TMG Forefront Proxy blocking internal HTTP requests

I have TMG Forefront with Proxy installed and configured. However, whenever I make internal HTTP requested to servers on the internal network with a fully qualified dns name, the proxy denies the connection. This is an internal call, so it should block it. If I use only http://app-01:9871/internalwebserver_deploy/MyServiceService.svc?wsdl, without the domain after the server name, then it doesn't get blocked. 10.50.75.10 is the firewall's ip, and the internal network's gateway.

MOSS Upload Size?

Cannot connect to Xen domU via VNC if X isn't installed on domU

I'm trying to build a Xen domU that can be connected through the Xen's VNC server. In this case all I got is a blank screen. Besides, if the domU has X, the screen is still blank until the login prompt appears, while it should be like this. Some information that may be useful: The domU and the dom0 both run CentOS 5.5. If the domU has X, it can be connected even when both X and the domU's VNC server isn't running. The VNC client is RealVNC.

Vista Startup Repair cannot repair my Toshiba Laptop (L300D)

I installed some updates, and now the computer doesn't boot up, it just keep's telling me to go to repair, which doesn't fix the problem. I see the BSOD on startup, but it flashes by too quick. Long file path returning 404 for "hello.htm"

Hello, I have a long file path that works on my server, but a simliar path returns a 404 error when it is on my clients (IIS6) server (http://ddmat.com/). Here's the functioning file path on my server: http://www.forgefx.com/projects/ddmat/install/Application Files/McCurdys_1_0_0_0/Content/FBX/CCAE1B33/Roof-sectionB-02.fbm/hello.htm My guesses: Maybe the file path is too long? Maybe the ".fbm" in the directory path is invalid? Sorry for the vauge problem description. Please let me know what additional info I can provide that'd be helpful. Unable to access local network when Cisco VPN client is connected

I'm a developer and don't have much networking expertise, so bear with me. I'm using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.02.0090 to connect to my work's VPN that way I can RDP into my work computer. Once connected, I can't ping anything on the local network once connected to the VPN thus I am unable to access my work's network. This used to work about two weeks ago but abruptly stopped working today. However, I have the Cisco VPN Client installed on my laptop and I am able to ping and RDP into my work computer from there. Both my desktop and laptop computers are connected to the same router at home. I have tried the following so far: Rebooted my computer Reinstalled VPN client Updated NIC drivers Disabled firewall Opened up ports 500, 4500, and 10000 Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Login loop in Snow Leopard

I can't get out of a login loop of a particular admin user. After entering the password the login screen is shown again after about a minute. Other users work fine. It started happening after a simple reboot. Can you please help me? Thank you! How to set the default file permissions on ALL newly created files in linux

My question is similar to this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/228534/linux-default-file-permission but there is no scp/ftp client involved and that question looks abandoned. Simply put: I want to be able to, at some global level decree that all newly created files will never have world writable permissions (0775). I tried putting a umask 02 in /etc/profile then in my bash_profile but it only works for scripts or new files that I create in a shell. It doesn't work for files that another binary creates. Is there anyway to have all new files that are created?

Linux halts every few seconds

We're having an issue where one our Linux boxes (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, running on EC2 with a quadruple-large size, 68GB of RAM and 8 virtual cores with 3.25GHz each) freezes up every few seconds. Typing in an ssh session will freeze, and running strace on one of the Postgresql processes that's running usually shows: 02:37:41.567990 semop(7831581, {{3, -1, 0}}, 1 for a few seconds before it proceeds (it always gets stuck at that semop). OProfile shows that most of the time is spent in the kernel (60%) versus 37% in Postgresql. The result of these halts (which began suddenly a day ago) is that load on the box has gone from 0.7 to 10+, and causes our entire stack to slow done. Any ideas on how to track down what's going on? iostat doesn't show the disks being particularly slow or overloaded, and top shows user cpu % spike from 8% to about 40% whenever these back-ups happen.

Windows 7 randomly installs an "Unknown Device" successfully

Rarely (several days to weeks between occurrences,) and seemingly at random, I get a balloon notification from Windows 7 (x64 SP1 Home Premium) that it is installing hardware for me. Whatever is being installed does so without error. However, no new hardware has been installed or plugged in! When I click the balloon it doesn't give me any useful information: Looking in the event log, I find this entry: Event ID: 20001 Source: UserPnp Task Category: 7005 Message: Driver Management concluded the process to install driver FileRepository\usb.inf_amd64_neutral_153b489118ee37b8\usb.inf for Device Instance ID USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\6&3AF9A177&0&0060&&02 with the following status: 0x0. It appears to be USB related. My motherboard has both USB 2.0 and 3.0 controllers. My keyboard and mouse are plugged into the 2.0 slots and the data/recharge cable for a tablet (but not the tablet itself) was plugged in to the 3.0 slot. No other USB devices have been attached for several days/reboots. Why is Windows doing this?

