    Im looking for a tool that can watch database(mysql and oracle) for changes. When someone inserts or updates something in any table i want to get to know about it. I know that it can be done using triggers(http://stackoverflow.com/questions/167254/watching-a-table-for-change-in-mysql), but im more interested in some tool that can do it. free tool.

  • Is support for recovering purchases mandatory for consumable products?

    Apple's documentation for iOS 7 makes me think it is not, for it makes a distinction between "restored by the system" (i.e. built into iOS 7), "restored by your app" (i.e. functionality required inside app"), and "not required". The fact there being three (and not two) options and product type "consumable" being marked as "not restored" makes me think that an app that does not support restoring consumable product may still pass Apple's review process. However this popular question and answer seem to suggest that such support is required ("I read somewhere ...") But would this not amount to "consumable" taking on "restored by your app" semantics, which seems to contradict the quoted piece of Apple documentation.

    Hi All, I am trying to automate installation of an application using Pywinauto.During the installation the last window shows some warning or error messages in few cases and later the system begins to restart.My objective is to capture the the Warning messages which is possible by app.top_window_()._ctrl_identifiers() np.Notepad.Edit.TypeKeys(a,with_spaces=True, with_tabs=True, with_newlines=True) This is returning a list which contains all the messages of the screen.     I have the following VBA code inside an Excel macro: With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add( _ Connection:=ConnStr, _ Destination:=ActiveSheet.Range("A1"), _ Sql:=SqlStr) .Refresh End With And yet I am getting the error: "Run-time error '1004': Application-defined or object-defined error." The debugger points to this code as the source of error. Assuming that my ConnStr and SqlStr are correct, why am I getting this error? I am using Excel 2007 and I am querying an Oracle database.

    There's a field with type of varchar. It actually stores a float point string. Like 2.0 , 12.0 , 34.5 , 67.50 ... What I need is a update statement that remove the ending zeros of fields like 2.0 , 12.0 , change them to their integer representation , that is 2 , 12 ...,and leave 3.45 , 67.50 unchanged . How should I do this ? I am using oracle 10.

    I've got a table (col1, col2, ...) with an index on (col1, col2, ...). The table has got millions of rows in it, and I want to run a query: SELECT col1, COUNT(col2) WHERE col1 NOT IN (<couple of exclusions>) GROUP BY col1 Unfortunately, this is resulting in a full table scan of the table, which takes upwards of a minute. Is there any way of getting oracle to use the index on the columns to return the results much faster?

  • In Sharepoint, how do I update the name of a folder in a document library using the web service API?

    I'm using the UpdateListItems method of the Lists web service, and I can update an item in just about any kind of list, and folders in non-document library lists, but I can't seem to update the name of a folder in a document library. I must use the web services API, as sharepoint is not local. If my update batch looks like this: <Batch OnError="Continue" PreCalc="TRUE" ListVersion="0" ViewName=""> <Method ID="1" Cmd="Update"> <Field Name="ID">2</Field> <Field Name="Title">MyUpdatedFolderName</Field> <Field Name="FileLeafRef">MyUpdatedFolderName</Field> </Method> </Batch> I get no exception but the name is unchanged. If my update batch looks like this: <Batch OnError="Continue" PreCalc="TRUE" ListVersion="0" ViewName=""> <Method ID="1" Cmd="Update"> <Field Name="ID">2</Field> <Field Name="Title">MyUpdatedFolderName</Field> <Field Name="BaseName">MyUpdatedFolderName</Field> </Method> </Batch> I get an error result that the list item could not be found.   • SQL to have one specific record at the top, all others below

    Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.

  • utl_file.FCLOSE() is slow with large files

    We are using utl_file in Oracle 10g to copy a blob from a table row to a file on the file system and when we call utl_file.fclose() it takes a long time. It's a 10mb file, not very big, and it takes just over a minute to complete. Anyone know why this would be so slow? Thanks

  • How can you tell which columns are unused in ALL_TAB_COLS?

    When you query the ALL_TAB_COLS view on Oracle 9i, it lists columns marked as UNUSED as well as the 'active' table columns. There doesn't seem to be a field that explicitly says whether a column is UNUSED, or any view I can join to that lists the unused columns in a table. How can I easily find out which are the unused columns, so I can filter them out of ALL_TAB_COLS?
