  • Ctrl-Backspace Visual Studio 2010

    I recently upgraded to Visual Studio 2010 and found out that when i press Ctrl-Backspace on a empty line it will delete the line, which is what it did in 2008, but then it will also delete the last character on the line above. I have tried to see if there is any settings anywhere but i cant seem to find any. Does anyone know if you can change this or did they make it default in 2010 Im using C#, if that makes a difference.

    If I wanna authenticate windows accounts to AD when a user browses to an apache-running site on a Linux server, here are the usual suspects:   * mod_ntlm (which I used in a distant past) - last update on 2003 * mod_auth_ntlm_winbind - last update on 04/2007 * mod_auth_kerb - last update on 12/2008 No luck getting any of those to work with a recent, fully patched, windows 2000 AD server. I need to make a simple GUI in Visual Studio 2008 using C Sharp that uses a Dave Coffins DCRAW written in C but I don't know how to "connect" dcraw.c (DCRAW source code) file with Csharp... UFRAW is the example of grafical interface that uses dcraw but I can't find it's source code. My application should be very simple: to recognize raw file on digital camera or any disc and uses one interpolatio algorithm on that raw file.

  • Internet Explorer 10 auto-correct randomly capitalises words

    I use Internet Explorer 10 on my Windows 7 laptop (because the fingerprint browser add-on only works in IE). I have noticed that IE 10 has a built-in spellchecker, which is great. Now, I write about 90 % English and 10 % Swedish on web sites, so it is somewhat unfortunate that it isn't possible to change the spell-checker language 'on-the-fly'. But that's a minor issue. The main problem is that, when I write English comments, the spell-checker (apparently randomly) capitalises some Words. For instance, the 'words' of the previous sentence was changed automatically to 'Words'. Another Word that is Always capitalised is Before. (Yes, the Three Words that are incorrectly capitalised in the previous sentence are due to the auto-correct 'feature', and apparently 'three' is also a problematic word.) Is this really something that happens to every (bilingual) user? Is there any way to fix the issue (preferably without disabling the spell-checker altogether)?

    I know it is rather heated question. But anyway I'd like to hear opinions of those in Stackoverflow. Given that XML support is quite good in SQL Server 2005/2008, and there's no concern about database independency, why one need Linq-to-SQL, Entity Framework, NHibernate and the likes, which are quite complex and awkward in advanced use-cases, if by using POCOs, XmlSerializer, and stored procedures which process XML, one can achieve a lot less complex middle-tier?     Hello, Q1 - As far as I know, Visual Studio doesn’t use aspnet_compiler.exe when compiling web application projects. And since Web Deployment Projects (WDP) tool is only used for manipulation the output created by aspnet_compiler.exe, I don’t understand how VS 2008 also has an option for using WDP with web application projects?! I found gnome-shell today, that seemed awesome. There are other ones, less well known, For eg, Abiword is far better than Open Office Org Word processor in many ways. However, what I want to express is that I want the Events where Data CONTAINS the word "Error" . . . how do I express that? I've Goggled around, but I can find no references to Regular Expression like pattern matching in the Event Viewer. XPath has "contains", but if Event Viewer will support it, I cannot seem to figure out the syntax for invoking it.

  • Excel - Avoid cell text to be shown onto next empty cell

    When you have text in an Excel cell that is too long to be shown in the visible area of a single cell and the cell next to the first cell (the one on the right) is empty, Excel lets the text to be printed onto the next cell. This is what I want to change. I want to avoid this text overflow. I know I can avoid this by enabling "word wrap" and adjusting row height. But that is not what I want. I want to change the DEFAULT behavior of Excel so it shows the value of each cell only in the visible area of that cell. No overflow, no word wrap. Is this possible? (I am using Excel 2010 by the way)

  • TextMate - completion using an external file or file contained in project?

    Does anyone know how to get TextMate to search an external file (or even the files contained in a TextMate "project") with which to perform word completion? I'm coding some stuff on the C64 (using TextMate to write the code) and I have an external file containing labels for all of the hardware registers/kernal routines e.g VIC2InteruptStatus = $D019 It would be really handy to be able to type, say, 'VIC2I' then press the key for word completion and have TextMate find matches in the external library file. Rather than how I'm having to do it at the moment by opening the library file and copy-paste the register names into my code.

  • Can Perforce and SourceSafe co-exist in Visual Studio?
