• Error while reading from spreadsheet in Ruby

  I am getting following error while reading from a spreadsheet file. I have searched alot on Google. I have seen posts with similar problems but no reply to the problems. Does anyone know how to resolve this error? • Windows Azure : Server Error , 404 - File or directory not found.

  I want to upload some files of size 35MB on to the blob container. I have coded for splitting the data into blocks and upload it on to the blob container and form a blob using PUT. I tested the code for some files of Size 2MB or something... It worked well. But When I tried it for a large MB file, its giving me this error Server Error 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. when I tried it for files of size 6MB, it gives me this error.. • Random "Not Found" error with Silverlight accessing ASP.NET Web Services

  I'm developing an application with Silverlight 3 and ASP.NET Web Services, which uses Linq to SQL to get data from my SQL Server database. Randomly when the user causes an action to get information from any of my web service methods, Silverlight throws the exception "The remote server returned an error: NotFound.", of type "CommunicationException", with the InnerException status of "System.Net.WebExceptionStatus.UnknownError". Almost 10% of requests gets this error. If the user tries to get the same information again, normally the request has no erros and the user gets the data. When debugging in Visual Studio only Silverlight stops on the exception, and I see no reason for the web service not being found.

• Randomly getting a 500 error on my website

  I am randomly getting a 500 error on my websites, all of which are hosted on a shared server. It won't happen all the time, just randomly when I will refresh the page I will get a 500 error. It usually will come back after I refresh a few times. I've been reading about it and have heard that .htaccess files can cause this... I did recently start using an .htaccess file to tell my server to start using php 5. I got the code straight from the hosting company that I am with. This is what is in the .htaccess file: AddType x-mapp-php5 .php If anyone has any ideas as to what would be causing this, that would really help. Thanks!

• Error LNK1223 on ARM builds

  eMbedded Visual C++ 3 project, building for PocketPC 2000. On the ARM build, the linker throws the following error: fatal error LNK1223: invalid or corrupt file: file contains invalid pdata contributions On SH3, the project compiles, links, and works. The project also works when built for ARM on Visual C++ 2005, but I need to test builds specifically from eVC3. Any ideas, please? What's a pdata contribution and how do I affect (or disable) those? It's something to do with exception handling; I've tried disabling SEH by specifying /EHsc, to no effect.

• Excel parsing (xls) date error

  I'm working on a project where I have to parse excel files for a client to extract data. An odd thing is popping up here: when I parse a date in the format of 5/9 (may 9th) in the excel sheet, I get 39577 in my program. I'm not sure if the year is encoded here (it is 2008 for these sheets). Are these dates the number of days since some sort of epoch? Does anyone know how to convert these numbers to something meaningful? I'm not looking for a solution that would convert these properly at time of parsing from the excel file (we already have thousands of extracted files that required a human to select relevant information - re-doing the extraction is not an option).

• Receiving "MERGE" 200 OK error when committing using trac-post-commit-hook

  When running a commit with the trac-post-commit-hook I receive a MERGE 200 OK error, I understand that this means that the commit has succeeded on the server but the file status has not updated on my local machine. But I can't find anyway to fix this issue. Would this be a problem with my setup or something in the script. I'm using stock standard script from the trac site, I'm committing through tortoiseSVN to VisualSVN Server which is hosted on a windows 2008 server. When I run the script through a command line I receive no errors, I only receive this error through TortoiseSVN.

• How to produce an HTTP 403-equivalent WCF Message from an IErrorHandler?

  I want to write an IErrorHandler implementation that will handle AuthenticationException instances (a proprietary type), and then in the implementation of ProvideFault provide a traditional Http Response with a status code of 403 as the fault message. So far I have my first best guess wired into a service, but WCF appears to be ignoring the output message completely, even though the error handler is being called. My current test environment is a WebGet method (both XML and Json) hosted in a service that is created with the WebServiceHostFactory, and Asp.Net compatibility switched off. The service method simply throws the exception in question.

• Parse error when trying to install app on Asus eee PC 701 running Android 2.0

  A beta tester of mine has a Asus eee pc 701 running Android 2.0 and he is trying to install an app on it from my web site. He is able to download the app but is getting a "Parse Error: There is a problem parsing the package" error. I don't really know if this problem is with the eee pc or with the apk since he is the first person to try to install it. I built it for 2.0, the manifest has 5 as the minimum API level and I used Eclipse to export and sign it. But this is my first Android app and he is the first to try to install it, so I am not sure what the problem might be? Could just be the Android implementation too. • Flex - Is there a way to change the "Channel Disconnected" error message?

