• My Linux desktop sees my HDMI-connected monitor, but my monitor says "No signal"

  I have a Gigabyte H55M-UD2H motherboard and an Acer S271HL monitor. When I connect the monitor to the motherboard via VGA, signal works perfectly. When I connect the monitor via HDMI, the system "sees" the connection, but the monitor receives no signal (the monitor shows a blue box which reads "No Signal" and then the monitor goes into power-saving state). • Auto showing tips and closing popup when lost focus

  I have two elements: a TextBox, and a Popup, where the popup contains a tree view to show some tips according to text of TextBox. When the textBox got the KeyDown Event, the KeyDown directly executes pup.IsOpen=true to show the popup tips. However, I also want to show the popup tips when the mouse on clicking the TextBox, and auto closing the popups when the mouse click on any place (besides the TextBox and the TreeView in Popup). I have tried some cases but do not works fine. Case1: Add pup.IsOpen=true; in TextBox.PreviewMouseUp, the popup will stay opening, even if I click any other place in the window. Case2: Add pup.IsOpen=true in TextBox.PreviewMouseDown, the popup tips only shows on keep clicking the Mouse. Case3: Using CheckBox with Binding IsChecked to Popup.IsOpen works fine. but the tips is listed according to the content of the TextBox, therefore the checkbox is not editable for user... • Auto populate input based on file name with AngularJS

  I am playing around with AngularJS and have not been able to solve this problem. I have a view that has a form to upload a file to a node server. So far I have manage to do this using some directives and a service. I allow the user to send a custom name to the POST data if they desire. What I wan to accomplish is that when the user selects a file the filename models auto populates. • iPhone: Can't animate contentInset while animating Nav Bar show/hide

  In my app, I have a table view. When the user clicks a button, a UIView overlays part of that table view. It's essentially a partial modal. That table view is intentionally still scrollable while that modal is active. To allow the user to scroll to the bottom of the table view, I change the contentInset and scrollIndicatorInsets values to adjust for the smaller area above the modal. When the modal is taken away, I reset those inset values. The problem is that when the user has scrolled to the bottom of the newly adjusted inset and then dismisses the modal, the table view jumps abruptly to a new scroll position because the inset is changed instantly. I would like to animate it so there is a transition, but the beginAnimation/commitAnimations methods aren't affecting it for some reason. Edit: More info. I found the conflict. When presenting the modal, I also hide the navigation bar. The navigation bar natively animates the table view up and down as it shows and hides. When I stop animating the navigation bar, the inset animation works fine. Does anyone know what I can do to work around this conflict? Do I have to wait for the navigation bar animation to finish before adjusting the inset? If so, how to I hook onto that? Any help is greatly appreciated! • Hide public method used to help test a .NET assembly

  I have a .NET assembly, to be released. Its release build includes: A public, documented API of methods which people are supposed to use A public but undocumented API of other methods, which exist only in order to help test the assembly, and which people are not supposed to use The assembly to be released is a custom control, not an application. To regression-test it, I run it in a testing framework/application, which uses (in addition to the public/documented API) some advanced/undocumented methods which are exported from the control.   I am testing a site build with a slow connection and I noticed the jQuery Accordion stays expanded for a long time, until the rest of the site is loaded, and then finally collapses. Not very pretty. I was wondering how I could keep it collapsed through the loading process and only expand when clicked. I am working with the standalone 1.6 version of the accordion plugin. • Div width: auto and IE

  I'm using the jQuery qTip to show individual users and their votes when an average rating is mousedover. qTip calls a PHP file which grabs all the users and votes for the item from the MySQL database and builds a 3 column table, which appears as the tooltip. In Firefox, the tooltip displays properly. In IE7 (haven't tested on IE8 yet), the tooltip is the proper height, but the width is only 2 or 3 characters - not the entire table. If I set the width of the div to a fixed number, say width: 300px; I can coax IE into displaying it properly. However, the length of my users' names varies considerably, and I'd rather not nail down the div to its maximum possible width and then have a crapload of whitespace when you look at an item voted on only by "Joe". Using width: auto; has no effect in IE7. Are there alternatives? Sorry if I've overlooked a similar question. I searched for a bit before posting but didn't find anything suitable. • Multi users windows login?

  I need a way to login multiple users into windows at startup, in (XP/Vista/7) I need for each time windows starts, all registered users will automatically login and starts all apps in their startup folder under their own credentials. Any ideas how I could achieve this? i need a 'cheap' alternative to windows vps. lots of people need vps to run certain apps and leave it running. it's less likely they need full admin access other than installing those apps. instead of each users have their own vps running simple apps, it might be cheaper to have one multi-user server to accomplish this?

• Fedora-13 not detecting USB HDD enclosure (with HDD)

  I recently purchased this enclosure: http://www.amazon.com/Inland-2-5-Inc.../dp/B003SZ2Y12 and this HDD: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barrac...3811667&sr=8-1 Now, I let my brother in law use the enclosure with his 160GB disk to back some stuff up. He then gave me that disk in my enclosure and I backed up my computer and my fiances computer. So...obviously, i had no problem mounting that disk. I plan on keeping this disk as my "natural disaster backup" (in case my apartment building burns down, i still have that disk with my stuff backed up). I want to use the 1.5T disk as my regular/more frequent backup device, but it doesn't seem to be mounting to my F-13 machine. I searched through this forum and found someone advising to run the following: # mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt this is the output i get when I run that: mount: /dev/sda1 already mounted or /mnt busy mount: according to mtab, /dev/sda1 is mounted on /boot Thing is, shouldn't this disk automatically mount just like the LAST disk in the same enclosure with the same USB cable and power supply? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
