  • Reporting Services 2010 RDLC: Passing Querystring Parameters from an RDLC

    I'm trying to build a simple RDLC report that shows some data, and has a 'select' link that sends the browser off to a certain url with some data in the querystring (a key). In the vs2010 report designer, I can double-click on the column, then select action, and there are a bunch of thigns that seem like they might work. But none of them do. Under 'enable as a hyperlink' I can pick 'go to url' but there aren't any parameter options to pass. I also tried 'go to report' on the off chance that I could trick it into doing what I want. Here there are parameter options, but it knows that my url is not a report and the "select" link renders as text (not clickable). Any ideas? I'm pretty sure this used to work in vs2008, and it seems like something that must be doable. But I've been pulling out my hair for several hours on this one.

  • Cannot SSH after resetting firewall on VPS

    I'm having trouble trying to SSH to my Debian 5 VPS with blacknight. It was working fine until I did the following: Logged into 'Parallels Infrastructure Manager' - Container - Firewall - Set to 'Normal Firewall settings'. It told me there was an error with the IPTables and offered the option again with a checkbox to 'reset' firewall settings, I selected this. I can see that that the default rules are been applied ( anything from anyone on any port and allowing anything to happen).   • jquery - check length of input field?

    The code below is intended to enable the submit button once the user clicks in the textarea field. It works, but I'm trying to also make it so that it's only enabled if there's at least one character in the field. I tried wrapping it in: if($(this).val().length > 1) { } But, that didn't seem to work...   • InstallShield 2010 - 1603 Fatal Error [Windows Installer] (Windows 7 Only)

    Hi all, I created an MSI InstalScript Project where i deploy a web based (ASP.NET) precompiled project copying the files during installation in the \inetpub\wwwroot\projectnamefolder, creating an AppPool and the virtual dir of course in the IIS. The setup works great in windows XP Pro (SP3 i used). But soon as i try in Windows 7 (tried Ultimate and Home Premium) i get a -1603 Fatal Error during installation...Windows Installer Help (MSI.chm) or MSDN for more info.... Dying to fix this... [Edit] I think error occurs when trying to create the Application in the IIS. [FIXED] Enable 32 Bit Apllications needs to be true when creating Application Pools through InstallShield in a 64 bit OS!

    Hi all I have some troubles with ssl using httpclient on android i am trying to access public trusted certificate in details i want my app to trust all certificates. First i tried using this guide http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/sslguide.html on Desktop is working fine but on android i still got javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Not trusted server certificate. After searching in google i found some other examples how to enable ssl. http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/62d856cdcfa9f16e - Working when i use URLConnection but with HttpClient still got the exception. http://www.discursive.com/books/cjcook/reference/http-webdav-sect-self-signed.html - on Desktop using jars from apache is working but in android using included in SDK classes can't make it work. So any ideas how can i access trust public certificates on android using HttpClient

  • QLogic QLE8152 won't link up with a fiber loop

    I have a Dell R710 running Debian Linux 6.0 (Squeeze). I installed a QLogic QLE8152 CNA in the PCI-E riser today and I have been trying to get the CNA's ethernet layer to come up after I put a fiber loop on it; I also scoped it with a light meter, and the SFP+ transceiver is getting the correct amount of light. The whole time I have been working on this problem, the lights on the CNA are blinking green at a rate of about 1 flash every 3 seconds. When I plug the fiber into a Juniper EX4500 10GE in a rack next to it, the Juniper's link stays down as well. I have to confess that this is my first wrangling with a CNA, so perhaps I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, but here is what I have found so far... First the basics...   • windbg dv cmd fail - Private symbols (symbols.pri) are required for locals

    i have a C++ application compiled with VS 2008 with pdb file enabled. After i tried to use dv command to display local vars, it shows the following message: Unable to enumerate locals, HRESULT0x80004005 Private symbols (symbols.pri) are required for locals. Type ".hh dbgerr005" for details. Note that: i've run the "dv" command on the correct frame which has the symbol file. i can use "dt" command successfully. i've included the symbol path and the pdb file has been loaded successfully as following: start end module name 00400000 0043f000 helloworld (private pdb symbols) c:\test... Does anyone know the cause? Is there any configuration i missed to enable local var watch? Or VS 2008 pdb is not supported by windbg (i'm using the latest windbg version)?

