operation based on the number of arguments for a function.     Any experiences on how to document Entity Framework 4 based Database projects? There is the Document and Summary properties on the Entities, but if we want to regenerate the model from the database at some point, it will be lost! Is there some way to map documentation data inside SQL to the Entities in the EDMX file so it is safe. Suggestions of other best practices? Ideally I want to be able to augo generate html/helpfile documentation from the DB when we deploy.

    Hi there, I have a php site that lets registered users login (with a valid passord) and sets up a session based on their UserID. However I'm pretty sure thisis being hijacked and I've found "new" files on my server I didn't put there. My site cleans all user input for SQL injections and XSS but this keeps happening. Has anyone got any ideas on how to solve this?

    I have a Club class and Player Class.The player class has an attribute Fav.clubs which will have unique club values.So the user is suppose to enter various club names.Based on the club names I have to retrieve those club objects and establish the relationship that this particular player has this Fav.clubs.The attribute Fav.clubs in Player class should store the names of Club .Now what I have to do is,take input from user about fav.clubs.This will be a list.After that traverse each element in the list and acc to string name find the corresponding club object and then store that object instance in Player class.

We are currently not in a position to deploy our application on top of App Engine because of limitations in the java frameworks (jboss seam 2.2.0) we are using to build our j2ee application. We would eventually want to deploy our production application on top of Google App Engine, but what are the short term options (java based open source products) which provides comparable functionality to Google App Engine's Image API and will have an easier migration path at a later point in time.

    I'm trying to build a rather specific query to find a set of user_ids based on topics they have registered to. Unfortunately it's not possible to refactor the tables so I have to go with what I've got. Single table with user_id and registration_id I need to find all user_ids that have a registration_id of (4 OR 5) AND NOT 1 Each row is a single user_id/registration_id combination. My SQL skills aren't the best, so I'm really scratching my brain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
