  How can I use a TEnumerator to go through my TDictionary in sorted order by key? I've got something like this: var Dic: TDictionary<string, string>; begin Dic := TDictionary<string, string>.create; Dic.Add('Tired', 'I have been working on this too long'); Dic.Add('Early', 'It is too early in the morning to be working on this'); Dic.Add('HelpMe', 'I need some help'); Dic.Add('Dumb', 'Yes I know this example is dumb'); { The following is what I don't know how to do } for each string1 (ordered by string1) in Dic do some processing with the current Dic element Dic.Free; end; So I would like to process my dictionary in the order: Dumb, Early, HelpMe, Tired. Unfortunately the Delphi help is very minimal in describing how TEnumerator works and gives no examples that I can find. There is also very little written on the web about using Enumerators with Generics in Delphi.

  Only comments associated with the current page should be listed, so once again the query is modified to include the page ID. In this case, though, we also have to pass the pageid argument, which will in turn get passed to any h.url_for() calls in the paginator. from http://pylonsbook.com/en/1.1/simplesite-tutorial-part-2.html i cannot get this to work, the paginator does not pass things to the h.url_for, i followed the tutorial. i had to add pageid to the h.url_for in list.html. how do i solve? part of the code: ${h.link_to( comment.id, h.url_for( controller=u'comment', action='view', id=unicode(comment.id) ) )} but it does not work properly until i put in ${h.link_to( comment.id, h.url_for( controller=u'comment', action='view', id=unicode(comment.id), pageid = c.page.id ) )}

• C++ namespace alias and forward declaration

  I am using a C++ third party library that places all of its classes in a versioned namespace, let's call it tplib_v44. They also define a generic namespace alias: namespace tplib = tplib_v44; If a forward-declare a member of the library in my own .h file using the generic namespace... namespace tplib { class SomeClassInTpLib; } ... I get compiler errors on the header in the third-party library (which is being included later in my .cpp implementation file): error C2386: 'tplib' : a symbol with this name already exists in the current scope If I use the version-specific namespace, then everything works fine, but then ... what's the point? What's the best way to deal with this?

• How can I change from docbook to restructuredText?

  I have a 30-ish page manual in docbook. However, working with docbook is so painful that I don't really update it. I want to switch to restructedText instead. I can't find any direct translator (the best I could find is ezComponents, but it fails on the docbook sgml). Maybe there is an indirect route through RTF or some other format, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas? PS The current conversion process is: docbook -> jade -> html docbook -> jade -> tex -> pdflatex -> pdf

DONE In your .NET project, add a reference to the ManagedOpenSsl.dll assembly. DONE I have put libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll in both my bin/Debug and bin/Release directories. I have also put them in system32. However, the Text property is not updated.   Hi, My project has a requirement to implement look-ahead caching i.e. triggering another request on invokation of a specific request. The following details in short the implementation - HttpModule parses the SOAPRequest and matches entry in a configuration file for look-ahead candidate. If the request matches, it prepares the Parameters dictionary and starts appropriate workflow. Single workflow runtime is used across all requests is ensured through initializing the runtime instance at Application_Start event and stored in Application Dictionary. Using persistence service and DefaultScheduler service. We can't implement windows service model, as current requirement mandates passing the SOAPRequest parameters as arguments. ManualSchedulerService is not in contention due to synchronous nature of it's actual behaviour. Still the performance is pretty bad and product team is not happy. Can anybody suggest me better solution? Thanks, Samir

  I've got DirectShow based screen capture software. Internally it calls CopyScreenToBitmap function to grab screen. Then the picture is compressed by ffdshow. It works fine as a desktop application, but as window service, on certain computers it does not work (black picture). I've set 'Allow service to interact with desktop' and run that service on current user account. Any ideas what could be wrong? I test it on windows XP, but it is expected to work on Vista and 7 as well. Yes it works as desktop application on all computers, but on some of them (on majority of them) it fails as a service.

