  I am copying files from Snow Leopard to a mounted ext4 share via Samba, that's on a Fedora machine. Some files cannot be copied, and give this error: The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items. I've noticed that the files that can't be copied have an @ at the end of their permissions whien I do 'ls -l' in the command line. For example, I can copy the second file but not the first: -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 miles staff 1448 May 14 22:55 test.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 miles staff 136 Apr 5 17:06 image.psd.zip From what I've found, the @ means the file has 'additional properties'. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue so I can copy the files to the fileshare?? Thanks!

  I'm trying to set up a test LDAP-server for some developers but I'm running into some trouble. service slapd start errors so I run /usr/sbin/slapd -d 1 and this gives me the following error at the end: unable to open pid file "/var/run/ldap/slapd.pid": 13 (Permission denied) slapd destroy: freeing system resources. slapd stopped. The rights for /var/run/ldap are as follows: root@pec:/var/run/ldap# ls -ld drwxr-xr-x 2 openldap openldap 60 2012-07-04 20:45 So I don't get why there is still a permission denied.   I came across many questions on deep copy but non of them helped me I have a class say class A { ... public List<B> ListB; .... } where B is again another class which inturn may inherit/contain some other classes Take this scenario A is a very huge class and contain many reference types I can not mark B as serializable as i don't have access to source code of B(Though I can Mark A as serializable) Problem:below methods to perform deep copy does not work because I can not use Iclonable, memberwise clone technique as class A conatins many reference types I can not write a copy constructor for A , as the class is huge and keeps growing and contained classes (Like B) can't be deep copied I can't use serialization technique as i can not mark conatined class(like B, for which no source code avilaable) as serializable So how can I deep copy the object of Class A? (I read about "surrogate serialization" technique some where but not clear)

  I have a Windows 7 Pro host, and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS guest. I cannot get the shared clipboard working. I have installed Guest Additions 4.1.20 on VirtualBox 4.1.20, have restarted, followed instructions found at http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html#idp18411760, and have enabled bidirectional clipboard sharing within VirtualBox options. However, I still cannot copy and paste between the host and guest. Copy/paste works great within the host, and within the guest, but not between the two. I'm out of ideas.

  I have an object with a readonly property that I am trying to implement NSCopying for. It has a mutableArray called "subConditions" (which holds "SubCondition" objects). I have made it readonly because I want callers to be able to change the data in the array, but not the array itself. This worked really well until it was time to write the -copyWithZone: method. After fumbling around a bit, I managed to get something that seems to work. I am not sure if it is the best practice though. Here is a simplified version of my -copyWithZone: method: -(id)copyWithZone:(NSZone*)zone { Condition *copy = [[[self class]allocWithZone:zone]init]; NSArray *copiedArray = [[NSArray alloc]initWithArray:self.subConditions copyItems:YES]; [copy.subConditions setArray:copiedArray]; [copiedArray release]; return copy; } Is this the correct/best way to copy a readonly mutableArray?

  I have PowerShell v2.0 installed and on top of that, PSCX is installed. PSCX is the PowerShell Community Extensions (http://pscx.codeplex.com/Wikipage). It seems that I have two cmdlets called Start-Process installed and I'm guessing one is the original and the other is from PSCX. When I invoke Start-Process, the PSCX cmdlet is made to run. How can I make PowerShell run the original version instead?   I wrote a script in python that was supposed to copy a bunch of files to system32 and then install them through cmd. I can do it manually but I'm trying to make it automatic. This is what I wrote: Import shutil Import os L = ['file1.type', 'file2.type'.... ] dst = "C:\Windows\system32" For f in L: shutil.copy(f, dst) os.system("cmd command yada yada...") And it doesn't work. I tried doing it step by step with idle and it worked fine. All the files are in the same directory as the script. What am I missing here?

So, original sprite is half displayed on the right side (for example), and half on the left side, because it has not fully crossed yet. Obviously (or is it), I need 2 sprites to achieve this. One on the right side (original), and one on the left side (a copy). The problem is - I don't know how to create exact copy of the original sprite, because tied actions have scaling and blending transformations (sprite is a bit distorted). I would like to have something like: CCSprite *copy = [[jack copy] autorelease]; so that I can add a copy to display it on the correct side (and kill it after transition is over). It should have all the actions tied to it... Any ideas?