So, I have done the following: I have the jboss-seam and jboss-seam-debug jars as dependency in both my ejb and web maven projects (both are modules of my superproject) I put this context parameter in my web.xml: <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.debug</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </context-param> Now, when I hit the URL of my application, I get the debug page with this exception (full stacktrace at the end of the post): Caused by java.lang.IllegalStateException with message: "No phase id bound to current thread (make sure you do not have two SeamPhaseListener instances installed)" From posts I read it seems that this is somehow related to two jars of jboss-seam or jboss-seam-debug being in the classpath. I opened my ear file and only one of each is present (in the ear) whereas the war itself has no libraries in the WEB-INF/lib. I have also read of another way to initialize debug page using the components.xml. They have an outer EAR project containing the inner WAR project. They discuss that this may be related to how jars end up in the projects. I use Maven, and I had set it to create "Skinny Wars", that is excluding all jar dependencies from the inner WAR project, so that it remains small in size. All its dependencies are contained in the EAR and are used by all other modules. I changed the settings of the maven-war-plugin to leave inside the war the web-specific jars (the ones mentioned in the link, like RichFaces, jboss-seam-debug, Facelets etc). However, the problem has reverted to its previous form. I now get the debug page, whatever link I press, with the initial exception.     Storyline Trying to migrate a database from MySQL to PostgreSQL. All the documentation I have read covers, in great detail, how to migrate the structure. I have found very little documentation on migrating the data. The schema has 13 tables (which have been migrated successfully) and 9 GB of data. MySQL version: 5.1.x PostgreSQL version: 8.4.x I want to use the R programming language to analyze the data using SQL select statements; PostgreSQL has PL/R, but MySQL has nothing (as far as I can tell). A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Create the database location (/var has insufficient space; also dislike having the PostgreSQL version number everywhere -- upgrading would break scripts!): sudo mkdir -p /home/postgres/main sudo cp -Rp /var/lib/postgresql/8.4/main /home/postgres sudo chown -R postgres.postgres /home/postgres sudo chmod -R 700 /home/postgres sudo usermod -d /home/postgres/ postgres All good to here.     What I would like to achieve is the ability to "dynamically" (i.e. based on a property defined in a configuration file) enable/disable the importing of a child Spring XML context. I imagine something like: <import condition="some.property.name" resource="some-context.xml"/> Where the property is resolved (to a boolean) and when true the context is imported, otherwise it isn't. Some of my research so far: Writing a custom NamespaceHandler (and related classes) so I can register my own custom element in my own namespace. For example: <myns:import condition="some.property.name" resource="some-context.xml"/> The problem with this approach is that I do not want to replicate the entire resource importing logic from Spring and it isn't obvious to me what I need to delegate to to do this. Overriding DefaultBeanDefinitionDocumentReader to extend the behaviour of the "import" element parsing and interpretation (which happens there in the importBeanDefinitionResource method). However I'm not sure where I can register this extension.

    for some reason, my visual studio 2010 is not loading debug symbols on my own code. i am using a default WPF application solution. with a sample WPF app i am working on, and running in Debug mode. when i go into debug, i can step through my code. BUT when exception happens in my code (i.e. throw new Exception("test")), visual studio gives me the blue blank screen with "No Source Available. No symbols are loaded blah blah.." AND i can actually "view" exception details, where it will tell me the line of code my exception occured on. so it does know what happened.. it seems. it seems to think that PDB files are not loaded. my setup: options Deubg "Enable just my code (managed only)" is checked. application properties : 1 project running in Debug x86

  • jQuery autocomplete disabled makes autocomplete partially transparent, not disabled