  I built a template-based document generator using the Open XML SDK (1.0), the Word 2007 Content Control Toolkit and LINQ to SQL (using the CodeSmith PLINQO templates). To do this, I serialized the LINQ to SQL entities to XML by retrieving the entity using DataLoadOptions specified in the source code. This works great, except that to initially populate the XML in my template, I currently have to copy and paste the XML from the Immediate window in VS2008 into the Content Control Toolkit, and it still has all the data from the current entity. I'm looking for two solutions: 1) Is this a good way to build a document generator with Word 2007? 1) How can I generate just the XML I need without the data? I've thought of creating an XSD and then creating an empty XML document, but wasn't sure how to do that programatically so that a business user can get the XML for the template. (That's not a requirement, just a nice-to-have.) Thanks for your feedback, Ryan

• iOS Efficiency File Saving Efficiency

  I was working on my iOS app and my goal is to save a file that I am receiving from the internet bit by bit. My current setup is that I have a NSMutableData object and I add a bit of data to it as I receive my file. After the last "packet" is received, I write the NSData to a file and the process is complete. I'm kind of worried that this isn't the ideal way to do it because of the limitations of RAM in a mobile device and it would be problematic to receive large files. My next thought was to implement a NSFileHandle so that as the file arrives, it would be saved to the disk, rather than the virtual memory. In terms of speed and efficiency, which method do you think will work decently on an iOS device. I am currently using the first, NSMutableData approach. Is it worth changing my app to use the NSFileHandle? Thanks in advance, Guvvy

  I need to work with an old repository, whose db/format contains 2 From this question, I understand that this means it's version 1.4. I have only 1.5 executables, which produce a db/format containing 3 layout sharded 1000 I've tried to use the 1.5 svnadmin to verify the 1.4 repo, but it fails with 'vnadmin: Unknown FS type 'fsfs If anyone's got any ideas on how to fix this, that'd be great. My current working plan is to obtain 1.4 executables. The problem I have is that I've done a fair amount of searching, and I can't find any SubVersion 1.4 executable downloads. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

  Hi, Can anyone advise if its possible to pass data via JQUERY to an ASP.NET MVC controller action and have a view rendered in new browser tab based on the model data passed to the action method. My scenario is that I have a Jqgrid populated with product info on a page. The user would tick the items in the grid that they would like a label produced for. After they've made their slection they would click a button and I would like (if possible) to render a view of that contains a label for each selected item and have the view render in a new browser tab. All the code to allow the selections and post the relevant data back to the action method is all working fine and I know its easy to use the Jquery $(selector).load() command to populate an element on the current page with the HTML returned from the action. But is it possible to populate an element on a page in a new browser tab. If it is how would I go about it? Hope this make sense.

  Hello, I want to make a 3d scene that loops around on its self. That is to say, if you keep going in any direction, you will loop back to the other side. My current implementation is so bad, it's embarrassing to admit to it. I redraw the each change twenty-seven times, to make a 3x3x3 scene cube. When the user reaches the end of the middle cube, I jump them over to the other side. Maintaining consistency (let alone performance) is a nightmare. Total Disaster. This doesn't seem like it would be an unusual request, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a more legit solution. Thanks!

  I understand the sharded counter, here: http://code.google.com/appengine/articles/sharding_counters.html The problem is that a simple counter will not work in my application. I am sorting my entities by a particular variable so I am returned not so much a count, but more of a rank. My current method is: SELECT COUNT(this) FROM Entity.class WHERE value <= ? Result + 1 is then the rank of the parameter in relation to the value variable in the persistent Entity objects. The limitation of this is the highest rank being returned is 1001 because count() can give a maximum of 1000. The reason I cannot store the rank on the Entity object is that the ranks are updated very often, and re-setting this rank variable would be much too costly. Any ideas on the best way to accomplish this?

