• How to change the value of progressbar in C#?

  Hi, I want to add an progress bar into my C# based application. I would like to know what is the good way of updating its value at particular events? My problem is, I have single function in UI which does all the processing.This function in turn calls many more functions, creates objects, updates database, etc. (basically performs all the work) and returns values in an output file. I have access to that function only. So in this how to update the progressbar's value at the end of each step? What is the best practice for this kind of situation? What is the good way to keep UI logic and business logic seperate? I want to avoid writting progressbar related code in my library code. Please suggest some solution. Thanks and Regards,

  Once the form submitted, response from another page is printed to #GameStorySys. But values entered to the form still stays there.   Hi all! I am trying to define a javascript class with an array property, and its subclass. The problem is that all instances of the subclass somehow "share" the array property: // class Test function Test() { this.array = []; this.number = 0; } Test.prototype.push = function() { this.array.push('hello'); this.number = 100; } // class Test2 : Test function Test2() { } Test2.prototype = new Test(); var a = new Test2(); a.push(); // push 'hello' into a.array var b = new Test2(); alert(b.number); // b.number is 0 - that's OK alert(b.array); // but b.array is containing 'hello' instead of being empty. why?   I'm mainly using c++ win32 API project and the question is asked keeping in mind: When you use microsoft visual studio 2010 visual c++ editor and you minimize any function, then ahead of the function you get a box; hovering over which you see the entire function. How to implement this in c++ win32 API ? for ex- when a win32 project is created in vs2010, and empty project checkbox is unchecked then by default you get a code which after running produces a window which has a menu bar containing File an Help.   I have a thumb nail inside another div, when the thumbnail is hovered I want the parent div to fade/transition to the background of the thumbnail, then fade back to the original image after hover.   I keep getting an uncaught syntex error which I know usually means your code has a missing closing something. I keep failing to see what it is that I am missing. The idea of the function is that it extracts the a links ID and Text content and add's it to an un-ordered list. The links have a class of 'ingredient_add' and the unordered list has an ID of 'ingredientsAdded'. Here's what I need: Everey minute the function shall check if it can load a certain page. if the connection succeeds, I want the page to be refreshed, if not, nothing shall happen, the script shall retry later. • jQuery: Scroll the window then addClass() - how to callback

  Inside a jQuery event handler, I would like to scroll the window and then add a class to something. This is my code: $('#foo').click(function() { window.scrollTo(y); $('#bar').addClass('active'); }); $(window).scroll(function() { $('#bar').removeClass('active'); }); Notice I have another handler to remove that same class whenever the window is scrolled. The scrolling part works fine, but seems to run asynchronously, so removeClass() happens after addClass() but before the scrolling is finished. I don't know how to do this in plain javascript. I know there is a jQuery scrollTop() function that does the same thing (but seems to have cross-browser issues), but it doesn't accept a callback. What I really need is a callback to add the class after the scrolling is finished. thanks!

When I include some function from a header file in a C++ program, does the entire header file code get copied to the final executable or only the machine code for the specific function is generated. For example, if I call std::sort from the <algorithm> header in C++, is the machine code generated only for the sort() function or for the entire <algorithm> header file. I think that a similar question exists somewhere on Stack Overflow, but I have tried my best to find it (I glanced over it once, but lost the link). If you can point me to that, it would be wonderful.

  So far I have: int SimplifyText(char chars[], int length) { //To lower for(int i=0; i<length; i++) { chars[i] = tolower(chars[i]); } This function simplifies the text in the first argument which is an array containing the number of characters as given in the second argument The requirements are: tolower all remove all non-alpha characters replace multiple whitespace by one blank. Any leading whitespace at the beginning of the array should be removed completely. The resulting number of characters should be returned as the value of the function. And the annoying part: Another array cannot appear in the function Cannot use strings, only char arrays. Cannot using G++'s extension for setting an array size using a variable. Oh and can't use regex :) I'm stuck with this, any help would be great. :)

I have testing if the page is recognizing the script using the alert function, but the script is not executing. • looping thru a list of checkboxes and saving the values, not working properly

  Hello all, I'm having a bit of a problem with this code. The program gives me a list of checkboxes but a user ID. then u user can change his selection and push the save button (id="btnSaveUserIntersts") and i am trying to save in the hidden textbox all the values of the checkboxes that was choosen. The problem is that i am getting all the time the same selections that came form the database and not getting the new selection that the user made. I want the user to be able to hover over this div but when the user hovers out of the div (mouseout i think its called) I want it to hide. Imagine a dropdown menu in css, the user hovers over the link and the sub nav is shown, when the user hovers out or away from the link and sub nav the sub nav dissapears. • Single C++/CLI method to wrap many type specific C functions

  I am wrapping a C library using C++/CLI so that the C library can be used easily from C# in a C#'ish way. Some of the functions in this library are for putting a value into a container. There are no generics in C so there exists a function per type CLIB_SetBool(BOOL value), CLIB_SetInt(int value), CLIB_SetString(char* string) and so on. To make it easier to use from C#, I have created a single Set function which takes a System::Object. I have two related questions: With my method how would you use a switch statement on the type of System::Object to call the correct CLIB_Setxxxx function. [typeid is only for unmanaged code and I can't seem to use GetType.] Is there a better way to wrap these functions like using a Generic? [I started using template specialisation but then realised that C# doesn't see templates.] Thanks.