    I'm using the jQuery UI's "autocomplete" function on a search on my site. When you change a radio button from 'area search" to "name search" I want it to disable the autocomplete, and re-enable it when you switch back. However, when you disable the autocomplete it doesn't hide the dropdown, it just dims it to 20% opacity or so.     I am working with JSF 1.1, Ajax4JSF. What I find is if I enable a4j:support for some of JSF's inputText items, it is not working as expected. I have something like this in the code <h:inputText value="#{bean.desc}"> <a4j:support event="onkeyup" reRender="id"/> </h:inputText> And what I find is, sometimes it does not work, for example, I type TEST on the input text box and what transfers is only the "T" to the backing bean. One more problem that I see is, when I submit the form, some of the values are not getting set in the backing bean. The setter methods are not called at all. I do not think this is working properly in my env, is it this combination of JSF1.1,Ajax4JSF and websphere6.1 is not supported or is there anyway I can troubleshoot this ?

    I use JQTouch for an iPhone app. JQtouch disable by default the possibility to pinch&zoom the page. For one page (containing a big image), i need to enable the pinch & zoom feature. I am looking for something like setScale(1), or to change an attribute like current-scale=1 Any idea ?

    After browsing the MVC section on CodePlex I noticed that the [Authorize] attribute in MVC returns a HttpUnauthorizedResult() when authorization fails (codeplex AuthorizeAttribute class). In the source of HttpUnauthorizedResult() from CodePlex is the code (I'm not allowed to enter another URL as my rep isn't high enough, but replace the numbers on the URL above with 22929#266476): // 401 is the HTTP status code for unauthorized access - setting this // will cause the active authentication module to execute its default // unauthorized handler context.HttpContext.Response.StatusCode = 401; In particular, the comment describes the authentication module's default unauthorized handler. I can't seem to find any information on this default unauthorized handler. In particular, I'm not using FormsAuthentication and when authorization fails I get an ugly IIS 401 error page. Does anyone know about this default unauthorized handler, and in particular how FormsAuthentication hooks itself in to override it? I'm writing a really simple app for my football team who confirm or deny whether they can play a particular match. If I enable FormsAuthentication in the web.config the redirect works, but I'm not using FormsAuthentication and I'd like to know if there's a workaround.

  • Django doesn't refresh my request object when reloading the current page.

    I have a Django web site which I want ot be viewable in different languages. Until this morning everything was working fine. Here is the deal. I go to my say About Us page and it is in English. Below it there is the change language button and when I press it everything "magically" translates to Bulgarian just the way I want it. On the other hand I have a JS menu from which the user is able to browse through the products. I click on 'T-Shirt' then a sub-menu opens bellow the previously pressed containing different categories - Men, Women, Children. The link guides me to a page where the exact clothes I have requested are listed. BUT... When I try to change the language THEN, nothing happens. I go to the Abouts Page, change the language from there, return to the clothes catalog and the language is changed... I will no paste some code. You don't have to understand it or even look at all of it. I've published it just in case because I really can't understand the origins of the bug. Now this is how I have narrowed the problem. I am debuging with "raise Exception(request)" every time I want to know what's inside my request object. When I place this in my aboutUs method, the language cookie value changes every time I press the language button. But NOT when I am in the displayClothes method. There the language stays the same. Also I tried putting the exception line in the beginning of the @base method. It turns out the situation there is exactly the same. When I am in my About Us page and click on the button, the language in my request object changes, but when I press the button while in the catalog page it remains unchanged. That is all I could find, and I have no idea as to how Django distinguishes my pages and in what way. P.S. The JavaScript I think works perfectly, I have tested it in multiple ways.   • Running each JUnit test in a separate JVM in Eclipse?

    I have a project with nearly 500 individual tests in around 200 test classes. Some of these tests don't do a great job of tearing down their own state after they're finished, and in Eclipse this results in some tests failing. The tests all pass when running the test suite from the command line via Ant. Can I enable 'test isolation' somehow in Eclipse? I don't mind if it takes longer to run. Long term, I will clean up the misbehaving tests, but in the short term I'd like to get the tests working.

    Anyone know why only undirectional serialization is supported in the Linq designer? Consider the following example: Say we have a Customer who requested an Order containing Products. We set the Serialization Mode in the Linq designer to Unidirectional to enable serialization. When looking at the code for the Order object, the DataMember attribute is added to all its internal properties such as ID,OrderNumber, etc. and also to the EntitySet of Products, but not to Customer. One can get around this by manually adding the DataMember attribute to Customer, but this becomes quite cumbersome when there's loads of entities in the database.