  I recently received a project that contains multiple web applications with no MVC structure. For starters I've created a library (DLL) that will contain the main Business Logic. The problem is with Caching - If I use the current web context cache object than I might end up with duplicate caching (as the web context will be different for every application). I'm currently thinking about implementing a simple caching mechanism with a singleton pattern that will allow the different web sites (aka different application domains) to share their "caching wisdom". I'd like to know what is the best way to solve this problem.

  So I have a little bit of a problem. I working on a project in C# using The StackOveflow API. You can send it a request like so: http://stackoverflow.com/users/rep/126196/2010-01-01/2010-03-13 And get back something like this JSON response: [{"PostUrl":"1167342", "PostTitle":"Are ref and out in C# the same a pointers in C++?", "Rep":10}, {"PostUrl":"1290595", "PostTitle":"Where can I find a good tutorial on bubbling?", "Rep":10} ... So my problem is that I have some methods like GetJsonResponse() which return the above JSON and SaveTempFile() which saves that JSON response to a temporary file for later use. I not sure if I should create a class for them, or what namespace to put them under. Right now my current namespace hierarchy is like so: StackOverflow.Api.Json. So how should I organize these methods/classes/namespaces?

  Hello everybody, I have a JSF application and when user click on button I want to open a web page. Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri); probably opens a web page on server side, how to do it on client side? when i try Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri); it works, but maybe its because I open the JSF application on localhost so I dont know if the opened uri is on server side or client side. In the specification for getDesktop() its written: getDesktop() Returns the Desktop instance of the current browser context. Thanks!

• Built in method to encode ampersands in urls returned from Url.Action?

  I am using Url.Action to generate a URL with two query parameters on a site that has a doctype of XHTML strict. Url.Action("ActionName", "ControllerName", new { paramA="1" paramB="2" }) generates: /ControllerName/ActionName/?paramA=1&paramB=2 but I need it to generate the url with the ampersand escaped: /ControllerName/ActionName/?paramA=1&amp;paramB=2 The fact that Url.Action is returning the URL with the ampersand not escaped breaks my HTML validation. My current solution is to just manually replace ampersand in the URL returned from Url.Action with an escaped ampersand. Is there a built in or better solution to this problem?

  I've got a View.xaml with the following set in Resources-section: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:MyFirstViewModel}"> <Views:MyFirstView Content="{Binding}" /> </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:MySecondViewModel}"> <Views:MySecondView Content="{Binding}"/> </DataTemplate> In the content of the View.xaml I have: <!-- SelectedMyViewModel is either set to MyFirstViewModel or MySecondViewModel --> <ContentControl Content="{Binding SelectedMyViewModel}" /> When the SelectedMyViewModel changes I'd like to have a animation, so that the current view is faded out and the new view is faded in... Somehow I feel this should be possible via the VisualStateManager - but I can't figure out how! This is a WPF 4.0 project...

  I have the below SQLITE code SELECT x.t, CASE WHEN S.Status='A' AND M.Nomorebets=0 THEN S.PriceText ELSE '-' END AS Show_Price FROM sb_Market M LEFT OUTER JOIN (select 2010 t union select 2020 t union select 2030 t union select 2040 t union select 2050 t union select 2060 t union select 2070 t ) as x LEFT OUTER JOIN sb_Selection S ON S.MeetingId=M.MeetingId AND S.EventId=M.EventId AND S.MarketId=M.MarketId AND x.t=S.team WHERE M.meetingid=8051 AND M.eventid=3 AND M.Name='Correct Score' With the current interface restrictions, I have to use the above code to ensure that if one selection is missing, that a '-' appears. Some feed would be something like the following SelectionId Name Team Status PriceText =================================== 1 Barney 2010 A 10 2 Jim 2020 A 5 3 Matt 2030 A 6 4 John 2040 A 8 5 Paul 2050 A 15/2 6 Frank 2060 S 10/11 7 Tom 2070 A 15 Is using the above SQL code the quickest & efficient?? Please advise of anything that could help. Messages with updates would be preferable.