My server running magento is 4gb ram and 4 core cpu. But still i am struggling with the high CPU usage. I only have 10 visitors at any given point of time. I am not sure if the PHP has to take this high % CPU usage. Sending cron output to a file with a timestamp in its name

I have a crontab like this on a LAMP setup: 0 0 * * * /some/path/to/a/file.php > $HOME/cron.log 2>&1 This writes the output of the file to cron.log. However, when it runs again, it overwrites whatever was previously in the file. How can I get cron to output to a file with a timestamp in its filename? An example filename would be something like this: 2010-02-26-000000-cron.log I don't really care about the format, as long as it has a timestamp of some kind. Thanks in advance.

MySQL on Linux out of memory

Map Caps-Lock to Control in Windows 8.1

Before the Windows 8.1 update, I was able to map Caps-Lock to Controls through the type of registry tweak in this post: Remapping a keyboard key in windows 8.1 However, after updating to 8.1, my tweak no longer works. What I had done was Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout] "Scancode Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,1d,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00 Windows 8.1 may have changed how it interprets the keyboard layout registry, I'm guessing. I'm an avid emacs user, so this problem is a life-or-death scenario for me.

I am not even sure if this is possible but how can I start an X server on a non-global zone? If I run startx from within my zone. UFW blocks SSL connections Varnish/Apache2 on Ubuntu 12.04

I have installed Virtualmin on a Ubuntu 12.04 server and I'm using LAMP stack with Varnish (:80) in front of Apache (:8000). However, I cannot access https when UFW is enabled. When I disable UFW, all works fine. Hyper-V Manager right clicking on remote VM causes MMC error

I have a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Server with SP1 that I log into and use to manage virtual machines running on multiple HyperV servers on our domain. Sometimes when I right click on a remote VM the HyperV Manager will crash and display the following error message: If I use the Actions menu on the lower right it works just fine, but for some reason right clicking cause MMC to stop working. Broadcom BCM5716 Hangs on CentOS 6 Boot

I have a fresh CentOS 6 installation on a Dell R310 server with a Broadcom BCM5716. The onboard NIC is causing the boot to hang for some reason. Welcome to CentOS Linux Starting udev: udev: starting version 147 Boardcom NetXtreme II Gigabit Ethernet Driver bnx2 v2.0.23b (Feb 01, 2011) bnx2 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 That's it... then it just hangs / freezes. If I disable the NIC via the BIOS settings, CentOS boots fine. I've downloaded and installed the latest driver from Broadcom's website. Any ideas?

ssh-agent key timeout with screen or tmux on bastion host

Normally I have ssh-agent running, I ssh to my bastion host then open a tmux session and connect to other boxes through that. Key forwarding works for any sessions that I open from that point forward. If I resume my tmux session after closing terminal, sleeping my laptop, whatever, my key forwarding on my bastion sessions still work, as does forwarding on any new sessions. Existing ones don't work, though. I have a little thing in my bashrc that keeps key forwarding working when I resume tmux, but I am having trouble figuring out how to get it to keep working for sessions open within tmux. For example, I have bastion01, dbhost01, dbhost02, webhost01, and webhost02. If I open a connection to bastion01, start tmux there, and then connect to dbhost01 and webhost01 forwarding works. If I close that connection, reconnect and attach my existing tmux session, then add connections to dbhost02 and webhost02, key forwarding works on the 02 boxes, but does not on the 01. Please help!

Windows Live Writer fails to start

I installed windows live writer and configured it to connect to my xmlrpc enabled blog engine. After doing so, it threw an unrecoverable error and closed down. After attempting to restart windows live writer, it throws the following exception each time: Description: Windows Live Writer has encountered a problem: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: WindowsLiveWriter Problem Signature 01: CreateThis Problem Signature 02: 115 Problem Signature 03: System.UriFormatException Problem Signature 04: 15.4.3555.308 Problem Signature 05: 2.0.50727.5456 Problem Signature 06: Windows Live Writer OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Since I was unable to start windows live writer at all, I tried uninstalling it and removing all files associated with it in my "C:/users/[username]/appdata" folder. After that, I re-installed it and still get the error every time I try to launch the application. Does anyone know how I can get around this?