The server is running, but the error I always get when I try to use ldapsearch or ldapadd is: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) I've been following these tutorials, but none of them helped me: http://www.howtoforge.com/openldap_fedora7 http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/ref-guide/s1-ldap-quickstart.html http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_ldap_authentication http://docs.fedoraproject.org/deployment-guide/f12/en-US/html/s1-ldap-pam.html http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/quickstart.html First, some components were already installed, and I installed these with yum: yum install openldap-servers openldap-devel Then, I created a basic slapd.conf file in /etc/openldap: database bdb suffix "dc=sniejana-sandbox,dc=com" rootdn "cn=root,dc=sniejana-sandbox,dc=com" rootpw {SSHA}cxdz55ygPu4T3ykg7dgu+L0VRvsFSeom directory /var/lib/ldap/sniejana-sandbox.com I obtained the rootpw with this command: slappasswd -s changeme I also created the /var/lib/ldap/sniejana-sandbox.com directory and made sure the entire contents of /var/lib/ldap were owned by the ldap user. I found two ldap.conf files, one in /etc and one in /etc/openldap. I don't know which is the right one. If I understood correctly, this file is to configure the client. I put this in both: HOST localhost BASE dc=sniejana-sandbox,dc=com I then ran the server with: service slapd start It said OK. Most of the tutorials above say to use the command ldapsearch -D "cn=Manager,dc=my-domain,dc=com" -W to ensure that everything's working. When I execute this command, a password prompt appears, and after entering the password, I get the error. ldapsearch -D "cn=root,dc=sniejana-sandbox,dc=com" -W Enter LDAP password: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) The same thing happens when trying to use ldapadd. I tried with an encrypted and unencrypted password in slapd.conf, it doesn't change anything. Adding a -x for simple authentication doesn't change anything either. netstat -ap confirms the server is listening: tcp 0 0 *:ldap *:* LISTEN 4148/slapd tcp 0 0 *:ldap *:* LISTEN 4148/slapd ps -ef|grep slapd confirms the process is running: ldap 4148 1 0 15:22 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/slapd -h ldap:/// -u ldap Running slaptest procudes config file testing succeeded. I read somewhere that the command ldapsearch -x -b '' -s base '(objectclass=*)' namingContext can confirm the server is running. It appears to work: # extended LDIF # # LDAPv3 # base <> with scope baseObject # filter: (objectclass=*) # requesting: namingContext # # dn: # search result search: 2 result: 0 Success # numResponses: 2 # numEntries: 1 I'm running out of ideas. Am I missing something obvious?

  • m2eclipse and WTP and adding local project source

    Hi, I have a spring mvc project in eclipse, and its setup to use maven. I can resolve all my external dependencies, but now I want to include another local project in my workspace. Normally, I would do this through the java build path, and add a project reference. But if I do that manually, m2eclipse just removes those references from my classpath file. I'm assuming this is because maven wants to handle all dependencies. So I enable dependency management on the local project (the source files i want to include), and now when I add dependencies, this project shows up, and it adds it as a jar type (which is correct). I also ran maven-package to create a snapshot of the source project. But the jar is never added in the maven library list, and the project doesn't build because it can't find the classes. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help!

  • Hibernate Schema Validation Fails on Oracle Table Synonyms

    I'm developing a Java web application that uses Hibernate (annotations-based) for persisting entities to an Oracle 11g database. The DBA created synonyms for the tables and requested that I use these synonyms instead of the physical tables. (Eg: Table "Foo" has synonym "S_Foo") If I have "hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto=validate" enabled, then the application fails on startup with "Missing Table: S_Foo". If I turn off the validation, then the app starts up fine and works properly. My guess is that Hibernate only checks against physical tables and not synonyms when validating that a table exists. Is there any way to enable Hibernate schema validation with synonyms? Can I specify both a physical table and a synonym in the annotation? I prefer having that extra safety check that the table structure is correct when the application starts up.