  I am running an Arch Linux (latest, up-to-date) box, and attempting to get MySQL to start at boot. With the systemd package installed I have systemctl available, and as such I can do things like this: systemctl start mysqld.service systemctl [stop|status|restart] mysqld.service That's all fine, and works great when I want to start/stop manually, however, when it comes to getting it to start at boot (by using 'enable' on systemctl, I get some nasty output): [root@rudivarch ~]# systemctl enable mysqld.service Failed to issue method call: No such file or directory Obviously, since the other commands work just fine, I'm seriously confused by this and have spent a good while trying to figure it out... systemctl status outputs this: [root@rudivarch ~]# systemctl status mysqld.service mysqld.service Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/mysqld) Active: inactive (dead) since Tue, 31 Jan 2012 15:32:28 +0000; 1min 25s ago Process: 589 ExecStop=/etc/rc.d/mysqld stop (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Process: 257 ExecStart=/etc/rc.d/mysqld start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) CGroup: name=systemd:/system/mysqld.service Anybody have any ideas as to why 'enable' doesn't work?

• PostgreSQL won't start anymore

  Today, my PostgreSQL doesn't start anymore on my windows machine... I've tried to start the service in windows services and got the following error: Windows could not start the PostgreSQL Database Server 8.3 service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Then I went to the command line to manually start C:/Program Files (x86)/PostgreSQL/8.3/bin/psql.exe, and then I got this error: psql: Could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? Edit: I found this in the logs: 2011-04-22 13:13:16 CEST LOG: could not receive data from client: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. 2011-04-22 13:13:16 CEST LOG: unexpected EOF on client connection

• Updated MVC 4 to 5.2.0 via Nuget Site compiles but wont run

  I had the bright idea of updating my perfectly working ASP.Net MVC 4 application to the MVC 5 via nuget, Everything compiles just fine but when I try to run the application I get the following yellow screen of death.   I have to save links to web pages into a google drive document. What I want is to copy simple webpage snippet, similar to the one this G+ extension button does, to clipboard. One picture and page title as a link. I was looking for many days now and I still couldn't find anything which does the same thing.   Hello, I setup my master and slave using FreeBSD. I'm currently running the Bind 9.X version, so far everything is working successfully. Just one small problem. I can't get the master copy of my DNS to transfer it to the slave server. I included transfer-allow {192.168.1.111;}; // this is the slave server's IP I ran the rndc reload command to check but I don't see the copy in the /etc/named/master/? Any help would be appreciated and if you would like the layout of my DNS, I can provide that too.

• copy/paste on MacOS gets 'Stuck'

  SnowLeopard. I commonly use copy in a terminal window to grab stuff I have to paste. A few times in the last few days, the clipboard has gotten 'stuck' on some old text. I do the copy gesture (with keyboard or Edit menu) in the terminal window. I paste somewhere else, and get something other than what I just copied. If all else fails, I can always tell the terminal to write it's content to a file and use that. But I'm wondering if there's something I'm doing to get into this pickle and if there's any way out.

  I recently got a new computer and I'm trying to use ssh-copy-id to put my keys on another server so I can login without password. but when I try ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub user@server and after inputting the correct password it returns Ambiguous output redirect. There are no other messages after that. I thought it was maybe just Ubuntu 12.10 so I installed Linux Mint 14 and sure enough exact same thing happens. I've tried removing authorized_keys from the remote server but that didn't change anything.

• What's the fastest and automatic way to transfer 2GB of data between 2 PCs every night?

  While it's fast (less than 2 minutes) I hate having to copy files from PC #1 onto a USB stick, and then manually popping it in PC #2 to copy the files to PC #2. Dropbox is too slow in uploading and then downloading 2GBs (synching), it could take hours. Copying 2GBs over the network is also slow because we're dealing with 10,000 little files that totals 2GBs, and not just one, giant 2gb file. Not sure why, but dealing with 10,000 little files makes the copy process much longer. Is there any other method that I'm missing? Any ideas? I'm using Win7 on both PCs. Edit: These files change every single night.