  I have a Flash app with a PHP backend. Whenever there is a PHP error, I get the "Channel Disconnected before an acknowledgement was received" error message. I'm getting ready to push my project to beta and I would prefer if this message said something more like "There was a PHP error, please log a bug" or something instead of a message they don't understand. Anyone know of a way for me to change this error message? BTW I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to Flash programming so please be descriptive. Using Flash Builder 4 Beta 2.

• hyperLink on jsf error messages problem

For this I am using the custom renderer, it works(clicking the error, focuses the respective input field) but the problem is , all the form values gets empty. ie when error occurs, all the input fields get empty.   We have created a WCF service hosted in a windows service that handles Authentication requests. The only behavior is : ServiceMetadataBehavior smb = new ServiceMetadataBehavior(); smb.HttpGetEnabled = true; selfHost.Description.Behaviors.Add(smb); Our clients are able to authenticate succesfully 10 times then we get the error The operation has timed out When we increase the MaxConcurrentSessions = 50 then our clients can authenticate 50 times before we see the error. Clearly sessions are not being closed after the authentication call is made can anyone tell why this might be happening?

• Error details in embedded IronPython

  Hi, I'm executing IronPython in my application. A script produces an UnboundNameException with the message "name 'source' is not defined". Because the script is correct in my opinion I would need more error information, but I'm not able to get them from the exception. The exception itself seems not to contain any information about line number of the source of the exception or something like this. I searched on Google, but all available information seems to be outdated. The Data dictionary of my exception is empty which means that Data["PythonExceptionInfo"] does not exist. The file version of my IronPython assembly is 2.0.20209.0 Any hint how to get more error details? cheers, Achim

• Creating a spider using Scrapy, Spider generation error.

  I just downloaded Scrapy (web crawler) on Windows 32 and have just created a new project folder using the "scrapy-ctl.py startproject dmoz" command in dos. I then proceeded to created the first spider using the command: scrapy-ctl.py genspider myspider myspdier-domain.com but it did not work and returns the error: Error running: scrapy-ctl.py genspider, Cannot find project settings module in python path: scrapy_settings. I know I have the path set right (to python26/scripts), but I am having difficulty figuring out what the problem is. I am new to both scrapy and python so there is a good possibility that I have failled to do something important. Also, I have been using eclipse with the Pydev plugin to edit the code if that might cause some problems.

• django media url is not resolved in 500 internal server error template

  Hi, I'm using a 500.html template for my app, which is an identical copy of the 404.html with some minor text changes. Interestingly the {{ media_url }} context variable will not be resolved by the server if the 500.html is presented (e.g. when I force an internal server error), resulting in a page without any css loaded. An easy way to circumvent this would be to hardcode the links to the css, but I m just curious why the media_url is not resolved. Probably it is because the server encounters a internal server error and that leads to context variables not any more available!?

• SharePoint Lookup Field 20 Item JS error

  Hi Everyone, I've got an issue with SharePoint Server 2007 SP1 which seems to be documented in various forms, but I haven't been able to find an answer to my seemingly simpler question. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointcustomization/thread/040533d2-c738-4ac2-b2d6-65a1602fa2d1 Essentially, we have a form with a lookup field to another SharePoint list. The lookup field has more than 20 items, and so SharePoint changes the type/behaviour of the field as per the standard behaviour. However, with my custom skin applied, clicking on this drop down causes a JS error from within the Core.js file, as described here: http://splitnut.blogspot.com/2009/06/lookup-fields-in-moss-javascript-error.html What I haven't been able to figure out is why this is only an issue when my custom master page is applied, and not the OOTB master pages. • Generating a error code per property in Hibernate validator

  Hi all, I am looking at using hibernate validator for a requirement of mine. I want to validate a bean where properties may have multiple validation checks. e.g. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) private String myProperty; } But if this property fails validation I want a specific error code to be associated with the ConstraintViolation, regardless of whether it failed because of @Required or @Length, although I would like to preserve the error message. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) @ErrorCode( "1234" ) private String myProperty; } Something like the above would be good but it doesn't have to be structured exactly like that. I can't see a way to do this with hibernate validator. Is it possible? Thanks.
