  • Authenticating from a "child" application via CAS

    I have a portal application that loads external content (widgets) via an iframe. Users login to CAS via the portal itself. There are a few portal APIs, though, that need to be called from that external content. What information do I have to pass from the portal to the widgets that the widgets can use to make these calls without being rejected by CAS? UPDATE The more I investigate, the more I think that my question boils down to how CAS actually does what it's supposed to do. In other words, how can I go from one site where I've authenticated to another and tell it that I've already done the authentication thing. What's the mechanism behind that and how can I employ in in a web context.

I have the Searching logic all working. The control builds custom search fields and performs searches based on declarative C# classes implementing my SearchSpec interface. How can I make it so that the C# Code Behind will have the controls generated and not null in my Page_Load event so that developers can just do this: testNameBox.Text = "foo"; ownerBox.Text = "bar"; descriptionBox.Text = "baz";

I want to load in the "url"-attribute from <user> , but only if <name> and <lastname> matches the name values i have stored in my own user database. I know how to parse the rest of it with PHP, but just the matching sequence seems difficult to me. Any help appreciated!

And what is the difference in regards to the call stack? As I understand it, for the father it goes something like this: father process--invokes fork--system_call--calls fork--fork executes--returns to--system_call--returns to--father process. What happens in the son side?

IE 6 & 7 render correctly, and I can solve the IE8 problem by triggering compatibility mode, but I'd rather not do that. Does anyone have any experience with this?     I'm trying to call ObjectContext.ExecuteFunction from my objectcontext object in the repository of my site. The repository is generic, so all I have is an ObjectContext object, rather than one that actually represents my specific one from the Entity Framework.   • UIScrollView only works if the child views aren't hit

    I have a scroll view that doesn't scroll right, I've simplified the code for below. It draws the view and some horizontal buttons that i add more stuff to in the real code. If you drag the whitespace between the buttons the view scrolls. If you happen to put your finger on a button, it won't scroll.   • NHibernate returning duplicate object in child collections when using Fetch

    When doing a query like this (using Nhibernate 2.1.2): ICriteria criteria = session.CreateCriteria<MyRootType>() .SetFetchMode("ChildCollection1", FetchMode.Eager) .SetFetchMode("ChildCollection2", FetchMode.Eager) .Add(Restrictions.IdEq(id)); I am getting multiple duplicate objects in some cartesian fashion. E.g. if ChildCollection1 has 3 elements, and ChildColection2 has 2 elements then I get results with each element in ChildColection1 one duplicated, and each element in ChildColection2 triplicated! This was a bit of a WTF moment for me... So how to do this correctly? Is using SetFetchMode like this only supported when specifying one collection? Am I just using it wrong (I've seen some references to results transformers, but imagined this would be simplier). Is this something that's different in NH3? Update: As per Felice's suggestion, I tried using the DistinctRootEntity transformer, but this is still returning duplicates.     I have a console application that is trying to load a CustomConfigurationSection from a web.config file. The custom configuration section has a custom configuration element that is required. This means that when I load the config section, I expect to see an exception if that config element is not present in the config. The problem is that the .NET framework seems to be completely ignoring the isRequired attribute. So when I load the config section, I just creates an instance of the custom configuration element and sets it on the config section. My question is, why is this happening? I want the GetSection() method to fire a ConfigurationErrors exception since a required element is missing from the configuration.   • Retrieve 2 last posts for each category.

    Hello, Lets say I have 2 tables: blog_posts and categories. Each blog post belongs to only ONE category, so there is basically a foreign key between the 2 tables here. I would like to retrieve the 2 lasts posts from each category, is it possible to achieve this in a single request? GROUP BY would group everything and leave me with only one row in each category. But I want 2 of them. It would be easy to perform 1 + N query (N = number of category). First retrieve the categories. And then retrieve 2 posts from each category. I believe it would also be quite easy to perform M queries (M = number of posts I want from each category). First query selects the first post for each category (with a group by). Second query retrieves the second post for each category. etc. I'm just wondering if someone has a better solution for this. I don't really mind doing 1+N queries for that, but for curiosity and general SQL knowledge, it would be appreciated! Thanks in advance to whom can help me with this.

As Moose does automatic object building, i do not get to understand if this something possible, and how to create a Moose class with Moose syntax and having this behaviour Eg: The user asks: $file = Repository-new(uri='sftp://blabla') .... and is returned an Repository::_Sftp instance User would use $file as if it is a Repository instance, without the need to know the real subclass (polymorphism)

How can I drop this suffix or how do I change this suffix from /xxx to / to it points to the original files location? I have tried setting the JDocument::setBase and also tried to play with the JURI object and changed its _path and _uri without any change Thanks

  • WPF - expander Collapsed event being triggered by child controls with validation

    I have an expander that contains an ItemsControl. The items in the itemsControl are templated, some have textboxes in them, others have checkboxes. Both have bindings that cause validation. The styling and validation is working as expected. The problem is when I first expand the expander and cause a change to either control, the expander collapses again, this is not what I want. If I repeat this a second time this does not happen. I'm not sure what is triggering this strange behaviour. I've tried setting the focus to the itemsControl when the expander expands with no luck. What is differnt the second time it's expanded? Could it be the validation? Any Ideas?   • Stop VCL Child Controls from Inheriting Parent Popup Menu

    I have a Delphi 2007 VCL TPanel with a TPopupMenu assigned to it. There are some TEdit controls on the panel. The edits inherit the popup menu of the parent panel. I want to not allow this popup inheriting, so the edits will show the default Windows TEdit popup menu with Copy, Cut, Paste, etc., but have not found a way to do it yet. There doesn't appear to be a "ParentPopupMenu" type property to set which controls inherit it from the parent component.
